the xbox is horribly made, i love it, but im about to send it in for the 6th time, even i have a fan less than a foot a way blowing right into the ventilation area, but nope, it's going to overheat every 30 minutes.

I put a fan on mine and that helped. but i found that depending on how u turn on ur xbox has something to do with geting around the rings. also at times just takin my fan off the back from time to time helped. ive had my xbox since late o6 early 07 and mine still works. try some of those things and maybe it ull work

open it up . its probably overheated. what i did was that buy other small fan crom frys $5 onnected to dvd drive. and i use card board to make a tunnel from the fan all the way to heat sink making sure it doesnt spread to anywhere else beside heatsink itself and it runs fine until now.. x clam didnt fix the problem.
