@peacealtplusf4 This video is bull. Go to a professional bra fitter, they'll tell you - cup size is your band size plus a letter for each inch wider your breasts are. So say your band size is 32 inches, and the fullest part of your breasts measures 34 inches. That's 2 inches wider, hence 2 cup sizes, so you're a B cup.

yeah, this isn't a surefire way to measure your bra size, it IS a good STARTING POINT, but that's about it. I've learned that really it's about trying the bras on. According to this measurement system, I should wear a 32B but, a B cup is WAY too small for me. i spill out of that left and right, because my bra size (and yes I've been fitted by a professional, more than one, more than once.) is a 32D and it fits PERFECTLY. so really, I've came to learn that measurements are JUST a starting point.

Most people would probably look at me and guess I wear a DD cup because most people have unrealistic ideas of what bra sizes are supposed to look like. Just because my bust measures 11 inches more, that doesn't mean it sticks out 11 inches in front of me!

p.s. UK sizes are actually bigger than USA ones(USA 30K is a UK 30H).

You are not supposed to add inches to the ribcage measurement! US stores are just trying to get you to fit into sizes that they carry. Notice you never hardly see 28, 29 or 30 bands? Check out the Brastop.com video that is in the suggested videos to the right. The UK has got it going on when it comes to bras. The girl in the video would be much better fitted into a 28FF. I know that sounds way off, but it's not. Check out the Brastop fitting vids on their channel for proof.
