higher number for smoother lines but it will make the strokes very slow. XD

SAI's smoothing only works with a tablet tho...

@Mkayla50 GASP! They don't approve? That's horrible! But you don't necessarily need a tablet to draw; I don't use one. :D But if you do intend of buying one, say up, dude, because they are expensive. But worth it! I recommend an Intuous or Bamboo by Wacom, though. Wacom has the best! Also, don't let your family interfere with your desires. Tell them you love anime and if they don't, that's just their choice. I love anime because most of it is realistic and teaches a lesson. Do what 'cha want!

Hmmm maybe its the stabilizer. I usually use 4 or 9 stabilizer its pretty smooth. more than 13 stabilizer is kinda overkill already lol

i suckkkkkk at lineart too. D'X my lines end up all wobbly. my one friend showed me if you use the pen tool with a little lower density, it makes it more pencil-like. it's helped me a bit.

@Natash4Life That's what it was meant for. It's actually incredibly hard to use the mouse in Sai--harder than Photoshop by a long way. But with the tablet, it owns, what with the line smoothing settings and all.

@FlamedIdea Sure. I sketch with the smoothing set to 5, usually, and ink at either 15 or S-3. Generally, I use a 1px pen tool, but you can get away with 3-10 depending on the size of the picture, and some people use the marker for inking. That's not even getting into Sai's vector stuff, but I dunno how to do that.
