  • A Romantic time in Paris.

  • très bon!!! je souhaiterais qu'il y ait le maximum de musiques TANGO car je recherche plusieurs airs dont je ne connais pas les titres (tangos argentins)

  • Cicho grajcie mi znów po polsku

  • I meant the kind of whistle used by a policeman

or in the sense of the slang expression "whistle blower"--someone who reveals a scandal that was

secret up to that point. But I love your point about the empty glass music. Maybe a fife and drum for London? And how about some place in Poland?

  • More city-instrument possibilities: The mandolin for Venice, the violin for Budapest.

Now here's a real challenge: what, besides a whistle, would suit Washington, DC? And how about something for San Francisco--maybe some type of acoustic guita, or better yet the Indian sitar?

  • I love the slide guitar or maybe zither?

  • A wonderful tango matched with beautiful pictures. God, I wish I could visit Paris. I agree the sax suggests New York; New Orleans would be the trumpet or (cheating a bit) the brass band. Anyone have a suggesting for Los Angeles (except for the police siren)?

  • Hi Smurfswaker,

I think maybe Mexican guitars or if you go along the Sunset Strip....HARD ROCK or RAP!

UGH! This is so much more romantic! You would love Paris, the Parisians do the tango along the banks of the Seine at night! I hope you get there one day. :)

  • Delightful. Toujours j'aime Paris. I like your link between cities and instruments in your answer to D. But I'd vote for the saxophone for NY,(maybe a tie with the trumpet), the balalaika for Moscow, and add the zither for Alt Wien. A "fun game," as the kids say. .

  • Nothing like the accordion to create a Parisian feeling. Nice pictures of magnificent Paris, unspoiled by time or war.

  • Ciekawe!

  • I love PARIS...so I totally love this beautiful tango and the beautiful photos especially the Brassai at :42 of the sophisticated couple and the photo at 1:50 reminds of my first day in Paris when my friend and I explored Montparnasse and enjoyed a Cafe au lait at an outdoor cafe. :)

    Merci

  • Nice. A bit surprisingly, it was reissued in the USSR in the 70's by Melodija!
