This is all very good stuff but what if you try to use Vraylightselect from outside a room through glass. I cannot get the lightselect to work at all. Also, should it work on vrayies lights ?
@bdogrular It calculates all the contribution to the scene, including the GI. GI is layered, so the final result you see in a regular image is the result of stacking from other lights.
@TheInfiniteinfinity No you don't need PD Player. Photoshop or aftereffects for animations should do the job. In-fact any layer based or even node based composting software should do the trick if you know what your doing.
There is a bug: After reloading a preset with render elements "VrayLightSelect" all lights are gone and marked as 'deleted' (but lights in scene are still there).
This doesnt work if you are not inside the room. For instance. If you have a scene where a dome light is providing an exterior light and another light is inside a room..if the room has glass then if you try and use the above method, the glass renders black and the light contribution for that light cannot be seen. Good for the above...but it wont work with glass.
smashing :-) . a huge step in efficiency at work...You are Amazing ChaosGroup. keep Inventing

Will this thing work with reflexes also, or you have to re-render?

Does this feature work with any compositing package than PDPlayer, like After Effects for example ?
And if it does, could tell us how to use it ?
Btw, i have the same audio problem !
