Good tutorial, and I like the effect, but the picture in the video I feel would have turned out better if you didn't blur the gate as much, but moreso the trees. A lot of high-end cameras usually have that effect anyways so it could be like a make-shift Photography effect to make it look like you're good at taking pictures. You know? ;)

You can do more than just blur the background. You can also overlay the image and increase the boldness. Or there is a filter which increases the lines and it would help make it look crisper. But when using that filter you apply the filter and then overlay it on top of the original to see the effect and after that blur the background.

Maybe then u can call it professional

the picture looked much better before so not really sure what were you trying to show here. The picutre of the "face" was blurred initially either by having the shutters go at low speed or having the aperture value increased (not likely) or which is most probably the case here the photographer had a camera shake during a shot or there was not enough light or the iso speed was not set correctly if in manual mode..you name it. I wouldn't use the picture anywhere..it has no production value at all

Sharpening an image should be one of the last steps if not the last because tweaking contrast, levels, etc, can alter sharpness do you might end needing to sharpen again or end up with an pic that's too sharp.....
