@ToriRhian Oh. Well do it! You won't regret it! Getting a PRS as your first would probably be the best choice! Get a PRS SE custom 24 if you want a strat style or SE Singlecut if you want a LP style. But be sure to play 'um first! Be sure to buy an amp though, lol. (You don't need one, but it's advised.)

@ToriRhian well these two guitars are light..the wood used is not too dense..so its very light..and the fret size are medium or small..which means you can easily access more notes and frets without any trouble compared to the jumbo sized fret..and its far more cheaper and the sound is okay...good guitar to start with.. :)

My best guess is that it's based on minor pentatonic from the way she's moving over the neck. maybe E or D - I have a hard time making out the fret markers.. There seems to be a lot of "3 fret box shapes" being applied slid, and bent into.  Most of the licks are just too fast for my humble skills to fully appreciate. I suppose the smart way to tackle this is to ignore her playing and focus in on the guy raking the chords. get the chord, get the scale. diesect the lick.

Sustain is not harmonics. They have so much sustain due to many things like the headstock of their guitars, humbuckers wich give greater sustain than single coils and even their vibrato wich actually helps alot to their sustain. You guitar with an headstock like that such as PRSs and LPs you can get a note to sustain for ten or fifteen seconds just out of good engineering making the headstock.
