She's very talented. Reminds me a lot of my younger self! I must implore you to get her a vocal coach. She has a lot of control for her age and her pitch is good, but you can't go to the olympics without a trainer right? Same thing for vocals. I never had voice training, started singing very young and recently developed nodules on my cords. I had NO IDEA that I was doing anything wrong and now have to go to very pricey vocal rehab.

I see her as the next martina mcbride, she doesnt need lessons now, she is wonderful the way she is. if she really does follow her dream i can see her records being platinum. when she is older i would say lessons would help her, but just follow your dreams. your voice is a blessing from god. and the message in this song is right. :)

very out of tune, sorry, I dont like it. Your interpretation is a little off of this song, and it's a little too much of a mature song for an 11 year old to sing. 11 year olds should be singing about hanging out with their girlfriends, not about babies and men that she loves.

Yesterday, I digged your early videos and it's amazing how your voice matured (enlarged and darkened) in so short a time. You're 2-3 years beyond your age in tonal maturity. Properly moulded, your adult voice should blow it all away.
You've got one of the most thrilling instruments I've lately come across : dark, raw, large, powerful, tremendously projected. Unfortunately your technique is very deficient : you tank up the air in your upper chest so that the sub-glottic pressure is very high which gives much strain to your high regisiter. You also don't support at all your sound on the abdominal belt, which compels you to sing forte all the way and deprives your singing from any dynamics and possible chiaroscuro. Take lessons
I'd like to add that when you get more support, you'll get more legato, less chopped a line than now. Your copertura needs work too : you uncover the passagio and on up the high register and cover the low medium whereas it should be the opposite. I hope you take this honest criticism. Don't misunderstand me : I LOVE your voice and wouldn't take time commenting if I didn't find a huge potential in you. And as an ex-opera singer and now vocal coach, I know what I'm talking about ! :)

Absolutely, and as for the size and color, she's exactly "my type". The powerful dark smoky voices are the most exhilarating IMO. I just meant to make her benefit from my experience and skills to warn her so that she doesn't burn out this treasure of an instrument. Fortunately, there's time left : her voice is healthy, not yet affected by this lack of technique because she doesn't perform on a regular basis. The problems will show when she does it, but I'm sure she'll start learning before :)

This girl lives in the same area that I do. She is going to do great in life and probably have a recording contract. Jaycie has been singing for a long time. If she ever records a CD, think of the small little town she came from in South Carolina.

I see her as the next martina mcbride, she doesnt need lessons now, she is wonderful the way she is. if she really does follow her dream i can see her records being platinum. when she is older i would say lessons would help her, but just follow your dreams. your voice is a blessing from god. and the message in this song is right. :)

very out of tune, sorry, I dont like it. Your interpretation is a little off of this song, and it's a little too much of a mature song for an 11 year old to sing. 11 year olds should be singing about hanging out with their girlfriends, not about babies and men that she loves.

Yesterday, I digged your early videos and it's amazing how your voice matured (enlarged and darkened) in so short a time. You're 2-3 years beyond your age in tonal maturity. Properly moulded, your adult voice should blow it all away.

You've got one of the most thrilling instruments I've lately come across : dark, raw, large, powerful, tremendously projected. Unfortunately your technique is very deficient : you tank up the air in your upper chest so that the sub-glottic pressure is very high which gives much strain to your high regisiter. You also don't support at all your sound on the abdominal belt, which compels you to sing forte all the way and deprives your singing from any dynamics and possible chiaroscuro. Take lessons

I'd like to add that when you get more support, you'll get more legato, less chopped a line than now. Your copertura needs work too : you uncover the passagio and on up the high register and cover the low medium whereas it should be the opposite. I hope you take this honest criticism. Don't misunderstand me : I LOVE your voice and wouldn't take time commenting if I didn't find a huge potential in you. And as an ex-opera singer and now vocal coach, I know what I'm talking about ! :)

Absolutely, and as for the size and color, she's exactly "my type". The powerful dark smoky voices are the most exhilarating IMO. I just meant to make her benefit from my experience and skills to warn her so that she doesn't burn out this treasure of an instrument. Fortunately, there's time left : her voice is healthy, not yet affected by this lack of technique because she doesn't perform on a regular basis. The problems will show when she does it, but I'm sure she'll start learning before :)

jaycie, im so inspired by ur singing. im 13 and i love singing too. yesterday at my voice lesson my teacher told me im too shy about singing and i wolnt go anywhere unless i can sing happily infront of people. my new years resolution is to start preforming in front of people. i took the last few minutes to watch ur other videos and i saw u when u where only eight when i was eight i didnt even want to sing in front of my friends but now i know that i can and id like to thank u and keep on singing

This girl lives in the same area that I do. She is going to do great in life and probably have a recording contract. Jaycie has been singing for a long time. If she ever records a CD, think of the small little town she came from in South Carolina.
