  • It was never in his mouth. Simple sleight of hand when he took the card off the tongs. :)

  • @TheQSGamer It wasn't a switch.

  • on the question which cup is the ball under ? Answer is Because look at the color deferent by A C.... Ex{If i put ball in C Cup Then Cover , then they change the Ball to B CUp}

  • Are the two sweedish guys gay?

  • @SgtSecsy94 Are you fat because you are american?

  • bullshit

he had a folded up card in his mouth the entire time.

When the other guy put the tongs away in his jacket he switched it with the real card he had pocketed from the beginning.

    lame

    ass

    trick

  • @thevlaka it was a fake card switch, penn and teller would check to see if he lied before sending them to vegas and no one would do a switch that obvious right in front of penn and teller

  • @timmaaa07 very convincing >.<

  • @thevlaka watch this video, it will explain more-- youtube.com/watch?v=XP4_MuBugFo

  • breneaulf and leyunge

    Best pronunciation

  • 5:18, he grabs Teller's card off the guys back, then when he puts tongs away, he disposes of the fake. Card switched, they lied to go to Las Vegas.

  • @jacynm there are better ways to switch the card, they intentionally made a FAKE move to act like they were switching the card, betting on penn to guess wrongly and send them to vegas... ps, its Los Vegas

  • @timmaaa07 since when has the spelling of Las Vegas changed? was it sometime after I blacked out the last time I was there?

  • @timmaaa07 It was a card switch.. ps, its Las Vegas and Los Angeles. You STUPID MOTHERFUCKER!

  • @boobsnexplosions you're the stupid one because @billygerald said the exact thing 1 week ago and i addressed it 3 days ago, why don't you learn how to read and there will be one less ignorant fool shouting things before he can put thoughts in his head. ps, you are also reported for abuse

  • @timmaaa07 you are reported for abuse!

  • Comment removed

  • @boobsnexplosions somehow i am somewhat surprised of all the immature people on here that insult people for one simple mistake and then plays little games with mature people when they run out of things to say, they are the definition of failtrolls

  • @timmaaa07 you're immature!

  • @jacynm definitely... that's a shame... they deserve to be in vegas, but it was too easy to notice these things... they need to do a bit of work to make it even tighter... but in the end, i'm almost convinced they did indeed lie to go to Vegas

  • Comment removed

  • @billygerald ok, its Las, but do you really think they base the entire winnings on an unchecked answer? They would double check the method used and make sure they are not taking advantage of the show. Also it would be a smart move on the contestants part to fake a move, have penn guess something happened during that fake move, and go to vegas that way. It would be stupid to rely on a magician to give away his secret and miss out on a prize but its stupider to assume he didn't set you up

  • @billygerald it was not a card switch, it was a fake, only a fool would lie about it and be found out later when they question them to make sure they did not cheat, ps you are being reported for abuse, nice job

  • Its clear he used his jacket to switched cards that's why he used the tongs so he could go to his jacket then when he unfolded why did he use his hands and touch the card. that would mean he didn't need the tongs but to go for the jacket. So yes he switched the cards and I think the show lets them lie if they want the act for Vegas.

  • @shelby11211 he made a move that looked like a switch, all he did was unfold the card. He wanted them to think it was a switch and have them guess wrongly, he even uses the tongs as a selling point for that thought but can easily just use them to trick people into thinking it was a switch. Also, im pretty sure they will have to either preform it again or tell them how they did it to make sure it wasn't a lie if they are going to pay for a trip to vegas and a spot on their stage

  • 5:23 card change saw it!

  • @JenxyMagix you saw what they wanted you to see, in reality he unfolded it awkwardly to fool people in thinking it was a switch

  • @timmaaa07 oh thanks! I'm not the brightest spark!

  • Yea.. I thought it was really simple. He pulled the card out of his partners mouth but switched it in his hands and then unfolded the real one which he hid until he pulled out his wand or something.

The other dude had a folded card in his mouth the whole time.

  • switch at the end, fuking lies..

  • P&T are obviously just playing along because they want this act on their show. It was such an obvious (fake) switch - P&T would have known that experienced magicians wouldn't have such an obvious act. They just pretend to be fooled by the fake switch because they know it's a good act and it deserves to be selected for the Vegas show.

  • @qwertyp1234 No, that's not the case at all. If that were the case, and they were only faking being fooled because they wanted them on the Vegas, show they would have faked being fooled by a much, much better act. Like Piff, Michael Vincent, or Cubic Act.

  • @Mac1634 Fair point. But then, the switch at the end was so crude that it had to have been a fake! I just can't believe P&T would fall for it.

  • ITS IN CUP C!

  • they probably feigned a card switch at the end to misdirect penn & teller

  • GUYS! notice 5:17 where his left hand was, there was a switch.. these guys just lied.

  • @Kodkody It was a fake switch to trick Penn & Teller. He put it in his mouth at 4:00 when he was hit on the back of the head. Very nicely done as well - may have fooled them even without the extra trickery...

  • @Kodkody

They are not allowed to lie. They have to reveal the trick to the producer before the show, so that they cannot lie to Penn and Teller. and Jonathan Ross has a ear piece which the producer talks to him. If the producer knows that they are lying he will tell Jonathon..

  • cheaters everyone seen the switch

  • @FALEMAKA They can't cheat. To get on the show you have to perform the trick in front of the producer, and reveal to him how its done. Jonathan is on bluetooth with the producer during hte show.

  • 07:41.. Awkward :/

  • Comment removed

  • at 5:21 he had the real one palmed and he switched it

  • @kickassmage Did you not watch the end of the video? Penn said that and they said they didn't do that!

  • Stupid act, they cheat with a fake sleight of hand move. The show should not be about making your act look clumpsy just to get to Vegas.

  • @CyrusJV Agreed. When I saw that I was bitterly disappointed that such a good act had boiled down to such a cheap and easy slight of hand at the last moment. If I'd seen the act live I wouldn't have had the benefit of seeing Penn & Teller guessing how it was done so I would have gone away thinking they were just mediocre magicians.

  • @atomicmrpelly if they did it live without penn and teller watching they wouldn't have to do the fake move in the first place, the only reason they did it was to fool them not other people

  • @timmaaa07 Not really the point is it?

  • @atomicmrpelly yes it is, you were speaking as if they would have done that fake slight in their normal act, which they would not, doing that fake slight only gave another possible method for penn and teller to guess, for any other show for magicians/laymen they would do it cleanly and leaving no doubt that it was not switched, so you wouldn't go away thinking they were mediocre magicians would you?

  • he had to have put the card in his mouth at 4:01

  • they should've asked to touch the card to see if it was wet from being in his mouth

  • I wonder. If alternate versions of Penn and Teller were told to fool themselves, would they be able to? Food for thought.

  • Any magic trick that a layman thinks they have figured out, even if they don't have the answer right, didn't succeed.

  • so fakeing and adding possibilities for layman to suspect magic moves makes it more deceptive?

so its like loading signed card to a valet and then showing you put a card in to a valet wich card spectators fink is a selection witch is in fact indiferent and reveal that signed selection is in fact in a valet, deceptive yes, a fooling trick I dont fink so

  • Obvious fake switch to take advantage of the 1 guess limitation...

  • He put it in his mouth at 4:00 when he's hit. You can still open your mouth a bit; the tape wasn't perfect

  • @thesalamih nice catch, man.

  • @thesalamih nope. it was a decoy, the real one was in the other guys jacket near the button holes

  • @thesalamih That is what I was thinking. But, Another possibility is that the one in his mouth was there from the beginning, and that at 5:20, He palms the real one from a pocket inside his jacket, and switched that one with the one from the dudes mouth. IDK which one though. The one he unfolds looks worn. So at some point, perhaps his put it in his mouth, to mimic it being is his partners? idk

  • @thesalamih My bad. I did not watch the end where they said no card switch.

  • he switches the card when he puts the tongs away?

  • When they go into the show they have to reveal it to a separate referee to ensure the magicians aren't lying to Penn and Teller.

So you can't lie on the show.

  • @maxpainfu1 Thanks for that info. This was a very well done trick - putting it in the mouth after the slap and making it look like a switch at the very end.

  • Either they lied, and it was a switch, or he can push things up his nose and into his mouth with surprising ease.

  • they had to have lied that was an obvious switch

  • Moi means me in Italian.

  • @desertsonata no, it doesn’t :\ that’s French, in Italian “me” is still “me” but pronounciated slightly different

  • @abcdefghilihgfedcba Haha, you're right! I meant French :s

  • Why did Teller write "moi" on the card? "moi" is Finnish and means "hi / hello"... Maybe Teller got confused or something...?

  • @Suuwi Moi means me in French as well.

  • I think they've figured out how to punk the show: If there wasn't a card switch, then for normal purposes you would never hide the card after removing it from the mouth (as they do at 5:20). It significantly degrades the impressiveness of the trick.

The only reason to do that is to fake-out P&T so that they go for the wrong solution. A sophisticated double-bluff, but at the price of degrading the quality of the trick for the home audience.

  • @LegandsandLabyrinths I guess they didn't fool you huh?

  • I don't care how they did that, that was just hilarious ;D

  • i think you guys have ot be a litte stupid. i figured it out after watching it for the 2nd time. but i was a really good routine. i have been in to magic for years but i have never seen anything this smart

  • He hands the guy the card with the scissors. Then when he cuts the tape off the card gets into his mouth.

  • @HitMantis45 the card goes in his mouth far before that point, misdirection is best on the off-beat and not when the attention is focused on the area (mouth) people are looking at

  • bromance!

  • So they've finally figured out how to "game" this show: do multiple fake sleight of hand moves (moves that don't really accomplish anything but appear to) and as long as P&T are limited to 1 guess, you greatly increase your chances of winning.

Of course in Vegas, they had better do the card reveal much cleaner.

  • @hawaiidispenser All I read was, "So they've finally figured out how to fool Penn and Teller."

  • @hawaiidispenser It is meant to fool them

  • @hawaiidispenser Cause you're the expert?

  • @alexrempel12390 No, I'm not an expert. Just a guy with an opinion. Like me, you are also free to offer your opinions, without the requirement of first being an expert. This is the internet after all, not a court of law. People can decide for themselves which opinions have merit or not.

  • @hawaiidispenser I second you. it seems they dont have any sort of means to review the act off scenes also, to check if the denial was disonest.

  • @ldgiord Thanks for the support. Someone here said they have to do the trick in front of the producer beforehand. I don't know if that's true, but that makes a lot of sense to do it that way. Then they cannot lie or deny. However, it still doesn't prevent them from doing multiple fake "moves" with the purpose of luring P&T into a trap.

  • Tape may have also been cut at 4:00

  • @chewychevy1 Tape was always slit.

  • Tape was loosened when he was hit on back of the head at 4:00 to make it easier to push the card in.

  • 5:05 he pushes the card into his mouth. Switch used to distract

  • With my American ears, it sounds like the host is saying "full ass" when he says "Fool Us".

  • When Jonas takes the 3H card, he gives the other guy Teller's card. At about 3:24, you can see Peter fiddling with his hands (folding the card). At 4:01, while doubled-over, he slips the folded card into his mouth.

  • when he hits him notice how low he goes after being slapped...no one can see your face...thumbs up if you get it!

  • Penn & Teller Lie to us.

  • When he hits him in the head, that's where it happened.

  • there is NO switch. THis video is actually on brinolf and young's page, and on that video there is a link to a version where they pull it DIRECTLY from his mouth. This was merely misdirection to trick Penn and Teller as the other explanation was too obvious

  • switch was too obvious. the point of it was to throw penn and teller off

  • why does everyone have to comment on his teeth...

  • 4:00

  • all finns know that every sweedish man is a fag, and the intro reel does not help that stereotype at all.

  • @yourfilmindustry I was thinking the same thing :D

  • But dude, all he did was crouch over after he got hit in the head and then shove the card in his mouth.

  • @RandomTask3000 there's no way he got the card in his mouth right then

  • Go sweden go!

  • Look where his left hand is at 5:17-5:18. It's behind him. Picking up the card. Then it's palmed and switched. That's the second time I think they get hit with bullshit just for views. I'd bet the producers caught this and don't let them go and it's later learned by P&T that they were correct.

  • I believe he quickly snuck the card into his mouth at the point where he hits him in the back of the head and he ducks down, i'm not very sure how he managed to know which card to put in his mouth with all the duct tape around his head, though he could have made a slight crimp at one point during holding the cards before he gave it to the man with duct tape, after which he would have simply positioned the card to quickly place it in his mouth

  • @muso96 exactly, except i have a different theory... it was put on the bottom of the of the deck, and all he had was palm it and subsequently fold it... this is truly a trick that misdirects... pitty they are sweeds though

  • At 2:16 does he say "You know, in Sweden I could probably trade that autograph for a "far"? Or am I just hearing that?

  • @Theevileye00 A "farm" I think he said.

  • @Theevileye00 He says farm I think, like for a lot of money. Land. Teller's autograph is probably worth a lot.

  • @AvengerXP Yeah I hear it now, don't know why I didn't before... well thanks!

  • feints within sleights within tricks. This is how you fool professional magicians. Great work guys.

  • Of COURSE there was a switch. How did he put the signed card in his mouth after it was taped? Through the ass and up?

  • These guys remind me a little too much of The Amazing Johnathan

  • XDD Penns reaction was so late....haha he had such a smug pleasant look....and then suddenly :OOOOOOOOOOOOOO that made the whole trick much much more amusing....

  • when he hits peter in the back of the head when he "messed" up the second time, he has the signed card in his hand while bent over he puts the card into his mouth!

    thats how its done. BOOM

  • @derekx8x how did he get it through the duct tape?

  • @dtrob1993 i would assume that his wet tounge got threw the sticky duct tape and he opened his mouth behind the tape since he card is folded up it seasier to it to get threw the duct tape,(smalled opening needed), letting the card go between the duct tape which is probably overlapped in a way so its easier for the "trick" to be pulled off

  • when he hits peter in the back of the head when he "messed" up the second time, he has the signed card in his hand while bent over he puts the card into his mouth!

    thats how its done.

  • it is a card switch look at 05:18 the card all time it was on his back end he take it

  • @logicboy91 That's what's great about the trick. That they made it LOOK like a switch so that you didn't notice how it was actually done.

  • @logicboy91 No...it's not. It was made to look like one to fool them derekx8x is right. Slit in duck tape at mouth you cannot see because it is sqenched up

  • This looks like Penn and Teller's sort of trick.

  • Around 5:05 he is pushing the card into his mouth.

The fake switch is there to distract from the real trick.

  • search "Brynolf & Ljung switch or no switch" and it will all be clear

  • @BrynolfandLjung you are right!!! Thanks for the link!!!!

  • I think 5:20 was an elaborate motion to make it look like a switch, thus fooling Penn and Teller.

  • @nuance613 Exactly right. It isn't really fair to fake a switch so obviously (if you're looking for it) just to get a free trip. When I saw it I thought "did they do a switch or fake a switch because it they didn't fake it there was an opportunity for misdirection earlier in the act"... But congratulations anyway I suppose.

  • @nuance613 Yup, well played.

  • @nuance613 Agreed

  • This was great.

  • 'ladies and hentamin'

  • Hahaha Penn's expression at 1:45! And considering all the things he's happily done to Teller over the years, if he thinks this is bad...

  • 5:20 what do you mean there is no card switch

  • @JohnXT7 I was thinking that too.. but they have an independent guy backstage who knows the trick and can verify if there was or not. So there was no switch.

  • @JohnXT7 there is so a card switch

  • @JohnXT7 i thought they were going to make it look cool by bringing the card to penn & teller, while holding the card in the tweezers all the way up to them and let THEM unfold it. a bit like the double magic bullet trick of p&t. but the ending was so dissapointing.

  • @JohnXT7

There's a switch at 5:20. There's no other explanation. It's a switch. Which makes the TV show... well, guilty of being a TV show. Fake .
