I'm sad he left Werder but I wish him good luck in England. And I really give him credit for not going to Bayern Munich when they wanted him a few years ago.

I heard he's naturally really smart too so no doubt his English will only improve. I really do hope he becomes a cult hero. He's a really nice guy, was a great defender for Germany and Werder and actually bring our squad together. That's the best part about being a Gunner... knowing we have the talent. Knowing we have the right material to win but needing the glue to bring us back together.
