  • I have had 2 fights in school 4 vs 1 and 2 vs 1 have you herd of intersection ? Wing chun is just that ! If you punch I have loads of options step to side block then free hand hit , grab you hand, feet in front of opponent push in to shoulder(ju jit su)I will show u on utube when i post it . We as human being have the same abilities but what if one has more knowledge ?faster? Smarter?powerfuler Then one is the superior I can do a 1 inch punch on my friend(120 lb )so I am not over doin my ability

  • @domkwok88 kid, i will not argue with you on YT of all places. You're still young and living in a fantasy. Once you've got a couple more years under your belt, you'll understand how the real world works.

  • You are dissing martial arts let me tell u go to a local martial arts club and tell the Sifu to do some pressure points on u I bet u will fall to ur knees if u don't believe I show u a video of my grandad

  • @domkwok88 i'm not dissing martial arts. but take it for what it is: a good form of exercise and applicable in certain situations. It's not a magic technique that transforms you into a super hero.

In the streets, fighting back vs self defense is 2 different things. Smart thing to do is to #1 diffuse situation non-violently, #2 escape if possible #3 apply self defense then run, #4 fight for life.

Don't get urself into deep shit cause you overestimate your abilities.

  • Hey you are right about the gun but In the bible god says not to judge things that u have not tried I myself am grand son of ng Kum lau master of wu dong system and you can intersect the enemy before he stabs you trust I have seen my grandad doing tai chi hao style and he is very fast for a 80 year old man

  • But what if you know martial arts then why would you not fight back ? I do ju jit su , wing chun and chux because my granddad taught me a bit when I was in hk for summer

  • @domkwok88 because martial arts is no match for a speeding bullet...or a group of punks looking to start shit...or a sharp knife.

  • great tutorial thank you.

  • I just bought a pair of nunchaku last week and I already feel like a master. but I gotta admit u got some impressive skills, how do u fling the chucks back so fast the other way when you spin em? do u bounce them off the arm?

  • HINT: You need the chain of the chuck to be the correct length or you will never get it right, put the chuck in your hand then roll it around your hand as this guy shows you, if you dont have the other chuck in your hand, your chain or cord is too long or too short, also practise with electrical tape over chain otherwise expect big time blisters.

  • my problem is that when I'm trying to do the second spin it kinda wraps around my thumb and I fail...

  • 48 secords?? O.O; My was 22 secords.. My now that is 8 secords...

  • I'm like the moves on the 48 second part. Nice moves>

  • I tried this trick,, but coudnt performed,, later i realized tht my nunchaku has around 10 chain points,, where as it seems your nunchaku has only 7,, so is my thinking correct tht i need to have a nunchaku wiht 7 chain points only,, atleast in the begining ??

  • It is easier with a shorter chain. I originally learned how to do the rolls with a 10 chain link. It's the same principle and steps to take to perform the trick as a 7 link. However, you will have to learn where the free swinging chuck will be as it comes around and you have to quickly shift your hand to catch it. It's easier for a 7 link chain because you can hold your hand at the same position and it just comes wraps back around without having to really aim to catch it.

  • @TrueMusou yo whats up quick question, is it more effective to have nunchucks with 10 chain or 7 chain points. Like which one gives more damage. And Second question, which one is more flashy? cuz i still want to have my flashiness while still it being effective.

  • @AnImmortalEra firstly, please don't go carrying around nunchakus with the intention to use em. they aren't effective weapons, a baseball bat is more effective if you wanna compare.

To answer you questions: the shorter the chain, the faster it will spin and the easier it is to handle. longer it is, it will have more momentum and harder to handle.

  • @TrueMusou lol WOW really? That's interesting because I think they are extremely effective weapons. I don't think you've ever actually had an instructor show or tell you how it's not just a toy. One quick hit to the head and you are most likely out cold. I think what you meant to say is practical. And if you meant that, well in that case you are correct, they aren't practical and a baseball bat is way more practical than nunchucks. But that's what practice is for right?

  • @AnImmortalEra well yeah. practical is probably a more appropriate word.

but in terms of effectiveness, i still don't think they are effective. any flexible melee type weapon is at a huge disadvantage over solid weapons (only talking blunt weapons). you have way less control, the wind up to a proper strike is too complicated and limiting. a whole laundry list of cons that comes from using nunchakus as weapons. it's fun to practice as a hobby, but that's about it.

  • @TrueMusou again I say, if one practices with it, its pretty damn effective. One shot to the head with that and it's over, and the great thing is that it's extremely quick, unlike a baseball bat. Also it's harder to block. An average person trying to block it would just hurt themselves and if one practices regularly they would know how to control it more after hitting something. Im sure the farmers of Okinawa thought they were effective when they were defending theyre very lives with it.

  • @AnImmortalEra Okay, let me put it another way. In the 21st century it is most definitely ineffective. You can practice all you want, but you will not be in a position where you can draw, wind up, and strike your assailant quick enough. A nunchaku isn't easily concealable, there is no system available for quick draw, and certainly wouldn't put a guy down with only one strike.

An effective weapon stands the test of time. A knife and a club is example of effective weapon systems.

  • @TrueMusou thing is, you can conceal it in your backpack. they want to rob you, you say that it's in your backpack. grab the nunchuks and pulverize the robber. it's deadlier than a club or a knife.

  • @LiutendantJack777 I discourage any of you from thinking this way. You will get yourself into some deep shit if you do. I assure you. A mugger will not take the time to look through your back pack. They will most likely take the backpack from you.

If you find yourself being mugged, you, give in. Don't be a hero over a couple bucks. I carry a pocket knife on my persons every day and i can deploy and stab with it in a second or less. A mugger can too. Think about it. Don't be stupid kids.

  • @LiutendantJack777 regardless of your skills or the deadliness, if you're being mugged its best not to fight back. Like he said, you can get into deep shit. You're up against someone you know nothing about. Its best if they get what they want and no one gets hurt. Fighting should be used only as a last resort in a life or death scenario

  • Pretty nice throw with a nice comeback!

  • sweet, your the only dude that managed to show me

  • one advise: do it out side! garden or something... i'm telling you that from my own experience :)

  • from what i learned. Slowing down techniques like that is incredibly hard, because it requires speed timing and momentum, thus making it harder than if you were to go as fast as you could go. Props on being able to slow it down that much. as for the other comment for the chain grab, you really just need to learn the flow. (I had a similar problem in left handed staff techniques, but for those it rolls the back of the hand)

  • absolutely agree with you. Tough slowing spins down.

  • Its sometimes wise to take things slow, but when it requires velocity and force to be just right for it to work, slowing down messes with the ability to successfully do it. That aside, doing that with weapons makes it dangerous too (slowing down in martial arts often is really dangerous in any field, except 1: Capoeira starts extraordinarily slowed down because they believe in a philosophy "I you can't avoid a slow hit, why bother using a fast one.)

  • oh shit lol

  • cut out the freaking music sheesh

  • i prefer u stand rather than just sit

  • My ass is not for sale! I'm just kiddin

  • hey, ive tried this wrist roll but i keep grabbing the chain, wot am i doin wrong. Also, can u do a video on just general things to practice.

  • I had the same problem when I started practicing with my longer chained set of chucks. The best way to compensate is to simply adjust your hand to grab the chuck. So instead of relying on the chuck to land in the right spot, you'll have to adjust your hand so you catch it. Time and practice will get it right. In regard for general practice, I don't want to restrict one to specific drills, cause what I did was just practice whatever I felt wasn't as smooth as I thought I could've had it.

  • hey,i have a problem.

when i roll it once and catch it,i catch it inposition, and from that position,i have to move my arm to the right and roll it forward again, this is very annoing :( , how can i fix it? :(

  • You have to shift the position usually after the roll because you're not set up for the next roll. So you moving your arm should be natural, you just have to learn to do it smoothly where it isn't noticeable and "annoying"

  • got it and i can do it good now , my record...3 rolls :D thnkas

  • ty for the video i had some little problems with with that roll i did the roll between my fingers first

  • Hey if you can do it on your fingers you can handle the wrist part easily.

  • good video... greetings

    im from chile =)

  • The way that i figured that out was to keep reseting after the first flip and just repeating. after that its pretty much turning your wrist fast enough to catch it on the next flip.

  • You still pick up the pace to much. Try guiding the chuck with your hand so you don't actually have to spin it. I still have no idea what to do after the first flip.

  • great tutorial, this is helping me alot :)

i had alot of trouble with the technique but your demonstration showed me i was doing it all wrong ^^.

good work and keep posting more of this video's ^^

  • glad it helps
