We got a guy up here that uses a kanabo, so my tip with that is to try to keep it in front of you, that way you can hit from more than from the shoulder it's on, or from straight down. it's best with that weapon not to try to power down through it, but let your arm absorb it, and bounce it back up in to your grip. If you can manage it, try to continue momentum and use the recoil to hit the other side of him.
But more than that, let that heavy beast fly. it don't like being stopped.
Short reds can't afford to open an engagement against a single opponent with an attack to the legs or shield. Even if you do hit, your opponent will step forward while you are attacking and kill you with a counter attack.
Against sword&board, keep your focus on the sword arm. The shield can't do any damage to you.
Against twin sword users, side step at 30-45 degrees toward your opponent's dominant side (which they usually swing with first). This makes it hard for your opponent to use both swords
A lot of good points have already been touched on, but I'd like to add that after the first round or two, you seemed to get a bit discouraged. Don't be afraid to continue being assertive, even if you're in a rut. Take a moment to reflect on each round lost and try to throw something new into the works. Also, I agree, the Florentine fighter's arms are way too long. Maybe you should make your weapon another foot or two longer. That would help a great deal. Lots of potential here!
Ok here is what i saw. I saw alot of you going for chest shots up close and personal. You have the range try for a leg sweep then a chest stab. Other then that i like the design For your weapon i would really like to get one of thoese into my unit most of our reds are busted.
@Vandey505 Thanks, ya, looking back at it its was like I was totally blind to leg opportunities. I like to link I am normally better at taking advantage of leg shots... But after this video I have defiantly tried to keep them in mind more.
@MovieMakersCanada Thats good im just letting you know again thats like one of the best hammers ive ever seen. alot of times people try them and they never turn out right but yours looks awsome. Keep up the good work.
cib, when you fight great weapon vssword and shield focus on your leverage. If the SB charges, turn sideways to block all onside shots. If he throws an offside like a high cross then sweep the hammer up. Search Bellatrix two hand sword on google vids for examples. When fighting the florentiner, Mog?, your two advantages are the mass of your weapon and your range.Try to keep him at your range and power through his defense. Finally, hit each other harder Belegarth isn't a tap sport.
Who ever is using that axe, is terrible.

@ :22 i noticed your shots were starting to land flat, make sure you're using for thumb of your sword hand to keep the blade going where you want.

@slowdaze Thanks for the tips! The trouble with Mog's Florentine is his arm+ swords are as long if not longer than my hammer....
I know I often don't hit hard enough myself. When I fight SB I find I land a lot more shots when I make the effort to hit hard.
