@Flokib This was when Max & Dave Flesicher did the "Color Classics" series with some 3D elements thrown in. I guess this rare German cartoon from 1943 destine to become a lost holiday classic to get into the Christmas spirit.
Never saw this cartoon before, but this one turns to be a forgotten holiday classic. This was before Gene Autry sang "Frosty the Snowman" and it became a song about 7 years later in 1950. I hope "watchwaddle" will review this German cartoon in the future "VCR" episode during the holidays.
Hans Fischerkoesen naprawdę robi wrażenie. Talent to niezaprzeczalnie ponadczasowy walor ludzkiej natury. Do dziś kreskówka o bałwanie jest aktualna i animacyjnie i plastycznie przebija niejedne dzieła uznane w dzisiejszych czasach. Afirmacja życia bałwanka budzi podziw szczególnie zważywszy na okres powstania filmu jakim był czas wojny. Świetny film
Einfach herrlich der Film, überhaupt in der vollen Länge und nicht wie bei dem DDR mitschnitt, wo das wichtigste fehlt. ich hatte auch schon häufiger danach gesucht, weil ich ihn von früher her kannte, ich hatte meinem Vater von dem Film erzählt der kannte ihn auch aus seiner Jugend (geb.1923).
This Film is from 1943, right?
