  • LOVE!

  • How fortunate we were to have a choice with Mike, BUT only to blow it & then to top it off not choose Ralph who made it onto our ballots, what a LOSS!!!!

    How Stupid!!!!

    Dummies.

  • This guy is cool, he looks like he would go against it. Please convince Congress Mr. Gravel.

  • This guy should be our president.

  • @joeyyowee I agree with him on this issue but on others he is nuts.

  • @joeyyowee I changed my mind NEVER MIND ignore my last comments

    I was wrong lol

    HE IS AWESOME

  • @musicfan088 I don't agree with him on every issue either, but he's down to earth and real unlike 99% o the politicians out there right now. Those are important qualities that I look for in a leader. I don't like leaders who sugar coat things.

  • mike gravel is a old hippie! I LOVE HIM!!!!! LOL

  • gravel makes a good point, the mafia can't just sell illegal guns, if we take marijuana away from them they are going to go to harder drugs

  • hes the koolest president...hes got my vote

  • Mike Gravel will end the ghoulish hideous farse mis-called the war on drugs.

  • Thank you Mike Gravel for being an informed Candidate. I am glad that there are finally people that know the truth about marijuana.

  • I never smoked, and I don't drink anymore. But the government has no right to tell people what they can or cannot do to their own bodies and minds. The governments role is not to regulate, but to only be involved when a person has violated another perons rights, or to stop that from happening - drug use doesn't fall into that catagory. Nor does prostitution for that matter. What Mike says is right ... I only wish he wasn't anti-Capitalism.

  • Why has posting any comments on his pot safter than booze video been disabled? Why? because booze makes the government alot of money. Thats why and pot makes the masses start to think and thats exactly what they dont wont us to do.

  • its to bad that when someone speeks the truth the media shoots them down or completly ignores them completly. Propaganda sucks.

  • Many of the legal medicines sold in the U.S. in the 1800s contained ingredients from marijuana or cannabis. Hundreds of substances in marijuana have been identified as being beneficial to health. But the alcohol, tobacco, drug, medical, lumber and cotton lobbies to congress hate it and want to keep it illegal to grow.

  • In the 1800s, Marijuana was Americas biggest cash crop. As late as the 1890s in Kentucky it was the biggest cash crop. It makes no sense to be allowed to sell products made from marijuana imported from Canada etc. but not be allowed to grow it in the U.S.

  • yes, well said in 500 characters or less too

  • Right on! Rules and Regulations - take them and throw them all out the door. Get the fuck out of my business!

  • This guy is fuckin dumb, Obama 08!

  • Why do you say hes dumb?

  • yess.. elaborate.. robert..

  • Obama's a slug, a wretch, an Uncle Tom and a pro-war anti-freedom candidate for the status quo. Be VERY careful before you go voting for war with Iran.

  • O -Bama Jelly - What a fucking half-monkey house nigger. I'm surprised anybody can see his fucking face since it's shoved so far up the collective Zionist ass! He and Hitlery should go out bowling!

  • He's right, but i still support Ron Paul

  • Ditto

  • FUCK YEAH THIS GUY IS JESUS

  • THANKKKK YOUUU

  • in response to someone who said that mairjuna causes drug deals and killings. If marijuana was legal it would actually put an end to the "gangs" "crimes" and "deaths" that are around it. IF marijuana was legal, the government would control it and all the would go away. Plus we would stop wasting billions of tax dollars trying to stop it when i know almost everyone can atleast call 5 people in there phoe and get it driven to there house

  • A senator with the balls to speak with common sense against the status quo. Bravo. Too bad the country has it's head so far up it's ass on this issue. He said it, addiction is a puplic health issue, not a criminal issue. The laws have created the criminals, and given dealers the power and money that they have accumulated. Who can argue with this? Amazingly, so many brainwashed morons do.

  • I hate drugs.But,he's right addiction is a public health problem.but marijuana/cannabis/hemp is not a drug it's a plant,like Gov.Schwarzenegger said.

  • senator gravel has a very good point...just thought id throw my two cents in

  • This guy is what this country needs, someone who speaks truthfully.

  • thats why you have no friends

  • no friends eh. you dont even know me. i have friends that have gone and come out of rehab because of me, and thanked me their life for it. so dont come telling me shit that i have no friends, and go accomplish something in your life for once.

  • imo, any substance that fucks with your mind shouldnt be allowed.

  • "allowed"? where? by who? for who?

  • just in general. to the public. imo, people shouldnt take it in the first place. it screws with your mind, and then youre not up to 100% of your potential. again, imo, if you put a substance in your body that screws with the way you think, theres somtn wrong there.

  • ok then dont say that we shouuldnt be allowed to do something. if you dont want to do something then dont, dont try to stop other people from doing what they want.

  • and thats the problem exactly. thats why we have druggies all over the place, and drunk driving happening, and drug deals, and people being killed because of it. it may very well be a harmless joint, but ppl still contribute to the whole deal.

  • i dont think that you have thought this argument through very well. agree to disagree?

  • ive thought it well, as ive had the same argument for quite a while. if nobody did it, we wouldnt have problems. but if everyone did, thats one fucked up world. but clearly we dont understand each other. so, yes, agree to disagree.

  • You sound like an intelligent, responsible, law abiding adult. If you wanted to have a glass of champagne, and someone kicked in your door and arrested you for it, how would you feel? Remember, this is America, not Nazi Germany. Do you really need the government to tell you what you can do peacefully and in the privacy of your own home?

  • from my experience, any substance that affects the way one thinks, shouldnt be considered for public consumption. If someone kicked my door in, id be thankful that someone woke up. and what a compliment. im actually 16, born and raised in mexico, and currently live in canada.

  • Woke up? You lost me.Smoking? Cigarros? Teuilla? You want to punish people who enjoy these responsibly? Because that is what you are saying. That people should be punished for this. Persecution and punishment of peaceful people who choose to live differently than you. Ever heard of freedom? I never thought I would feel I actually had to fight for it. I grew up being taught that my forefathers died so I would'nt have to.

  • dont give me no tequilla and cigarro shit, i know english dude. its just my opinion, that taking something that affects the way you think is simply not being responible whatsoever.

  • We have been having a conversation and I am very aware that you speak just as good English as I do. You took it as an insult and it most certainly was not. So, that aside, does doing something that another person MAY consider "irresponsible" warrant persecution and punishment? Smoking cigarettes? Cigars? Alcohol? Pot? Caffine? Sugar? Fat? Are those all on your irresponsible list?

  • fat? i said the way you think, not look. pot affects the way one thinks, so does alcohol. imo, they should just have never been legal. and they acually werent for a while, back in the 30's. and in general, taking drugs, or drinking, or doing some other stupid thing that affects a brain, is usually irresponsable. lol, im in a band, and when people bring drugs, or come drunk to a show, we actually kick them out. and its working so far, because quite a few people are getting the message.

  • Wow. Talk about being in the wrong business. Are they allowed to drink coffee? Smoke? Do you have a checkpoint where you search everyone?---You are throwing people who are drinking out of clubs? The club owners must love you guys. The gigs must be rolling in. Rock on dude. - Do you drink coffee? Imo, that affects your thinking and is irresponsible.

  • i dont know if you know about shows, but people under the influence stand out quite a bit. the gigs ARE rolling in, and the club owners love us because we take some sort of stand against people using substances to affect the way they think. i do not drink coffee. coffee or cigarettes do affect they way one thinks, but not to the level that alcohol and drugs go to. i dont see my mom tripping out on starbucks...

  • Oh. So there are LEVELS that we should allow for? Who decides? By the way, just by doing gigs and getting paid to play in places that profit from selling alcohol to people, makes you a walking talking contradiction. Now, if you told me that you guys only play at A.A. meetings I would be impressed. Somebody might say that makes you full of shit.

  • we dont get paid, and we dont play a.a. meetings. in fact, we have a show at the toronto opera house, and have warned fans not to come drunk, or stoned, because they will be kicked out. coffee, sugar, are foods, everyday foods. drugs are not an everyday thing, and they can change they way one thinks drastically. alcohol changes ones behviour. we kick people out of shows because we want them to have fun in a clean way. and lots of people are responding to the actions taken.

  • I have been to the Toronto Opera House. They have a very classy bar in the foyer. You keep adding specifics to your arguments. First it was anything that affects thinking. Then it was anything irresponsible, now it is anything that DRASTICALLY affects thinking. Our whole conversation was about what people should be punished for by law.Punished. Jailed.Hurt.I don't want to do that to anybody that is not hurting anyone else.

  • what the toh does is their business, but we have warned our people. anything that affects thinking , IS, imo, irresponsible. of course coffee or sugar arent going to be banned. they dont change the way one thinks in an excessive manner. drugs go. alcohol does. youre saying the word lol "hurt, jailed". i said that if someone kicked in my door, id be thinking that someone realized what most people decide to ignore: that scrweing with a brain isnt so good at all.

  • So there are different levels of mind change? When you drink coffee it is used to wake up, isn't that a mind change. And who are you to decide. Is it my right to tell you that you should do drugs and alcohol? No,so why should you decide what people should do?

  • Yes some laws are there to protect people and I agree with that, but just like alcohol pot affects your judgment, so why can't they legalize it, and have the same rules about it like they do with alcohol? example: Do not drink and drive, just apply that to pot. Also have you thought of the medical aspect of it? Many people need pot for many different medical reasons. Should they be denied for wanting to use an alternative for pain instead of pills?

  • Case studies have showed that marijuana has no effect on your driving due to awareness of intoxication, whereas people tend to actually drive more cautiously because they're stoned. However, I do still agree that should be regulation rules, like in Amsterdam, where you're not allowed to just light up in public.

  • Yes, I can agree with that, I think that people should use it responsibly, but still think that people should have a right to use it.

  • Oh, absolutely. I was just pointing out that there was a case study regarding driving, that's all.

  • I strongly AGREE with you, if people don't want to do things than they don't have to. If someone is doing what they want, not bothering any one than why can't that someone just be left alone? I think people should not try to push their beliefs on other people, it is wrong.

  • so alcohol should be illegal? it should be your own personal choice weather you smoke weed or not. it might fuck up your life if your lazy or don't have any self control and it will make you less productive than if you didn't smoke just like alcohol but your not gonna go rob somebody or suck a dick to get your fix so let people have the responsibilty to make decisions for themselves rather than just listen to what are government tells us and take it as the truth.

  • if you guys don't want him in office we'll take him in Canada!!

  • some of us want him

    others are brainwashed.

  • mastercracker i salute you

  • I am voting for this guy!!!!!!!!

  • great answer

  • AWESOME

  • Perfectly stated.

  • did you just say marijuana is one of the most addictive and dangerous substanes known to man? have you been watching reefer madness or something? marijuana is safer than most everyday foods we eat. learn some facts before making yourself look like an idiot

  • Do you know what sarcasm is? Read the last two sentences. Seriously, mellow out. People nowadays are so defensive and condescending.

  • haha, ok my bad.

  • DEADAGENTDON you are such an ignorant fuck. You think marijuana is one of the most "dangerous" and "addictive" substances? How many people die a year from drunk driving? a hell of a lot more than people who are high and driving. And if that god bless W. means god bless bush you can go fuck yourself and go to hell.

  • Wow. Give peace a chance why don't you... Seriously, have you ever heard of sarcasm? Use your brain along with your mouth. Read my comment again and think : "sarcastic remark." Toughen up, pansy. If I really was anti- herb, do you really think bad mouthing me like that is a good way of educating me? Doubtful.

  • Wtf dumbass? You actually believe that marijuana is one of the most addictive and dangerous drugs?

First off, marijuana is NOT addictive at all you moron!

Secondly, if marijuana is so dangerous, how do you explain how 435,000 people die annually from tobacco, 85,000 from Alcohol, hell even cause of poor diet, 365,000 die, yet "somehow" NOBODY dies from marijuana, why is that you dumb fuck? Oh and if you mean god (which isn't real) bless bush, then you can suck hitlers nuts you fucking moron!

  • Sorry, this was actually supposed to be a response towards deadagentdon.
