Hey man!
I used to like your work on TV here in Japan. I am really upset that as a popular TV artist in Japan you had to take advantage of your position either to impose your ideas or to get involved with politics. By the way, by calling Dr. Chris Busby a fear-mongering scam artist when he set a charity to protect the kids affected by radiation (in japanese by the way!)... you just made me so sick when I watch you on TV that I have to change channel.
@0ooOo0oOo0oOoo0 I'm very sorry you feel that way. But I do not believe Mr. Busby is a fraud from a "political" point of view, rather a humanitarian one. His irresponsible comments on foreign TV in the early stages of the crisis have lead to some severe paranoia and other emotional problems among the evacuees in Fukushima. I've been there. I've heard their stories. Mr. Busby was not helpful then. I doubt his supplements will be helpful now.
@TheDanielKahl OK Daniel! I also feel sorry for making you feel sorry by expressing my feelings and opinion so openly. I guess we have all been very stressed lately in Japan, specially since the government has become God. Now they say that we have to pay for breathing and damaging the ozone layer, then what are we going to do about the already weakened helliosphere in charge of protecting the solar system? ...

@0ooOo0oOo0oOoo0 ... are we going to be charged tax for having used the helliosphere too, so they can afford leaving the solar system? You are kind of comedian aren't you? ^^ If we watch Mr.Daniel 's video now, we feel he supported the lie of Japanese authority called Genpatu-mura. The radiation situation in East Japan is getting worth now.
@junebloke I wish you would include your source of info when you make a claim like that. I would like to investigate it. The data I have says that the situation is stable. I-131 has not been detected for months. THAT is the big worry when it comes to thyroid problems. C-134 and C-137 are being detected everywhere, but outside of the area around FNNP1, the level should have no effect on human health according to the reports I have read. To WHOM are you listening to?
Daniel Kahl's messages show how concerned he is about the victims of the Earthquake. He is really dedicated to saving their lives by emphasizing it really significant to listen to the truth hidden behind fake news reports in Japan and overseas. As a Japanese I appreciate his courage and proud of what he has done for those who suffer.
Are you high old man ? The phuking radiation is here in the northwest at a much higher level so I know Japan is off the charts ! Figure out how to save the children ! Radiation free greenhouses - water ionizers - heppa filters - natural iodine (stinging nettles)- molasses & baking soda - rosemary - get on it save Japan now !!!
@smartazuis I am so sorry that you have been mislead by all the wrong-headed propaganda out there. I hope someday that you will learn how to read and get informed.
this is the funny thing about people's reactions to news. day after day they prove they are scared of things they don't understand. Because they don't understand the original subject matter, they also don't understand the context to determine the risk factors. Sun can kill you. Meat can kill you. Many brands of bottled water (the radioactive tap water alternative) are actually just tap water themselves. Did you know there is probably fecal matter on your tooth brush. feel free to freak out :)
I'm sorry but he is talking BULLSHIT THAT WILL KILL PEOPLE. GOOGLE DR. LEUREN MORET which is a NUCLEAR EXPERT as well as ARNIE GUNDERSEN from FAIRWINDS. PLEASE GET OUT OF JAPAN NOW!!!!!!! I would love it if you can bebunk these experts...............I PRAY FOR THE PEOPLE OF JAPAN and the RADIATION THAT WILL ENCIRCLE THE WORLD BY NEXT YEAR. GOD HELP US ALL........AMEN
1 kilo (=1 liter) of liquid tea is 5 grams of tea leaves. I think u can safely drink lots of it. 1kg of veggies is ...1 kg of veggies. I think that u should avoid those from affected regions.
I am not saying it will kill you. I say its not healthy. People have been living in Chernobyl for decades without having a cancer.
I believed international media news was false and Japanese one was true. But, now I realized some of international one was true and some of Japanese one was false.
I know you love Japan and if so, you must point out the lies and mistakes that Japanese government and media made.
Your great but one sided. I'm Japanese and work hard for Japan recovery in my way, like you. I have small children and am vigilant for them. It's not because of calm-mongering or fear-mongering media. It's because radiation is dangerous. It takes years to realize the health affects. I feel very sorry for the farmers but my children come first, sorry. If they find ANY radiation in ANYTHING, as a father, I want to be informed. Let the news come from int'l or domestic media - disclosure is a must.
Correspondence afterwards is a man-made disaster in complete though this earthquake is a natural disaster. Japanese Government today is delaying the earthquake correspondence. The announcer was severely criticizing the Prime Minister in Japan by the program broadcast in Kansai on May 11.
Haha, you have just discovered how US media treats Japan? Well I have news for you. They treat every foreign country the same way. When have you ever seen a news report that shows how well people live somewhere other than US? No, it's all 'we are the greatest country in the world and everyone else sucks'.
I agree that people need to stop freaking out. But one thing which is kind of fooling people in Japan is that the govt. keep raising the limit of rad. substances allowed in food and for people in general (especially worrisome for the kids). So the veggies might pass the test now, but maybe they wouldn't have passed it a few months ago.
Unfortunately, a lot of corporations/organisations that dish out news are privately owned. They get paid x amount of money based on their ratings by advertising companies, so it's natural for them to try to maximise their ratings by putting out attention grabbing material - scary stuff works well. They aren't really at fault from a business perspective; the viewers who are stupid enough to believe everything that they are told are. Such is life. I understand what you're saying, though! :)
Hey Daniel. Thanks about the leaves info I didn't know about those, anyways. Only the facts we know right now (from JP TV) are that Nr. 1 is in MELTOWN state, and reactors 1 2 3 are leaking. @TheDanielKahl Thanks man, but not so religious. I prefer Ramen Ramen brother ;) Please take care and lets help as so many people as we can. I am doing some charity events too. Maybe we will meet one day.
I'm sorry. Some hysteria is in order now. There's a lot more radiation released than they informed us about. The meltdown situation was not a surprise. A ToDai prof even says chain rxns continued after the shutdown. Tepco and/or the JGov were lying. It's not just the Cesium radioisotope contamination of tea in wester Kanagawa. There are credible reports of milk in parts of the US now that have contamination over the legal limits. So, time to stop defending the establishment. They failed us.
@TheDanielKahl I encourage you to please take a look at the EPA's own lab data (google EPA radnet). umijin is right, to some degree. This disaster is far from over and has the potential to get catastrophically worse at any moment. Radiation has been pouring out of Fukushima every second since March 11.
Tell me about it! There was something in the tea leaves here in Shizuoka... one of my tweet friends works in the tea industry... it's a BIG problem....!!!
@LaJYankee Yes. I tweeted about that yesterday. Some radiation was detected in tea leaves in Omaezaki, Shizuoka. But reading the articles to the end, they say, towards the bottom, that the levels were only 1/115 of the legal limit.
I know what the scaremongers will say about that. But, personally, I'm not too worried. I will continue to drink gallons of Shizuoka tea every day.
Granted, it depends specifically on where it is, but there is no reason to limit a visit to 2 hours in most places. The boundary for the evac zone is by set based on the requirement that no one would get more than 2 REM over the YEAR.
In fact, there is a video on yourtube of someone driving through Futaba, the absolute worst you can get where people actually live. And that was before most of it decayed away
