  • People think I'm mental but I actually want to downsize from my Suzuki GS500 to this bike or CBR125. Is that bad??? Thing is I'm not all about the speed. I want a nice looking bike that is very cheap to run. Only reason I haven't yet is 'cos my bird won't let me. She likes big bikes and she loves me to take her to work on it a lot. What do I do???

  • cbr 125? its the dam honda cg 125, nothing like the cbr!

  • I've got. One lol same colour as well mpg 124 fucking awesome lol :) I have no problems lol 69 mph I got out of it and that is. Straight bot down hill !! But a. GREAT LITTLE BIKE!!!

  • I bought my used. It had had a few falls with the previous user but none with me so far. I love my bike but I can point out some defects: stability, smoothness, etc.... today I rode a new cbf125, and I WENT NUTS! It's an amazing bike. Mine is just a bit banged up. The back black plastic where the licence plate is screwed in isn't aligned with the back tyre, xD weird

  • he says some true points about this model the price is cheap,.,the bike is 60%build on plastic covers and feels like driving a old bike,.,.the power and aceleration is bad for people have ised Yamaha bikes similars to this is like pass to electric car to bmw,.,,.in my country cost 2000dolars

  • @0211 yes i have one and i got mine after my cbt, but you must me 17 to ride it on a cbt

  • looks gay, sounds gay

  • Commuter bike?! Bullshit! I just passed my CBT this thing is my matrix ducati!

  • what the hell is he wearing?, pumped up fake muscles in a suit?

  • so what was the price?..........

  • Can i ride a cbr125 with just a cbt?

  • @ady0211 yes

  • @ady0211 yes you can, as long as you are over 17 years old

  • Had mine since september and was a fun quirky bike to ride. done 4000 miles on it now nd commute 40 miles round trip most days. hates winds lol nd built quality is shabby. does the job but i only wanted it so i cud pass my test which i have recently done nd hope someone wants a good commuter bike. in the wet the back slips out nd felt it slipping on me but ive ridden it in snow nd rain (heavy) nd its pulled through no crashes.

  • ive got one nd for anyone thinking about getting one its very easy to ride like he says good for learners i was shocked how thin the tires were breaks are okay, not crap not great stop speed is..well its a 125..okay around towns and short journeys thats about it power..not great not awful hills - it struggles with 2 ppl and does okay with one (im 85kg) fun factor - good to start with but gets boring afterwhile would i buy it now that ive driven 3000km on it? no probs not, you need a 250 really
  • @idegnyest

he says... "i ll tell u whats the bike like"... so yeah its an opinion

  • twat, should only comment when it's factual and able to ride... blatantly reading from a script

  • when you came out of the gate did you hit the cameraman or something? :L

  • ive you want wo ride an bycicle ride this bike

  • one thing needs to be said about the cbf 125, good bike but lethal in the wet, i slipped off mine twice, rebuilt it then he came off when the front wheel slid away, he has come off twice again since then

  • @pitworker1934 its the tyres

  • I never knew Ronnie O'Sullivan did motorbike reviews ... had to be said :)

  • i don't see any point of this review you might as well name the title shit review for honda cbf 125

  • mmm i'm thinking the NSR125r beats this in most categories

  • I'm sorry but this was totally useless.

  • im sorry, i must've missed something, where's the actual review?

  • Hmmm things I would like to know;

    fuel mileage

    rpms at speed limit

    weight limits

    torque power

    price

What kind of info did you really give us? Nothing other than I like it ok- great thanks. Thanks for the hard hitting review.

  • @gotmildew Use google for such info, or read the discription of the video- "Watch the video to find out how he got on and read the full article in MCN, Wednesday, 3 December, 2008."

This video is basically an add on for the article, nothing more, nothing less.

  • What kind of stupid review was that? he said about 3 pointless things and said it was easy to ride twice...what a fucking nob head.

  • what a fucking ugly long haired prick, my grandma could do a better review and shes been dead for 10 years.

    Wanker

  • its so.... ugly......

  • the dude is quite ugly suits the bike :D

  • i don't care if its a easy bike to ride all i want to know is the stuff u need to know like mpg top speed 0-60 tell me that not that ballocks

  • I have had this bike for over 2 months now and it's brilliant, ideal for learners, of course it's a small bike and you have to rev it, but you have to remember that it's built to a budget and isn't going to compete with the likes of Yamaha's YZF R 125 and bikes like that but it's great for town use and fits my trips down long A - roads as well. So no this bike isn't shit, it's a quality little machine.

  • this bike is shit !!! my yamaha tdr 125 is much better ;)

  • is this a test for morons? this guy is out od hospital or what? catch him.

  • Download Free Honda Manuals Here, all makes and models - ** hondarepairmanual . net

  • Seems like a walmart type of bike.

  • can someone please give me an average insurance for this bike

    im 17

    and this bike looks beautiful

  • Can you do one on a yamaha ybr 125 please?

  • Fernando Meligeni? IS THAT YOU?!!!

  • I´ll get one , too :;) nice bike^^

  • whats the song?

  • Search for "CBF125 group" on facebook!

Join the group for lots of info on this awesome bike!

  • review looks like it was done by 4 year olds... shit

  • 1:13 did he crash into the camera? Lol

  • it has everything a 16 year person wants, but they cant have it untill there seventine.lol

  • Depends where you live :D In Finland, where I do live. The age is 16 to drive 125cc

  • It's like that everywhere in the EU :D

  • its an awesome bike for a very cheap price.

it has that what 16 years old young people want, because of course its a honda. i love honda^^

  • how many cost this bike? ( in euro) anwser please :)

  • 2500€ around..

  • it cost 2250 € :). i'll buy it next year^^

  • 3000-3500e

  • The old Jap built 100s and 125s were much better than these Malaysian bikes, my neighbour just bought a 1985 gs125 on Ebay for £400 and it's a peach, not a lemon!

  • in my drive school i drive this bike its nice

  • the CBF 125 is great i been 2500 miles no problems its a great bike so shut up

  • what are the stickers for?

  • Well then it isn't a 125 anymore and then comparing a tuned 125 Mito with a 180cc RS is completely retarded. And no, a Mito doesn't cost stupidly more, it's just about as much as a new RS atleast over here in Finland. And if you put a 180cc in a Mito then byebye Aprilia.

  • well in italy we can ride 50cc from 14yo(but we modify it so it's like a 80-90cc... and 125cc at 16. but anyway.the best 125cc is the Aprilia RS

  • Nope, the best 125 is the Cagiva Mito.

  • LOL...cagiva parts cost stupidly more and they always eat the dust of my aprilia..

  • A proper tuned Mito, either Evo1 or Evo2, will annihilate every other 125. The Derbi GPR will just be left behind instantly, and even the RS will have to admit defeat.

  • Well i got a 180cc on my aprilia...so tuned Mito will kinda have problems too

  • Bought one in the silver colour just last week. I traded in an old yamaha rd350r for it and some cash of course.

  • iv got a rd 350 for when im 18. it rocks. lol

  • This test is a shit.

it is not a test its a filmed opinion.

    You suck.

  • @idegnyest

that guy is right , that bike is shit , he s a pilot whit experience and you re not !!

  • @idegnyest oh you soo nasty!! someone went kaka in your spaghetti? lol

  • @idegnyest mcn opinion mate......

  • How come Europe gets all these 125 models and here in the US we can't get our hand son one for shit.

  • For the same reason small European/Japanese cars don't make it stateside - very few people would buy them.

  • Well with the gas prices today, I'm sure the sales would do good at this time. I surely would buy one.

  • I would as well. But I can't afford one. Yay Eastern Europe!

We've got Honda's CBF 125 and CBR 125; Yamaha's YBR 125, YZF 125 and YBR 250 (which I love), the Kawasaki Ninja 250; plus the eclectic offerings of Hyosung, Kymco etc.

  • I meant YZR 125*

  • Yeah the only bike we have here of those is the Ninja 250 and it sells well for noobs and people who want to save on gas. I got a Yamaha FZ6R and very happy with it, it gets 45 MPG.

  • in norway you can ride a moped (50cc) or a 125 when you are 16, and a car or a 250 when you are 18.. it's fucking crazy. and our mopeds goes legaly in 45km/h so most people tune them.. Norway

  • nice yellow is cool,,,now in indian roads

  • What´s the video song? group?

    thanks.

  • It's actually called a stunner and hiw much is it

  • I've got this bike and i'm a girl!. Next bike a Kawasaki Ninja 250R working my way up to the superbikes :-)

  • ybr alot better this i think its cheaper to and better made and its faster rolf

  • I owned a Honda CBF125 and have nothing but great things to say about them. I travelled from Leeds to John 'O Groats on mine and put 5000 miles on over the 5 months I owned it. I never had any reliably problems and had the bike serviced as and when it needed doing.

I passed my test first time on this bike and then my mate passed his test using my bike!

I had 83 our of mine down a very big hill on a motorway and will cruise at around 70mph all day overtaking Lorries guaranteed.

  • twgoldwood-if ur goin for looks y get a ybr go for an actual nice looking bike like the yzf r125.

    FYYMYY- 1. its no smaller than a ybr or a semi faired rs125. and 2. its a 125..if u want a bigger bike get a 600+

FENIX716-everyone who has a bike or knows anything knows that honda are the best (reliability) end of...its a fact!!!

Biker16madd-"power an speed" the aprilia has nearly double the rest but its a 2 stroke so it will be short lived as it will fall apart quicker.

  • Yeah you just told me something I'd summed up basically. 2 stroke sucks

  • aprilia is out of the question as it will break down due to the fact its a 2 stroke enuf said. The ybr has 10bhp, honda 11, and the yamaha 15. so if ur goin for reliability its obviously the honda, but for all people saying that for looks its the ybr or rs.....everyone knows that the yzf r125 looks far better!!!! y get a 125..easy to run, cheap an reliable....honda....if ur goin for looks get an r6 or a gixxer 600....not a 125.....that jus spells cheap....its like buying tesco value make up!!!!!

  • lmao at FyyMyy. Just when you thought Honda couldnt make an uglier motorcycle than the CBR they make the CBF. Just get a R125!

  • This is right , but CBF is cheaper than RS

  • Yeah true mate, depends what your looking for in a bike. Power and speed its the RS everytime. Comfort and cruise, its more the CBR or CBF

  • YBR THE BEST

  • This bike is so fuckin' gay!

    ..too small

    That's not a Honda CBF 125...

    ...it's a Honda WTF 125!

    That sucks.

  • ugly get the ybr

  • its an ugly ugly bike

  • lol this bike epic flop honda hav niot made any money off these bikes lol

reason is ybr just to gd^^

  • YBR FTW!

  • Had a sit on one today and even though the styling is dubious it's much less embarrassing for me as a 6'3" bloke as it feels bigger than the tiny CBR. As to what it's based on? The case look like a CG and i think it's simply a new head on a CG bottom end and the dealer confirmed this. Build doesn't look like a typical Honda, but if memory serves this was a model made for or maybe even in India which may be the issue, but at 2/3 the price of the CBR i know which i'll get. :)

  • Which is faster to 60?- CBF125 or CBR125? thanks

  • cbr

  • Yes, thats the bike i have!

  • i think cbr 125

  • What a crap road test.

Its based on the CG125 not the CBR125.

Just goes to show how stupid MCN tests are.

Its cheap to buy, over 100mpg, 15quid road tax etc etc. Its a great commuter bike.

Does what it says on the tin.

If you want a sports bike then buy a sports bike.

  • MCN sing the praises of this bike almost every week, so shush.

  • Dude, I have had 3 cg's and I think the bike is great. it is based on the CG NOT the CBR like he says.

But do you really think this is a good review?

If you do then you are easily pleased.

If you like MCN then good on you! knock yourself out on their reviews.LOL!

  • LOL1!1ONE!!!1ONE!!!!! HAHAHA.

... Dude, get your head out your ass and get over yourself, it IS based on the CBR125, fucking look at it, if YOU had any sence you'd know it's build to REPLACE the CG, but it's not BASED on the CG ffs, it looks just like the CBR125 but at a lesser cost, while they discontinued the CG THIS REPLACES IT.

so let's just clear things up

    BASED ON CBR125

    REPLACING THE CG125

Happy? Well i guess you won't be seeing as your wrong.

  • Oh it appears I upset you by saying your boyfriend Adam's video wasn't very good! LOL!

You should get your head out of HIS arse!It doesn't look like the CBR, you must still have Adams spunk in your eye's faggot boy. The basis of the bike is around the engine and chassis, not the fairing you twat! The bike is to replace the CG and was based on it, but to meet emissions.

So instead of behaiving like the inbred bastard that you are, ask HONDA. they will explain it to you. RETARD!

  • Lol, I think i struck a nerve.

  • Yeh, the nerve in your dad's arse! hahahah!

    Don't flatter yourself gayboy.

You know i'm right! so get off your mother and admit it!

Do you read MCN or just look at the pictures, because you don't seem to know about bikes.

You do amuse me, because you such a twat!

  • lol me tooXD

  • my cbr 125r is better

  • kawasaki ninja 250r is better than hyosung gt250r.better build and has better torque and top speed

  • made in india? is it good quality, or like all those chinese bikes flooding the market these days?

  • No, it's made by a japanese manufacturer, the reason adam (in the video) said it feel cheap is because this bike was build so people could afford it, but that just means sacrificing a few things other 125's have, i mean.. this bike won't fall appart by any means, it's just not built quite as good as other 125's.

  • also been told they dont make this in japan they make in korean like gt250r ive been told is that true?

  • they produce it in india

  • attention to people 6'3 or 6ft above dont get ninja get hyosung gt250r this bike is to small and light get blown about to much gt250r are ment for taller rider iam 6ft and not have a hope in hell fiting on ninja but fit perfict on gt250

  • no.

  • It's certainly a stunner, but I wish they didn't replace this with the CG.

  • im 6ft 3 or 4, is that too tall for this bike?

  • Comment removed

  • dude i m 6ft 3 too and since i just passed the tests this is propably a fair bike to learn riding . But height is my main issue .

What do the rest of you thinking ?

  • I think look into a supermoto 125 or yamaha's WR250X/R because of your hight, but it's a bit pricy, maybe a restricted SV650? or maybe if you do want a 125cc four stroke, check out yamaha's R-125, great styling, great handling, economical, and it's built for the bigger rider.

  • hey i bought a honda cbf125 and i have done 85miles and still have a full tank of fuel plus it is proberbly the best learner legal bike u could ever buy

  • im 6"3 - too tall?

thats my problem - if only 125s were bigger...

  • i've got a friend who's 6'7 and he used to ride a 125...fair enough he struggled a bit and his knees were tucked up but he managed it!

  • I bet he really thinks, its completely gutless because of all the bikes he rides but looking at it from a learner point of view, it's probably a good buy, not to mention fuel econemy. Certainly a way to help beat the recession by saving money.

  • its cheap to buy, and run, very cheap and still jsut as fun as other 125 bikes :)

  • how long does it take to dry medium to long wet hair

  • Bikes worth £1,795, but i heard honda are going to raise the price as its selling so well, this bike can do 275 miles for a tenner

  • 1. whats a tenner? (sorry if thats a dumb question)

    2. why do they not sell small CC bike's in the U.S.

  • 2. because americans only like bikes which go in a straight line and do less than 10mpg

  • no thats not true there are a lot more Sport bikes on the road here then Harley's, and Curses. the only people who ride Harley are old, but I really want to know why, there are lots of 125CC dirt bikes, but no street bikes

  • A tenner is ten pounds.

  • hey thanks man! I've just been getting a lot jack ass comment's about how "I'm a stupid American" and that I'm a inbred redneck. witch is so not true, I live on the West Coast in Portland, Oregon (above California) witch has got to be one of the least redneck states around, there all in the deep south.

  • this bike is amazing i have 1 it cost me £1800 and has a top speed of 75 mph so fairly fast for what it is and it is so easy to ride

  • how much does 1 of them cost anywasz cause i need 1

  • What's the topspeed of this beautiful machine?

  • Honda CBF is touring naked, no supersport!!! High speed is DEATH!!!!

  • Nice bike imho. Cheap but it does the job.

  • i would love a little bike like that, but im 6"3 and im thinking that ill have to splash out for a bigger kawi ninja 250r.

  • ninja 250 are nice bikes pal, and probably best suited for your height, :) good speed aswell believe its lik 110 - 120 tops, im 5, 11 but have a cbr125r

  • CBF is naked, no supersport ...

  • Lol speakerrrrrrrr is a dipshit

  • What's the fucking point in paying 5.000+ for a bike you ride for about a year?

  • who ever says that it sounds like a bag of shit well yea DOH its a 125 they never sound loud and beasty like the bigger bikes!!!and dont say well the aprilla rs 125 sounds loud coz it dont that sounds like a hair dryer if you want meaty sounds get a bigger bike!! wait until your old enough to ride one coz there great fun, i only have a 125 for commuting and it does the job

  • their reviews are always 'so so'. why can't they be more objective?

  • it is known as stunner in india and cost 1000$

  • its cheap gtfover yourself

  • it sounds like ass

  • It sounds like my lawn mower.

  • Looks like a crap bike.

  • how are your shoes?.. they go any faster ? shithead

  • Shoes are preferred to riding on this oversize blender.

  • Yeah because ppl who have just passed their test buy a 125cc dont they you twat lol

  • Depends what test you "twat", THere is such a thing as a restricted test that lets you only ride 125s. An there are plenty of people that do their test just so they can commute in to town so only need a 125.

  • look all 125 sound shit!

and this bike is only £1795!

so you can put a can on it

well thats what im gunna do :P

  • Guys, as Adam said these bikes aren't meant for anything but commute. If you want the sound, you're going to have to pay for it. No exhaust on a 60 yr 4-stroke technology sound like a 2-stroke engine!

Grow up...this bike is geared towards the lower end.

  • I wish they would consider making a new CBR250RR, that would take the market by storm!

  • to be honest i dont really like the look of this bike. I prefer Yamaha's YZF R125

  • I don't like it!

  • honda need this now, the cbr is outdated and not the best in class anymore

  • for an 4t engine sounds like a tractor !!

cbr , r125 sound much better

  • Oh come on, all of this three have shit sound!

  • And no one is buying them because of their sound. Most couldn't care less.

  • i dont think so

  • Sounds like a CBR125, YZR-125 and the old CG, there or there abouts.

  • This t
