isacc wasnt even near the ishi when this was going on

communications between the ishimora and the colony stopped

so they went in to investigate issac was an engineer thats why he has the plasma cutter i believe i didnt play ds1 but yeah.

The marker is taken back to the colony at the end of ds1 or something and the colony starts to be come effected

then later transformed into necromorphs like in t he ishimora

The bacteria are somehow able to reposition and reconstruct some of the biomass from the organisms they infect to create new appendages (body parts)

It makes sense that security doesn't have grenades, heavy weapons, or spartan armor.
