@xXTROPHIESXx I know this is old but may I ask you one question? What in the world is a booter? Maybe you should learn about computers before posting.
De-activate computer from electricity, then turn it on. It should work. Or run computer and restart, when Windows XP will display Windows logo. Then select Last Good Configuration and press ENTER. I got the same problem
get thw Windows XP installation CD-ROM, put it in your drive, Restart (DON'T BOOT FROM CD!!!) Press F8 to get to a boot menu, Choose Last known good configuration, This should fix your problem.
This is what's happening to my Compaq Presario, I only had it for about 5 days and now it's restarting its self after the XP Loading screen. What happened was my computer was running so extremely slow and then eventually froze, so I held the power button in. I left it alone for a little bit and then tried it again. Then it wouldn't startup after the XP loading screen.
@meto402 Actually it's not really the harddrive it just windows. Probably a bad virus that messed up an important system file. Just reinstall windows and it should work.
OMG this happened to me when i switched off my computer by the power. i kept on switching it off and on by the power. i ended up leaving it for about an hour or so and it kicked up into life.
this is exactly what happened to me but mines is a emachines w340ua laptop can any body help one of us and mine just keeps retsarting and by the way my battery died but i can still charge it

wait the process and then type
