Tutorial on JoytoKey Part 1

Everything works except one thing. When I restart the program, only controller 1 and 2 show up, and my configurations for controller 3 or 4 disappear!

Well im having some issues trying to use my Xbox 360 controller (MadCatz) on my new copy of Oblivion. I have Windows 7. Does this program work with 7?

If it does not, can I have any other tips from anyone? I Tried Pinnacle but had issues due to the fact there were no prior examples besides what seemed to be a "Balls to the wall" strategy only known by the man/woman? themselves/ Please, any help in this issue for Oblivion will be nice.

I kinda gave up hope yesterday, but I really love playing with this 360 controller and most other games accept it. However Oblivion you have to use 3rd party programs in order to do so. My problem was the other programs I tried had little to no explanations for my predicament. In this case, I feel JoyToKey is the same but only changes the controller over to the keyboard. Obviously I dont understand, but I need a explanation on how to suit it up for the controller itself.

I bought a generic $20.00 USB controller so I could play on Virtual NES dot com. When I tried to use Joy2Key to set up the directional pad to move my character like on an old school NES controller, it wasn't letting me set it up. Instead I'm stuck having to use the joystick which just plain sucks. How can I make this controller work like the old school NES controller without having to use a joystick and just the D-Pad? Thank you and look forward to your help.

If you want to use a wireless controller, you need a wireless receiver, which you might be able to purchase off of microsoft. Not to sure.

Awesome tutorial thanks!, but when i play FPS games like bioshock 2 and CSS ill let go of my analog stick but it will continue to move that direction, is it an error with my config or controller, thanks.

@Thefistof40k Probably is. It's a real difficult process to get it right. It took me a day to get around all the controls nd figure out which setting means what. Then it took me another day to work out all of the major bugs. Eventually I actually decided that for actualy PC games, it would be easir to use the mouse and keyboard. Now I just use it for my PS emulator

Hey, I need some help. I'm trying to play some games with this, obviously, so here is my problem. It's and Online FPS so I need to move with one joystick and look with the other. So... how do I use the other joystick. It always says in "Other" that it only detects 1 joystick. So how do I use this? And how do I use R2/L2, and the d-pad? That's all I need so thanks if you help.

@iTzzEuphoriaaaaaa to do this all you have to do is go into the system menu and hit game controllers. when you press a button of your synced controller the corresponding button numbers light up.

Aww, man. That's JoyToKey, not Joy2Key, which is a Linux command line tool which is what I was looking for. I watched for 5 minutes hoping to learn how to use the complicated Joy2Key.
