scott and seth are the true meaning of artists, all of their work is so inspirational. their gentlemen of north carolina and represent my home state with pride, let their music play forever.
i live in the same town as these two and have seen them a few times. As you would expect, they act like normal human beings and are completely humble. This is a perfect video. It describes their lives so well. I am a forever fan.
@mkaymack same here. You would never expect they were famous or anything when you see them in public. So down to earth. No flashy cars or clothes or anything. Just good guys that don't try to act like they are better than everyone else. So friendly and willing to take pictures and sign stuff. They never mind stopping for a sec to say hey.
@joesteed7 Fair enough, I'll accept that argument. I just think there's a better way of getting that "vintage" sound than taking a shitty recording of something, but if it does it for you then that's good. Maybe I should buck the trend and write nice youtube comments.
This looks like it was filmed in the old west mid to late 1800s. Like they are Frank and Jesse James or something. But even better, they are Scott and Seth Avett. But if they ever wanted to start an old timey gang, I'll be in it!
I hate when you're reading someone's comment, and it's going along fine, and you're agreeing with them, and then at the end you realize it was all just to plug some goddam song they recorded and posted on their channel. If you agree, check out the folk songs me and my sister recorded and posted on our channel!
i adore thier music keeps me listening ..But this song has me most caught up.. it rolls around me me catches me up carries me windward drops me and picks me up over and over AND i love it..Lilliblu..no matter how much it hurts
Every time I listen to the Avett brothers, I'm just in awe. There aren't words to describe how their music makes me feel. What a way to make this shit-tastic week more enjoyable.
In 1980 when I first heard John Prine, I went out and got all his albums. In about 2005 when I realized Van Morrison was much greater than what was played on the radio, I went out and got all his CD's. In Oct 2010, when I heard Avett Bros through the Felice Bros, I went out and bought all their CD's (Avett and Felice), and i have seen the Avetts twice and will be seeing them in May. They got me off my ass to go out and see music again. Love them! Thanks so much for posting
@smondello Dude that would be so sweet if 19th Century clothes came back lol. Better than the pants on the ground, wear as little as possible, grillz and chains, trucker hats, etc. I love retro clothes. This and 60's clothes. They surely had style.
Love this video. Thank you for this. Can't wait to see them on FRIDAY at the Ann Arbor Folk Festival. :) Oh and I agree with you iloveartimus - if only every man had this style! Loves!
Beautiful performance, interesting production. Sounds like they gave it an old AM radio feel by processing the sound... that tin-y sound and the voices sometimes peak when singing loud. Is that the case, or am I just hearing things?
people say our generations music is terrible. but its men like this who are the real musicians of this generation. timeless music.
dqrooney 1 week ago 2
@dqrooney truth! people just have to find the right musicians. and as of now, unfortunately, most of the mainstream isn't that.

@andysj531 I know, it's so funny. The different styles make them look older or really young. i think they look like cowboys in about1880 in this vid.
