I run mine with new A123 batteries 4s=413.3 volts 60A esc ezrun ..cool , and hobbywing 2230 kv-motor...less hot than vxl , and I use 19T pinion,, thanks!!!
@guitargr1 the motor isnt a v-twin. a v-twin is a e-maxx with TWO VXL systems on it. and unless you had lots and i mean LOTS of time and money you can turn a stampede into a 4wd truck with two vxl systems. so its called a VXL motor NOT a v-twin.
Twin VXL does seem to hav some great wack to it, but it still lacks top end cos of friction and added weight, and anyway most single brushless setups will be enough to flip onto the lid anyway. Still gotta love em ^_^

a v twin can be either anything v stands for vileon twin means 2 so stampede emaxx whatever if they want call v twin they can or whatever they want

i bet you might bend and break some of your drive shafts, i did with my single vxl emaxx on a 5000 3s lipo.
