  • Come back 80's we miss youuuuuuuuu!!!!!!!

  • Great posting thanks - always been a fave in my record collection. A true example of how widescape 12inch mixes of the pop hits the 80's were never bettered. Think 'We close our eyes' , 'two tribes', 'Hold me now', 'Something about you', 'Slave to the rythym', 'Life's what you make it', 'Josephine La Version Francais', 'Tainted love night & day' - I could go on but you wont want me to. Great times great music.

  • great artist. went to see him at Leeds Queens Hall, supporting group strawberry switchblade if I,m not mistaken, don't tell anyone i bought one of there records, did they only have one hit. never mind was a great night. thanks Howard ho yes the drummer was out of this world , where did Howard find him?????????

  • hmm back in time i remember that this tune always had intense feeling for me ....

  • That's the Roland Jupiter 8.

  • For anyone who is interested, a collectors edition of the 12" album is now available for pre-order from the Howard Jones website. Its a bit pricey at £25, but comes with two bonus CD's of further extended version and mixes (inc Hide and Seek!). Gome mine ordered today :)

  • I had this so many years ago on 12" vinyl and something reminded me of it today so I googled it and found this. Thank you for taking me back to teenage nights listening in the dark and wondering what the future held.

  • This is the best song Howard ever did - and one of the best anyone ever did.

I wish I could be remembered for something like this.

  • Is it me, or does it have a little Miami Vice'ish sound??

I think it sounds great... ;-D

  • Sounds like it could have been on Miami Vice. I think it would fit nicely ;-D

  • When the mood is right, this is the greatest song of all time.

  • @davemacc904 I couldn't agree more with your comment. This really is one of my fave songs from Howard Jones :)

  • GR8NESS WITHIN

  • AMAZING

  • still brings tears to my eyes more than 25 years after the first time it did, have the 12" on vinyl too but for too long had no more means to play it, great to find it here!

  • Fab Song. I've long since lost my Vinyl. Any chance you could up the bside Tao te Ching. So much better than China Dance which made it onto Humans Lib CD.

    Thanks

  • This is why I loved the Roland Jupiter 8.

  • I purchased thin cassette when it first came out back in the 80's (yes I'm that old) and this version is on it. Years later I found a Best of CD with this song on it. I couldn't wait to get home to listen to this son. I was greatly disappointed to find the short version of this beautiful song. I would love to have this version on CD. Does anyone know where it can be found?

  • thank you for uplaod this number.

    verry best song 1984. grjw

  • Wow, this has to be the best song to come from that keyboard mastermind Howard Jones.

    What amazing talent he has!!

This song sends a lovely warm feeling in my soul every time I hear it,as it's so beautiful.

  • It sounds like Howard had just been listening to Hyperborea when he wrote this piece.

  • @vortons I meant the team, not the site; the 'team' that tells you when they've removed one of your videos for often crappy reasons ...

  • I miss this music so much!

  • Makes me want to cry each time I hear it. Shivers down my spine.... The works. A work of genius.

  • Really amazing, Howard Jones is a fuckin genus, that's all...

  • Opening tune at Knock na Moe disco in the 80s.....fog, lights.....atmosphere.......takes me right back!!

  • Sound of my childhood...... I love this song .

  • what a great, great song! very under rated for its time. one of the best 80's songs. 5 stars.

  • Now this is what I'm talking about: Typical 80s music! The 80s made pretty much everything that the present day couldn't, 'cause those were the days. The 80s CAN'T BE BEAT!!!

  • Excellent long version of this everlasting classic. Love it.

  • Brilliant track and a wicked extended version. Thanks for whoever put this on youtube. Great other ones in your list too!
