i remember this christmas time so well not for good reasons because i was up to my eyeballs in debt to the tune of £24,242. 2 years on im £6,718 in debt.a much better figure.Manged to get it down to this with perseverence and sacrafice.

I always feel ridiculously home sick during Christmas time, It's just not right being in Australia.. the heat and the fact that they don't really make a big deal and have the lovely commercials like home.

This has cheered me up a bit. Then again, I feel a little bit more homesick now, lol.

Thanks :) I'm in Australia, moved here a few years ago.. christmas day is like 45 degrees so you just sit there all day trying not to melt. It's hard to eat christmas dinner when it's so hot but it's not the same without it :(

Australians just have their own way of celebrating christmas, they advertise father christmas as someone who wears a singlet and thongs and lives in a caravan in the outback. It's not really a big thing, they celebrate easter more elaborately.

Not really. It's pretty much go go go from the end of October, steadily getting busier as we get closer to the big day.

I'm sure you guys get "Christmas Creep" like we do(Christmas products being displayed in stores at highly inappropriate times, like...August). The only places that I don't mind doing that are craft stores.

I will admit, though, that I shop year-round. So by the time BF comes around, I'm all done gift-wise and use the sales all for myself. ;)
