@KnockOut22 oh man, today definitely. I love swing, and that is what he advocates today. pure jazz. His he and she album is simply incredible. He did standards at first, but now he is pushing the envelope and developing jazz in directions that are simply incredible.
When Wynton left and started his own band with his brother, I always thought that Wynton sounded like Miles, Branford sounded like Wayne Shotrer, Jeff Watts sounded like Tony Williams, and kenny Kirkland sounded like Herbie hancock. The real shocker for me was that they were in thier early 20's. They're just great musicians. Period.
