  • This is my favorite guitar solo of all time. Always thought Syd was playing it until I read the description. Does anyone know what guitar Bob Klose was using on this track? Its got a distinct jangly sound

  • @BeholdAndSee93 i know i rated this solo and i though it was syd.

  • @bryancranstoncrand I also thought that Syd was playing lead on Lucy Leave, but I guess not. Bob Klose was a badass guitar player, I think he likely influenced Syd's style a lot

  • @BeholdAndSee93 Hey dude check out my song its called "the majority" i wrote it a while ago but i uploaded it the other day. id appreciate your comments its on my profile favourites.

  • there listening in real time..........ah Zabriske Point, just so he could use "Careful with that Axe" on the exploding desert-ultra-modern-styling house scene....

  • Honestly, for 1960's music, they were really shit....

Apart from Interstellar overdrive, and being the most stoned band,

even more into drugs than the Stones,

The LSD was the attraction for fans.....Rebel band playing shit, but thats ok their all on LSD.

Careful with that AXe and One of these Days I'm going to cut you into little pieces were

THE BEST OF THE THEIR 60S SONGS

They said Antonione wrote..I used to have the poster, what do you call him....not vanishing point, ahnhh.

    Yes your all out

  • @gomerpyleism Honestly, you don't know what you're talking about. Stop sharing your opinions as facts. I love Pink Floyd with and without Syd Barrett, with and without drugs; and if you don't, good for you. fuck off

  • @gomerpyleism u really missed the boat m8, Syd was truly one of the most amazing artists who ever lived.

  • This song has great memory for me. My ex and I had stopped to get gas and I left the cd playing this tune. So I crept up to her window and started singing it to her and I said "Can buzz all night long" she grinned and said "Nuh uh" shaking her head as our earlier session had only lasted a hour. We sure made up for it that night though. That`s when I was still in my 20`s and felt like super man. Now I`m in my late 30`s and I must have picked up some kryptonite somewhere lol.

  • Who played the Harmonica?

  • Blues=The United States of America. Sorry Tea sippers, We drink our tea cold.

  • @astar334 - I was born a raised in New Orleans and my dad and his dad and his dad before him were all bluesman. It may have originated here but one thing I've learned is that it doesn't fucking matter what country you're from, the blues are for anyone.

  • I love Syd, but his vocal doesn't seem to match the subject matter.

  • My bad - it was @silaslangsyd 's quote ... oops!

  • Quoting @MyAlvarosantiagoferr: "LEARN TO TYPE ENGLISH BOY , YOUR LAUGHED AT ." Are you familiar with the adage "People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones"? It's "you're" NOT "your"! *Laughs straight back at you!!!*

  • @Scraggle001 thanks for the tip , but me not givin a shit about things like that must bother you so , thats what the joke is i suppose . next time try not to quote the wrong person. laughs straight back @ you . ya see pobodys nerfect .

  • I love Pink Floyd, and I love blues music... but this is a pretty horrible rendition of a great song! Sometimes 2 great things just don't go together so well. (Just ask David and Roger! LOL)

  • That bass line is so awesome.

  • pink floyd fits with almost every genre of music, i love this band <3

  • Well, I'm a king bee

    Buzzin' 'round your hive.

Well I can make honey, baby.

You gotta let me come inside.

    Well, I'm a king bee

    (King bee.)

  • version of stones is better!

  • @MrAlvarosantiagoferr No its not ya fool , stones are shit man . long live tha FLOYD . Stones do a basic version, FLOYD put real sound to it . so FUCK YOU , how do ya like them apples.

  • @silaslangsyd fuck you pink floyd! this band is garbage!!!! syd was idiot! and you is gay!!!!

  • @silaslangsyd suck my cock your bastard!!!!! motherfucker!!!!! gay!!!!!!!!!!!! silaslangsyd is gay!!!!!! floyd is shit!!!! stones forever!!!!!

  • @MrAlvarosantiagoferr One thinks you protest too much, seriously Stones are sell outs , music is average. barrett wrote better songs on his worst day , than mick the dick jagger on his best . you suck a dick ya fat virgin

  • @silaslangsyd suck your gay! hahahahhha

  • @MrAlvarosantiagoferr you are a freak . Learn english .

  • @silaslangsyd well then suck it your gayness ;)

  • @CoCobihouet who asked ya ?

  • @silaslangsyd your mom hooo wait.... you dont know her....

  • @CoCobihouet you got to be from America , low IQ . its not your fault

  • @silaslangsyd fuck off youre probably 12 or something

  • there's that F word again......said people can't think of a substitute word...guess it makes them feel tough..i'm scared now

  • @jimbronxny Whats wrong with it? Its only three consonants and one vowel. The Floyd used this word on many occasions themselves.

  • @silaslangsyd Not everyone from America has a low IQ you asshole.

  • @sobedude4 kcid a kcil

  • @MrAlvarosantiagoferr I really don't think it's possible to own a gay, let alone suck one

  • @MrAlvarosantiagoferr grow up.

  • @MrAlvarosantiagoferr if you think pink floyd are shit why are you listening to really early obscure covers they did when they werent even famous? seems abit like a waste of time if you ask me, was it just so you could leave a stupid comment then get bitched at and piss a load of people off?

  • @MrAlvarosantiagoferr no way jose, syd's vocals sound waaaaaaaaaaay more seductive. he works this song nicely =)

  • @sillycivilian ok ! i think version of stones more blues, listen slide this Brian jones!? amazing!.

  • @MrAlvarosantiagoferr LEARN TO TYPE ENGLISH BOY , YOUR LAUGHED AT .

  • un buen blusesito en manos de syd y pink floyd

  • if it's in the youtube isn't rare

  • My fave version of this song is from The Bad Seeds, out of Texas, 1966!

  • yea thats syd on guitar why is gilmore on the pics that a pic from like 71 great stuff though

    thanks

  • @diggjc Actually, it's Bob Klose on lead guitar.

  • roger on the harp

  • i have to say im not much of a Pink Floyd fan but this is great. not sure if it better then the stone but great job

  • WHO is singing this? is syd barret singing this? someone tell me

  • @freddiebarry93 Yeah its syd.

  • @freddiebarry93 yeah, it's syd! =)

  • quiero ese cd¡¡¡¡¡

  • Aaron Herrington

  • Syd sings the blues...sweet! I wonder who's on the harp? Roger?

  • @StUkulele No idea, but I hear no keyboards, so maybe it's Rick on harmonica?

  • hot lyrics

  • This was actually recorded during the sessions for their very first demo in December, 1964, when they were still going back and forth between the names The Tea Set and The Pink Floyd Sound. It's a cover of a 1957 Slim Harpo song.

Good sound on this--lineup here is Syd Barrett on rhythm guitar/vocals, Bob Klose on lead guitar, Nick Mason on drums and Roger Waters on bass.

  • i heard better coveres of this song i love pink floyd but not in this song

  • Syd is a good blues guitarist..

  • lol it kinda sounds like

"I can make good honey let me cumn inside"

  • I like honey... but pardon me no room for ya inside ...haaha

Ya can buzzzzz outside ... what a lovely cover :-)))

  • this song sounds funny when sung by englanders

  • wow!!i knew the stones version!!hadn't a clue till now that pink floyd did it!brilliant!!

  • Pink Floyd wrote "Dogs".

  • marrrkeeee se puede ir a meter el dedo..

  • It´s just great, man!

  • cool, love this song

  • não desmerecendo o gilmour, mas é um absurdo ter o gilmour nessa foto, com essa música, e nao ter o barrett

  • @budniismo totalmente de acuerdo.

  • Pretty bad. Syd lousy. PG singing. Pretty nice sound, tho. I'll take the Stones and Slim Harpo's original. Tnx. (Floyd fan.)

  • rolling stones did this on there first american album

  • @TEMPmichaelhansen You don't think Pink Floyd playing blues standards is rare? Fine, Junior, post another Floyd blues track and I'll mail you my f***ing Strat.

  • @hotrodius

it is too common among bootleggers. ever heard 'drift away blues" (not a standard) but they did a lot of 12 bar blues ect... -it is too common and easy to find on bootleg...

  • not really rare by todays standards...unless they did many different takes...

  • when was edited that album?, (early fligts)

  • Syd Barrett papá!

  • pink floyd wrote "dogs"

  • great! what a discovery... they weren't called Pink Floyd without a good reason.

  • Syd see you at the Dark Side OTM !

  • for pinkpigsheep1977. You are right. started at christmas 1964 but finishing touches put feb 1965.

  • This is Syd Barrett singing and it was recorded in February 1965 not 1966. Don't understand why there is a picture of Dave Gilmour on the cover!

  • 'Don't understand why there is a picture of Dave Gilmour on the cover'

Because it is a random bootleg cover (I do own this one) from the early 70's line up. Dave Gilmour didnt join till Jan 1968!

    (Hello Jenny from Alan G.....)

  • 1964- Christmas.

  • Guitar solo is awesome! So bluesy and so.... psychedelic.

  • Awesome. Thanks for posting this.

  • why the fuk do u keep repeating yourself pink floyd wrote dogs itz getting old and pissinging me off

  • So, you're saying that the sentence Pink Floyd wrote "Dogs" pisses you off, but the fact that the words "You Tube" are constantly in the upper left hand corner of the screen dosen't piss you off?

  • class comment!

  • you keep repeating yourself dumass we all know pinkfloyd wrote dogs so shut the fuck up

  • Pink Floyd wrote "Dogs".

  • hey shut the fuck up brokenchair88 like wat the fuck shut up

  • Comment removed

  • roger waters wrote "dogs'

  • If you are going to try to disprove me, then please at least try to get your facts straight. If you wanna get technical about it, Roger Waters and David Gilmour wrote "Dogs". But don't get yourself all excited, though. I'm still gonna go around saying "Pink Floyd wrote "Dogs".
