  • UPS is one of Americ's most hostile work environment. They don't care about employees customers or your packages. The have teams of bean counters figuring out ways to rip off their big customers like Sears. They have no products to sell or develop. They are a service only company, So they are always looking for ways to make moe money to fatten the wallets of the corporate execs! Beware of UPS ship elseware.

  • i dont like how packages are handled ... not enough care

  • Box fail at 1:03 LOL jk

  • gets there fast and broke.. but don't forget to pay the overpriced rates tho before you ship!. lol

  • looks like it gets pretty rough in there, poor packages.

  • hey guys i got lots of videos on ups on my channel their all at ontario international airport their west coast hub check it out! :)

  • American workers just do not get it; the only product you have to sell UPS is manual labor, and the more high tech or efficient the hub is, the less of the product you sell they will need. You should be thankful your facility is low tech and old, that's why you're still employed. Also, machines do not complain, do not file workers comp or sexual harassment suits and do not badmouth their employer online.

  • @rsattahip

some of that stuff you said was right but not really...............

  • NYmikeFL, is Jimmy Smith ur district manager?

  • wow. the Orlando hub i work at is a way different process, and not as advanced.

  • wish i worked in this hub, sadly i work in 1 of the worsts hub in the whole country, Grande vista In Los Angeles Ca. bulk carts barely fit in the narrow hall ways, & lets not talk about technology, we do the work by hand, we have old cave man technology in there, & to top it all its a distributing hub witch means that we get all the damn packages that have to be deliver the next day, thats why we work Sunday 2 thursday i believe that its the only hub that works during the day from 10a to 3 or 4p

  • @lestat102786 You should try to work at the Harrisburg Hub! It is one of UPs's oldest hubs and it shows. There are too many high volume destinations that are still using roller lines that don't exactly roll.

  • @lestat102786 daysort i assume? i work that same sort at the phoenix hub

  • it's these types of jobs are gonna soon be replaced by automated processes pretty soon

  • @adrianroam95 Nope If It Was Revieled That They Werent Genuine Humans Then Places Like Fedex Would Start Having Humans Again And Claim They Were Still a Better Genuine Buisness

  • @mymanmyman666isdbest Uhhh. No. There must be tens of dozens of people moving packages onto the conveyor belts and making sure that they're face up getting paid $10-12 an hour. eliminating them and replacing them with machines would save a several hundred dollars an hour, and that adds up pretty quickly. It isn't any "less genuine", but jobs are lost.

  • @adrianroam95 As You Said Tens Of Dozens Of Jobs That Would Result In thousands Of Jobs Lost

  • this very good video but dont have a information for ups

    very good documental

  • @robertoyeele rubennnn

  • aaaaaaaaa

  • I ordered a 3ds from game stop and the ups is shipping it from Louisville and I'm in Kansas

  • Funny reading through a bunch of these comments on people freaking out about a package going off of the Tray around 1:02. Thats how a Tilt-tray sorter works. :P And from the looks of it, that tilt-tray sorter was one of them in the Secondary, so it probably fell into a bag.

  • if they spent less time making documentaries we'd all get our packages quicker.

  • Hey I saw my package in this video!

  • I love boxes!

  • ‹(•¿•)› WINNING ‹(•¿•)›

  • UPS Fuk you thieves

To all of youtubers individuals & Business Owners, Never deal with UPS

It is the most expensive &The worst service in the world

    I am a business owner

I tried them twice, and never again

They charge too much, sometimes more than the item shipped price

They delay the process and many times lose the parcels regrading to their "Sophisticated System" that they are showing in this video

You lose your Money, Time & You will never find head office to complain

I am suing them in Court

  • @MAIMPORT good luck dummy,I hope you have deep pockets! Ups has alot of lawyers working for them! They will bleed your small time ass dry!You can't fight a co. worth 65 billion!!! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME.

  • @MAIMPORT we also crush 1000 of pkgs every night, they dont give a crap about their employees or quality its all high paced just get the pkg to its location it be great if less ppl use them, because they abuse the workers and the system the filthy CEO's get all the money will take away benefits from everybody fuk em

  • @cetnik03 Maybe you need to move to Louisville and get a job here. I read all these comments about how UPS sucks! "They work me too hard!" BLAH BLAH BLAH! What ever happened to hard work and a good work ethic. I've worked at UPS for 22 years and it is the best job I've ever had. I've work on the ramp but had to work 2 years in the small sort when I first went full-time and the one thing I've noticed is that all the whining is done by the laziest employees.

  • @FrankCox52410

I agree with you. We knew taking this job (FT anyway) that it is not an 8 hour job, it is whatever UPS decides to shove in your vehicle. This is not the best job I've ever had, not even close, but it does have the best health and bennies - "here for the bennies not for the pennies"

  • Anyone else notice that every employee was female?

  • THUMBS UP IF YOU WATCHED THIS WHILE WAITING FOR YOUR PACKAGE!!

  • @jbeatles99 yes

  • @jbeatles99 IM WAITING FOR MY IPHONE 4S!!!!!!!!!

  • @PGMEagle ...UPS would NOT make a good undercover boss show. Supervisors are not allowed to work because it is a Union job. Teamsters would be all over them, not to mention most of the supervisors are horrible workers who couldn't handle our work, so they became supervisors. I work in the Syracuse, NY hub and let me tell you, it looks nothing like this. Packages get jammed together and get destroyed all the time. This is the only high tech UPS.

  • damn... @ my center, there's only one main conveyor that runs the length of the building. With a shade under 40 delivery vehicles, it's an practically a rural outpost!

  • omg..anyone else see that package fall off the conveyor belt at 1:02? o_o Was that supposed to happen?

  • @MoonFae2006 yeah... that package was going to its zip code

  • id be so tempted to open something lol

  • lmao this must be the ups airport, this is not how a REAL UPS looks like xDD

  • I love progress

  • Well this Peak season is going to be hell...worse in years past. If you are not a member of the Teamsters....do so...ASAP! What's going on this season is just wrong! I got a feeling, come monday, I'll be loading up to 2,500 packages...by myself. They have not even hired any helpers for preload yet. WTF! and they bitch about PPH! We come in at 4 am. In years past we would be in at 2:30 am by this time. And they wonder why the trucks are not getting out of the building on time. Duh?

  • @EricBBrandon1

I filed 6 hours sups working grievances last week. $50/hr cha ching :)

  • @EricBBrandon1

Ups is an inefficient operation. They should learn from Fedex. Fedex has no union but has better benefits better pay and better equipment to use. They treat us very well. UPS's moto is do the most with the least as possible. as long people continue to use their service and they make a profit they will continue to mistreat their workers and they don't care about turnover because people are just "bodies" if one leaves they can always replace them with another "body"

  • @luv2uallday1 two thumbs up in agreement!

  • @EricBBrandon1 hahahah

    UP TO 2,500?

My peak day this past year:

    3,500 + 238 smalls bags

    2 53'

    3/4 Shortie.

    6.5 hours

Stop whining. I bet you have breaks too, come down here to SC with no breaks and up 130 trailer temps.

  • @Saxmachine345

    our peak day last year I worked 16 hours, day/twi/mid. Made over $500 @ 25/hr 37/hr OT :)

  • @PositivelyBored You sound like about a 22 year veteran. A full-timer. I can echo that my friend!

  • @FrankCox52410

    10 years of mailing it in....errr...service ;)

  • OK UPSers, who's betting we don't get squat this year? When I first started, we got a turkey at Thanksgiving and at Christmas. Not now...they just give out huge six digit bonuses to the execs, and us, the backbone of the corporation, is getting the shaft! Something is rotten at corporate! I'm sure our founder is rolling over in his grave! He believed in his workers as the foundation of the company. Well I guess that''s not the story now! The suits are more important?!

  • TBD MEANS TO BE DETERMINED

  • PT supes= distilled feces

  • someone please tell me what TBD means please?

  • Worked at 16 different buildings, P-dale (atlanta) Staten Island & Spring Valley N.Y., and every building in N.J. except Bound Brook, and Mount Olive, but nothing like that looks like that,

  • fuck ups, i tried like hell to get a job there and they act like there too good an shit.

    fuck faces.

  • GO LOUISVILLE!

  • So much nicer than my facility. Two conveyors for the unload, where we have guys who scan and place on top or bottom. Which the top comes down a certain distance to the bottom so it can reach the one conveyor in the mobile area where I work now loading from 3 to 4 trucks. I was unloading and scanning until they decided to train me to preload. And the minimum they want you to scan is 600 / 650 packages per hr.

  • @wcazes hah, 600-650 and hr? Wow that's slow. We're expected to move at a bare min of 1,000 per hr. And when you're going THAT slow you're being watched because you're not moving fast enough.

  • @Pyrohawk24 that sucks your an unloader,

  • @Pyrohawk24 I can load trailers and say I am working safely and reading every label to work at a 400 pph. Nothing in IBT contract says they can tag you for not upholding your supervisors production number. If you have seniority and believe you have to work hard to keep your job, you are a corporate tool. If you let a supervisor work you are decreasing their numbers.

  • @exojjl fuck supes working! they still our hours!

  • @exojjl hell yeah the do! The damn bastards! We don't even get overtime anymore!

  • @exojjl unloading is the easiest yet most dangerous area in our hub. I've unloaded, loaded, sorted, SPA, data-cap, driven the Irreg train, and pretty much everything that's gone on. But keeping in mind that we are at a very large HUB, we were required to move at a 1,000 pph pace, which for an unloader, is EXTREMELY slow. I normally unload at a 1700+ pace, and 2k if it's a great trailer, but that's with my paired SPA lady and sorter.

  • @exojjl Now as for loaders, they're usually required to keep up or they'll be let go, and I do not know of a pph pace that they're expected to move at, but it all depends on the pool, the size of the pool, the amount expected to come in, and the flow comming down the slide/belt. As for the contract, it's been changed over and over, it isn't consistant. The most recent contract I saw stated that you can be let go for no reason at all. The Union would probably overturn it however.

  • @Pyrohawk24 I'm a preloader in Roswell, GA, and have been there nine years. I've been threatened with suspension due to misloads. Lord the grey hairs that have sprouted, and the sleepless nights that I've had! One of my trucks which delivers to a mall, I have to custom load. Some stores will have up to five different shelf numbers for that same store. For the last three years I've begged to be moved, but they say, nobody else can do it but me. I'm locked in (screwed!). I pay the union due

  • @EricBBrandon1 I'm a preloader in Chantilly, VA, I've only been there for about 2 years, but I've done every job in the facility. When I started there way back in '08 I was a loader in the slides. They had about 7 people on my pool a day to help me out because of how heavy my pool was, but at one point they tried to fire me over 1 misload. Didn't even notify me. In fact, I got a letter in the mail from the Union stating that they had my back.

  • @EricBBrandon1

The company cannot discipline for misloads, so never sign anything and deny all misloaded packages.

  • @PositivelyBored LOL. Local 804 tried that but were too scared (or too broke) to bring the matter to arbitration (thus setting precedent). You're INSTRUCTED to double check before you walk into a car (preload) and load a package. Misloads = failure to follow work methods and instructions, and you will be disciplined if it becomes chronic. Discipline for misloads has gone through without a hitch.

  • @Brugality

Not here. We laugh at you part-time supervisosr and toss in a couple extras. I'm FT and a steward, btw. And 804 does not allow discipline for misloads, although the co is free to bring them to the table during discipline hearings, misloads and attendence are two things that either seperately or together do not make a case, never have and never will.

  • @PositivelyBored No substantive reply. No big surprise. Work instruction and procedure is to double check before loading any package. Constant misloads are a clear failure to follow this instruction. Some loaders get a few misloads a month, others get a few misloads a day -- it simply comes down to who cares and who doesn't. Suspensions have already been handed out (no terminations as far as I know). Employees HAVE been terminated for poor attendance.

  • @PositivelyBored they tried to get me on that few years ago. my shop steward did the right thing told the supervisor it was human error not failure to follow directions. Supervisor dropped it didnt write me up. They want you to think they can discipline you for missorts but they cant.

  • @rexxythomas I've fired people for missorts, lol. It's in your contract, read it. Labor and the union will approve warning letters, and suspensions. It's a failure to follow proper load methods.

  • My dad works at ups so if i get a package he brings it home. must be hard to find.

  • @512motocrossfilms I work at UPS and one time I sorted a package that was coming to me! It was crazy.

  • if only every hub ran that smooth.. most of them hand sort packages and build smalls bags by hand

  • @EJoe2009 Yeah no kidding, my small sort runs nothing like this here in Kansas City!

  • @EJoe2009 I think every building can run that smooth if you film enough hours and edit well.

  • @wargodhernandez1 you must work for fedex

  • Pretty cool.

  • @ComputerInfoSystem which hub u work at?

  • UPS would make for a good Undercover Boss show

  • @PGMEagle Scott Davis needs showed up at any UPS facility & see how the employees are treated

  • @PGMEagle No, it wouldn't because the bosses wouldn't be able to do the work.

  • I wonder if this is the Louisville Air Hub. Most all my packages go there when I send something

  • @PGMEagle its gotta be the Louisville Air Hub. that place is massive and it gets a shit load of volume everyday.

  • @ComputerInfoSystem It's plenty frustrating when you aren't meeting your quota. If your even off by a few mins the bosses are up your ass the whole week. They expect someone comming off the street to hit their numbers in 5 days from when you start.

I've moved on to security anyways untill I finish school. I'm getting $12 an hour, have plenty of time for my HW and I have full benifits.

  • I love how they don't show the pre-load position at all. How do you think those packages get to the sorters? Some poor bastard has to unload a semi truck, filled top to bottom with packages weighing up to 75lbs in half an hour or less. All for $8.40 and hour.

  • I recently ordered $120 worth of merch and even though I provided it, they claim my apt # was missing. So instead of just taking it to the apts' office, they take it back to the hub to "find" another address. I looked it up on the tracker the next day and it was sent to KENTUCKY. I've never even BEEN IN KENTUCKY! The worst part is it was signed under MY NAME! UPS won't do anything about it because they claim it was DELIVERED. UPS is THE WORST company ever.

  • UPS SUCKS, THEY DESTROYED MY GUITAR AND THEY DO NOT WISH TO HONOR THE CLAIM tracking number1ZR449X00322804879

JOHN MILLER AND CHAD MOORE AT UPS CLAIMS DENIED MY CLAIM , I SELL GUITARS ONLINE AND I WILL NEVER USE UPS AGAIN, SPREAD THE WORD PEOPLE UPS SUCKS

  • Smalls is easier than a cake walk without walking. Real men load.

  • small sort is cake compared to loading in the hub!

  • @Subliminal42069 Pre-load is worse. That's where you're unloading a semi in under 30 mins and packages up to 75lbs are avalanching on you because the person that loaded the truck doesn't care enough to put the heavys on the bottom.

  • @audallas841 ya i have heard of that. some employee got drilled in the head by an irreg at the hub i work at. it was loaded up high. i have unloaded before and it is kinda dangerous. one guy got totally buried by boxes once. someone had to dig him out.

  • "This place never ends". - UPSer 43rd street manhattan, NewYork.

  • UPS is fucking slow.I ordered an Item from California to NY using FedEx and I got it in 3 days. I used UPS to get some papers from NJ to Long island and it took 7 fucking days(delayed=beyond UPS control..wtf its just a 20 lbs box)...if it is for business urgency don't use UPS.

  • i order my and i bought 4 idems and i waited for 5 f**king days and today is the

5th day and i hop it f**king comes sorry for the bad language but im mad

  • @crazyguy22jt so you youtubed a UPS vid to vent on :P nice.

  • UPS is amazing

  • What will UPS do for you? Nothing! Next day air NBA All Star tickets for my 50th birthday not delivered until Monday after the game with sorry the weather was bad. Told to contact the shipper that there was nothing UPS could do, all the while, my package sat in the Service Center Friday morning @ 8:58am on the 12th. Spoke with 4 different Customer Service supervisors and they all had the same responce - sorry but we can't help you. Now this is Customer Service at its finest.

  • I live in Louisville KY and we have one of the more larger UPS hubs and different hubs located across the city. There are parts of the company here that will give you a 8 hour shift, 5 days a week, full benefits and the best part are NON UNION! But it's really hard to get onto those shifts since everyone tries to. Just because it's non union they don't treat you bad, hell they treat their workers there better than they do their union workers.

  • it didnt fall off o.o it was assigned for that port i fgt xD

  • @kirbyflys good thing hat wasnt mine :p

  • Small sorts are HORRIBLE to work

  • If you don't want your package where its supposed to be on time then don't use UPS. Everytime I use UPS it works without fault. Anytime I use Fedex it seems like it takes forever. I HATE SHIPPING!!!

  • they missed the part when the driver rings my bells, waits 2.3 seconds then leaves and says my package was undeliverable.

  • @kingdoc THATS WHAT USPS DOES! FUCKING BASTARDS! MY UPS GUY NO HOMO lmao he comes to my door waits a good minute then leaves :D

  • @kingdoc they deliver my package in the middle of the day when i'm not even home because apprently according to UPS we're all retired and wait for packages.

  • @kingdoc lmao tru

  • cause that's where it's destination was... lol

  • 1:03 a box fell of the conveyer belt lol hope that wasnt fragile

  • makes me wanna transfer to small sort

  • i got a question u guys, for ups delivering of packages, can you use any packages or only the ones ups sells. and how much is a possible small box cost.

  • @XVietAZNPrideX as a ups driver, u can use any box. Just make sure it is packaged correctly meaning use the right amount of tape and always verify the to and from address. Peace. Las vegas.

  • I'm an auto tech for UPS. Best company to work for hands down. UPS is about long term as far as employment goes.

  • I worked at a hub for 4 years as a sorter.

Lemme just say, people that ship stuff through there are idiots!

I was always coming across boxes that were packed so full of stuff, the walls of the box were bulging out, boxes used that were so old they were deteriorating, boxes with 2 labels (the old label wasn't even x'd out with a marker), wrong tape used (electrical or scotch tape instead of box tape), no attempt made whatsoever in terms of bubble wrap or packing peanuts to protect the items, etc

  • (had to use 2 comments because I ran out of space)

So yeah, anyone who complains about UPS and damaged items, it's usually because of improper packaging. It's not UPS's fault if you don't follow their guidelines on how to package your items.

  • And when the package gets damaged the customer blames you. I for one DESPISE double labels. I mean it takes all but 10 seconds to take a marker and cross off the label. The stupid people shipping shit is the hardest part of being a loader.

  • lol yeah I hated double labels... One time on the sort, my supervisor told me to "check the dates" to find the proper label. I was like, "I don't have time!"

  • I did the same thing. I don't even bother checking the dates anymore because most had the same one. (10/2009) I usually looked where they were coming from. They even were strange at times. Like one had a NC label and an NJ label. The NC label said it came from the NJ zip and the NJ label said it came from the NC zip. My supervisor stood there staring at the labels for a good 3 minutes before he finally said fuck it its bad.

  • instead of check the dates sometimes you can just glance at the weight.

  • USPS BEATS FEDEX AND UPS!

  • And thats why someday UPS will take over USPS right? You'll see when USPS starts delivering only 2 days a week instead of 6

  • They are onlu showing the easy jobs. Show the hard jobs like the loaders and unloaders. I was an unloader at UPS before I quit. All I have to say is its not worth it. UPS at the hub are just slave drivers. They expect way to much from people just for the 3 hours you work there a night.

  • I work as a loader and yeah its hard but OMG think of becoming a Driver making $70,000+ a year... Holy Hell, i just got done with driver school and im driving for Peak making only $15 hr but damn, Im looking for the big bucks down the road

  • yeah I kinda hate ups, they don't even take care of your item but I would so work for ups to deliver stuff/drive

  • Think twice before saying that. You have to remember that the job is very fast paced. The average package should only be touched by a person for 5 seconds, or at least it seems like that, if you take time to neatly place each package in your wall, you will back up very fast or your wall will collapse and dozens of packages will fall on you.

  • Can't agree with you more. Sort is mentally harder than load but you figure that this hub is automated. At my hub everything is done by hand. (as far as I know, haven't really been to small sort) UPS is only worth it if you are in it for the long run.

  • Even if you are in it for the long run the only way you will ever move up is if you are willing to become a supervisor.

  • Comment removed

  • Our new hub that has been built a year ago looks nothing like this. if u ask me i think this is TNT

  • This place looks like NASA compared to my hub.

  • @beercap0 fuck ups they are slow as a fuckin grandma with a walkier

  • @beercap0 LOL

I work at the largest UPS centre in the UK. and it is NOTHING LIKE THIS PLACE...

    i wish it was

  • Used to work there

  • I work the morning loading shift at a UPS center in a downtown area of a relatively major city, and our center doesn't look a lot like this one. Ours is mostly older and more broken.

And to a lot of people in these comments, keep in mind, while it's easy to just give us all flak and see UPS as a faceless corporate entity, most of us are just regular people doing our jobs as best we can, day in and day out. We're no more infallible than you are.

  • And i'll complain cause i can. What kinda shits that. Lifes a bitch for ppl, and im just another brick in the wall. Yeah and fuck those bags, i'll complain about that cause they absoulutley fill them up to the fullest and gets heavy

  • I agree, no wonder why my desktop arrived to me DAMAGED (international shipping)

  • yeah whatever about proofreading. i just don't give 2 shits about this job. I'm glad tomarro is my last day at the toledo hub. I'm only 1 week away from my 1st year anniversery, and i gotta go off to college. Couldn't get job transfered cause of just the one week, plus the other hub wasn't asking for any newhires when peak season is coming up. Horseshit! only alternative is an rehire card, i can go work possiably any hub around the U.S, but gotta start over from scratch.

  • If I get a knock knock whos it "ups" tomorrow in the morning that will be the happiest moment in my life, I ordered a ps3 slim with 4 games from gamestop, but gamestop ordering process sucks, it easily cancell your order for no reason. So please god, if you don't give me a knock knock ups tomorrow then fuck you.

  • It's like Business deliveries first, then home deliveries later with UPS. I've never had to wait after 11:00AM for a Fedex Delivery.

Even USPS is faster than UPS. And I don't even like USPS when it comes to package deliveries.

  • FEDEX is better because they have different vehicle for different types of packages. In my case, home delivery. The day my package is suppose to be delivered through Fedex, I usually receive it around 10:00AM. If UPS is delivering it, then I'll have to wait the entire day to receive it, after 6:00Pm in most cases. This is ALL the time with UPS. With FEDEX your home Delivery package is in a vehicle with other home delivery packages which means your package will be delivered quicker.

  • UPS sucks because they deliver different types of packages all in one vehicle. Which usually means you'll have to wait a long time for your package to be delivered to your house.

  • hummm .....interesting now I'm expecting a 93 lb $2,000 Velodyne subwoofer I sure hope they handle the shipping with a lot more care.

  • i like UPS. tey show how they handle their packages with care and if the bar code is wrong they dont just throw it away. im getting and american

girl doll soon so i wonder if she went through this too.

  • Comment removed

  • I know someone who works for UPS. They kick boxes around.

  • im waiting 4 ma graff supplies

  • A box falls off the Belt <<Um, it's YOUR responsibility to be sure YOU package your item securely for shipping. Accidents happen. That's why you properly secure your article.

I've worked for UPS for 10 years, 99% of Damaged good were not properly packaged for shipping.

I ship items through UPS. I treat YOUR package like it's MY package. :o)

  • damn, why do people whine so damn much? ups handles millions of packages a day. of course there are gonna be issues here and there. i guess everyone that's complaining is perfect and never makes any mistakes.

  • a box falls down on the belt at 1:04

  • im waitin 4 my xbox. delivery date is the 21st. does any1 kno if i can possibly get it early??

  • im waiting my xbox 360 too... delivery date 20th. i am pissed that it does not come on saturday!!! now i got too wait until monday. SHITTT!!! FUCK UPS!!!

  • no dumbass

  • UPS Does deliver on Saturdays. !!!!!

  • i'm getting my pocket bike the 21st. XD... you should custom paint your xbox contollers. Look up some designs here on youtube :)
