@alexafell Thank you and good points. Unfortunately I have not been getting any supplies of any sort. No time or money. I had a few gallon water containers stored away and some small propane bottles, but that was it. And it came in handy last winter with a power outage :) I hope to get on my feet soon in order to stock up on more supplies.

As U suggest many aren't prepared for any kind of an emergency. As far as concerned every home should have a private water well, if good water exists at a reasonable depth, failing that a rain water catchment setup. An alternate way to heat the home or cook food should be in mind. Open pollinated seed, and how crops could be store. is 1 thing to consider. Ways of doing without electrical power need to be in mind.

2012, I'm not expecting much. No body knows what's up with that Myan calendar for certain. The Sun can belch out an ElectroMagnetic Pulse anytime without warning. that could bust is back to 1900. I have preparation for almost any type of disaster. I have nbc suits, tons of solar panels, a underground facility, lead plating, terabytes of information in the form of books, programs, videos that are focused on any subject area you can imagine. I'm waiting a year or so and buying a several thousand 64gb flash drives and I'm going to compress assortments of the data that I have onto the drives and trading them to survivors if a major global disaster is going to happen.
Don't buy that. All data from electronics components (cd's , flash drives, etc.) will be destroyed by solar storm enormous magnetic field. Only paper books will survive.

But if you watch the show Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura, in the episode 2012, they investigate the two underground bunkers and in the one in Cheyenne Mountain, the people that work there even said,"The doors would be closed, WAY before anyone else could get there" And another person said that if need be they would fire apon people that try to get in. have increased the life expectancy of all individuals (sick or healthy) and
increased the birth rate. We as humans have a tendency to become less
competive and more generious individuals as we become more and more comfortable
with our surroundings; so, because of our general feeling of love and
responsibility to others, we now will help those with disabilities or disease
that are inevetably killing diseases or help those with handicaps.

rate. Just by the increase in population at a state, national, or global
level: the demand for resources will increase exponentially. So it shoud be
apparant there is an imbalance between the two most important factors of

The oil in which we so desperately rely upon now for power and
transportation is projected to be non existent in the next 20-25 years at the
current rate of expenditure. The rate at which we can refine resources, or the
rate we can bring resources to a point of use or consumption, does indeed have

food, and EVEN WATER) that we can DOLE out at anyone time. So we already know
about SUPPLY. What about DEMAND?

Whether 2012's Armageddon theory will be fulfilled or not is just about as
apparent as to whether you will dye of old age or dye of stage four pancreatic
cancer. Thus, one cannot ever truly know the events that lie ahead. However,
given the right statistics, trends, and education, it is very possible for one
to foreshadow DISASTER in the simplest terms and the likelihood it is to occur

You need to think in terms of your supplies will run out. research like pioneers could not.. Being prepared makes one fear less for the worst and affords some reasonable hope for.......well, you may survive in many given situations. Get in order prior to Nov. 2010. GOD be with us all.

@alexafell Thank you and good points. Unfortunately I have not been getting any supplies of any sort. No time or money. I had a few gallon water containers stored away and some small propane bottles, but that was it. And it came in handy last winter with a power outage :) I hope to get on my feet soon in order to stock up on more supplies.

I hope all is well on 2012. I think alot of this is just hype. I would like to think that its not all true, but when you look at kids who have cancer and young boys who seem to be more femanine, and people seem to be infertile, and you hear many different stories and reports...its hard to ignore. I don't believe every conspiracy out there, but I certainly try to give some attention to several theories.

I have a 3 bedroom 2 bath house with an acre of land and am only a walk away from the lake where I swim and fish. Also I have access to hunting land that is public where I also do alot of hiking. @ipodPenguinXD Well, worst case scenario, IF (big IF) scociety completely broke down and there was no infastructure, i.e. police, medical services, hospitals ect. And there was nothing but complete chaos, you may need a way to defend yourself and your family. Also, if there was no food or if you were forced to catch food, you would need a way to do that, like hunting deer, turkey, bear. Large game type animals.

As U suggest many aren't prepared for any kind of an emergency. As far as concerned every home should have a private water well, if good water exists at a reasonable depth, failing that a rain water catchment setup. An alternate way to heat the home or cook food should be in mind. Open pollinated seed, and how crops could be store. is 1 thing to consider. Ways of doing without electrical power need to be in mind.

2012, I'm not expecting much. No body knows what's up with that Myan calendar for certain. The Sun can belch out an ElectroMagnetic Pulse anytime without warning. that could bust is back to 1900. I have preparation for almost any type of disaster. I have nbc suits, tons of solar panels, a underground facility, lead plating, terabytes of information in the form of books, programs, videos that are focused on any subject area you can imagine. I'm waiting a year or so and buying a several thousand 64gb flash drives and I'm going to compress assortments of the data that I have onto the drives and trading them to survivors if a major global disaster is going to happen.

Oh yeah, but I thought Wow! over the underground facility, he said that he had. Like I said, outside of a possible solar storm leading to a failure in the power grid, I don't think that it will be the END of the world itself, but maybe just the world we have come to get used to in the 20th and 21st century thats my opinion. But if you watch the show Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura, in the episode 2012, they investigate the two underground bunkers and in the one in Cheyenne Mountain, the people that work there even said,"The doors would be closed, WAY before anyone else could get there" And another person said that if need be they would fire apon people that try to get in. Trying to prepare for a disaster might seem like a good idea.
Satisticaly though natural disasters are not as dangerous as perceived.
There are more people killed by home fires than by all natural disasters combined.
More people die from car accidents than die in hurricanes.
More people die from smoking related illness or obesity than by earthquakes and tidal waves.
If your looking for ways to escape from a potential calamity ,, the focus shouldn't be on natural disasters.
