  • 240p , something our children wont believe us existed

  • ya'll sure do alot of drugs lol

  • This song is awesome but this video is super wack.

  • awesome song, awful fucking video

  • fucking shite video

  • His album "The Outsider" was a disappointment.

  • @stuntedmonk it wasnt as good as i hoped but it still has some epic songs on it shows that he is trying to refine his stye even more than it is

  • a master at work

  • DJ Shadow is a Genius

  • Beautiful tune! It hasn't lost one bit of it's power.

  • Great masterpeice by Shadow...one of many.

  • Is it just me or was this track used in the film "A series of unfortunate events" ?

  • what album is this on?

  • @KingVirmire 'The Private Press'

  • @Brambleiah THNX

  • It becomes messed up at the end... and EPIC piece of music RUINED!!!

  • DJ Shadow is such a great artist. Very good tune.

Some of his stuff reminds me of the deep and dark sounds of Massive Attack, DJ Krush, Portishead, Tricky, Unkle, AllFlaws

  • i like the video good job on the editing

  • why is always drugs or war??? need more topics? read a little and find it

  • this video helps me remember why i gave up heavy drugs. thanks shadow

  • It is about giving up ur demons !!!

  • trip-hop at its best

  • the video would have been so much cooler if it was less personal, and what i mean by that is showing less faces, making it trippy with more camera angles from the weirdest angles instead. i like most of it though.

  • The video for this song should be exestentially transcendent and not about a bunch of people binging on drugs.

  • reminds me of driving like 100 on the 101 with my baby! thank you dj shadow!!!

  • these guys are all trippers, basing of coke is not a good way to go.

  • ye its better to make biig joint ^^

  • i am a dj shadow fan but i actually like the video more than the song in this case

  • The video had my attention throughout the music was kinda incidental!

  • What can you classify DJ Shadow as? I can't figure it out

  • instrumental hiphop, also known as triphop :)

  • song = pretty cool

    video = borderline annoyingly stupid

  • song = sick

    artist = sick as hell

    video = wtf. just no.

  • shut up watching, keep listening...this shadow track is some current beethoven symphony to me *hmmstilllistening*

  • ok watched it again and the beggining is tight, but the rest blows...ill keep watching though bc this is the only version

  • ok i watched the video again...and it still blows, but i will keep watching it bc songs tight

  • oh gott

    so ein scheiß video

    wie die hure schaut

  • echt ey, wenn das der shadow sehen würde...

  • Headband guy failz

  • video or song? video is ok, song is fucking amazing and youre a cunt if you dont like it

  • lmao, yeah definitley the video, but good outlook anyway guy

  • Comment removed

  • The video seems like they're trying to use exhisting shadow imagery and themes, not so much the drugs, but. Its a great track but video shows its amateur values

  • the song is nice... but the video...

well anyway ty for the song!

  • f'in amateurs right

  • LOL

  • i don't think suck a nice music should involve drugs theme...imho of course

  • @ 2Champions:

i give you right, but you dont understand the truth!

drugs r good to us free victims of society. only bad to victims of society at all. thats our society. let us music keep play and shut up with unknowingness.

  • DJ SHADOW Rulez!

  • shit man cool vid

  • man, peeps, i got a question about this vid..

its a extremely nice tune, but..wtf..is it all about crack heads?

  • well if it is called "giving up the ghost" im assuming it is about giving up on drugs and the sort of effects they have on you...just an opinion really

  • genius DJ!

  • looks like scotland

  • nice vid

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!!

  • I'll give Shadow credit. He does one thing, but he does it pretty darn good.

  • "USED TO BE A PRETTY GIRL"

Question is, would you still hit it?

  • great song, but the video is a bit poor

  • i had a totally different vision about this tune, but like it anyway.....

  • tuneeeeeee

  • started out with some real promising shot's, but then just went downhill from there, music is amazing, good idea though!

  • I got the coke head's credit card number!!!!

    lol

  • 1:38 seconds

bitch took me out of the daze for a sec. lol

  • *4:38*

  • not everybody needs to love everything, even masterpiece...

  • ye too much over crowding these days.......

  • man if u don't like it don't say any thing

  • Yeah you're missing the rest of the album. Without knowing it you'd be lost and not feeling the magic. really. anyway I can see how you'd not like it as much without the needed perspective!

  • watch and listen :)

  • well, the way this song opens up to me is to feel the groove. once you get down to that level, the nuances and more agressive parts become more powerful. i mean, you can like what you like, but sometimes you just have to be in the right mood for everything to work in the song's favor.

  • love it! good song & good video very trippy! lol

  • Ah, I never knew Shadow did this!

    Duh.

    Kinda obvious thinking about it.

    Amazing track.

  • i second 'deejaybags'comment. mofos will be learning about him for years to come. just like DILLA

  • in 200 years, kids will be studying dj shadow when learning music along with the old masters

  • i question that because dj shadow has such a *relatively* small fan base. relatively meaning relative to mainstream music.

also it would be hard to say this because dj shadow is more of a pioneer in his field of music, i think more have to follow him in order for him to really emerge as one of the more skilled, right now he is still viewed as experimental.

  • I agree with Mssr. 'Bags (and you). I'm assuming that Shadow will have exploded onto the 'musical legends' scene at least by 2208. If nothing else, it's the muthafuckin' future. Seriously.

Still, it's a shame that refusing to be locked in to a certain genre of music warrants isolation through the "experimental" label. I guess us Shadow fans will just be known as the peeps who discuss and introduce friends to awesome music that seemingly no one else has heard of.

  • I like the fact that we're labelled as "that group" that introduces people to new and wonderful things :P

  • God.... I've been there. Never again. Absolute tune.

  • Sick. Sicker if that were for real.

    But still sick.

  • b.dobre

  • still not sure bout the vid, but love the song. Everyone needs a shadow.

  • good

  • This is a great video. It's kind of like "Requiem For A Dream" by Darian Arienomski-I think that is how you spell it? Nice job. Bravo

  • nice song ,, good to relax.. and it reminds me ...... the time,,,,,, that was all better ^^ hmmmmpf

  • She thick

  • you should take that cat on the road. he's like the junkie whisperer or something. its awesome.

  • this makes drugs scary.

  • Whoever directed this has clearly had a a few drug experiences lol,

It pretty much captured all the feelings exactely lol..brings back memories thats for sure. haha

  • Love the music; the video was pretty cool too. But the rip off "cat sequence" from the movie "GO" was a little weak, should've kept it all original...

  • Was this video shot in Cornwall perchance? Looks like it...

  • Negative. Point Reyes, Inverness, San Ramon & Hercules. All in California.

  • the best is blood in the motorway

  • that was quite something! video went pretty well with the song and i really like the cat conversation sequence.

  • well i think u r shit

  • Nice... one of my favorite Shadow things... & video was good

  • THE intro was very calming the cat talking scared me good job

  • 5 stars

  • Why not smokin heroin from a tin foil, you knobhead? =)

  • It was Crack. You don't put Heroine in tin-foil you put it in a spoon with a small amount of water, heat it with a lighter/torch or the top of a stove and then let it soak into a cotton ball after you've placed it into the spoon, take a syringe, insert it into the cotton and pull back the bottom and walah! You have a BIG PROBLEM! Trust me, I KNOW!

  • i've heard of people smokin heroin base on tinfoil

  • ya forgot to add citric acid....and by the way yes you CAN smoke it

  • Good shots!

    It's a pretty good work

<<Fran Perea el que lo lea>>

  • Very well contructed video, obviously youve done a course or degree in Filmography...The music goes well with song. The end is really trippy it goes well together

  • well done

  • Weird

  • this was on the first eposode of CSI: las vegas!!

    i tihnk :-\

  • nice video was that crack in the tin foil or herione? :S

  • whoever edited this video did an incredible job!

  • and thats what happens

  • yo this is tight..keep it comin...

  • nice song but the clip is ...

  • I love Shadow's music, but the videos are wierd as hell...
