i truly wish there was an accurate flight sim with the graphics capabilities of ace combat...

@evrolicious Over-G Fighters had that realism and a good replay mode for missions but, as you say, the graphics and sound can't back up the realism. If Over-G developers could get AC6 graphics, they'd dominate. But of course, the flight action people who can't hack it with realism wouldn't buy it so the developers probably don't see realism as a profitable market some how. I dunno, I think there's enough of us flight buffs to boost sales....

@ReigningThunder yeah. unfortunately, there does seem to be a dwindling number of flight sim fans, and a growing number of arcade games-that-include-aircraft fans.

@evrolicious I wish the guys that make call of duty would make a flight sim. I would love to have teams operate with actual air support. When missiles and fuel run low, you leave the combat area, land and take back off. It'd make you a whole lot more conservative with ammo. Besides, how cool would it be to establish air superiority and make the difference in a capture the flag match? Star Fox did that kind of thing way back in the day. We can do that now, right?

HAWX fails by comparison to Ace Combat. I mean, I know neither game is realistic, but backflips in an F-35? Are you shitting me?

This game just tramples realism to the point where it's not even funny.

@17589 @17589 Yeah. If anything, Ubisoft should've gone back to the drawing board when AC6 came out. HAWX has PS2 graphics so having a bazillion planes to choose from didn't help it as much as they thought it would. Oh well. AC will continue to reign. No one seems to make viable competition for Project Aces.

@17589 The second one (coming later this year) looks better... but I'm not holding my breath... they still seem more interested in shoehorning it into the GRAW universe rather than making it good.

HAWX looks a little less interesting than AC 6, and no i don't have AC 6, or a console, but I love F-14s and this game show them at their best, I might get a PS2 emu and a copy of AC 6 to enjoy the F-14s :D.

I have watched other AC 6 videos and they look great and I'll watch yours too, thanks.

F-14s were amazing and it was a sad day when they were retired. I've never gotten to see one fly at an airshow and that kills me cause I never will now.

But definitely, if you have the chance, get AC6. The Ace Combat series never disappoints.

Is this a MMO? PC or Console game?

This is a console game for the XBOX 360 and PS3 and maybe some hand held games. Eh, it's okay I guess, there are some cool features but it's a better rental game than anything. If you have Ace Combat 6, which I think is absolutely amazing (Watch my vid "A Tribute to Ace Combat 6" to get an idea of the graphics), is way better than HAWX. HAWX is pretty much under PS2 graphics. Coulda been better.
