In-game you wouldn't have the knowledge, but what if you saved before capturing Ghen, learned the sound-combination, then reset so that he wasn't captured, then saved Kathryn, THEN signaled Atrus?
@floppybelly I tried that back in 1997. Doesn't work. While the gold dome and portal combinations are generated from the beginning of the game, making you able to go back to a previous save to use them, the sound combination isn't generated until after you've captured Ghen.
