  • Play the game for the music rather then the graphics! It's Blairstown, New Jersey! I'm sure the town leaders did not approve of the C64 make of the town. Stay away from Northwest New Jersey! Too much happened there!

  • this game looks worse than the nes one

  • Why is there wedding music playing in the middle of a homicide?

    ):T

  • why in the fuck are you hitting the little kids with an axe? why??? why did they make such a disturbing game ? did chris benoit play this or something? also where is jason?

  • Comment removed

  • @MuscleManDaniel You have the ax the kids where Jason is!!! D:

  • @Th3ba1r0n ohhhhhh ...that..was just a fucking dry sarcastic humor.....what a bad joke...common not funny and I don;t think tis cool. people wer eon lsd in the 70s I can;t belive they made someting like this. or 80s whatever

  • Yeah! video games existed before NES! C64 tried to imitate Mario Bros! When our grandkids laugh at us, don't take it serious! They shall invent awesome new stuff!

  • I really shouldn't watch this before going to bed

  • Spycheck: The Game

  • @jrh388 Innocent until proven Jason! xD

  • C64 was known for its great music for it's time. It played only 3 notes at a time but used it's limits wisely. The music was better then the graphics of the games.

  • Comment removed

  • lol the music

  • Is there an ending to this game?

  • @jci10 I was thinking the same thing

  • Looks better than the NES version

  • some asshole sent me a link to this video @ 9:05 at 2am and i nearly died

  • @motdef

Even after 25 years it still works. ;)

  • Daamn. Those are some big houses o_O

  • That wedding music is more terrifying than the scream sound effects.

Actually no, that scream sounds like your Commodore 64 has finally found a voice for the PAIN and AGONY it has felt all these years...

  • Please do not watch that "Breastfeeding at 8" or it will always stay within this C64 batch...

  • wedding music? D:

  • "Convalescing from a nervous breakdown Mandy is a computer programmer by trade..." and is always ready to split some heads with her axe in the local church!

  • I wasn't expecting the disembodied head..... I have the NES version! Far less scarier!

  • I remember playing this in the basement at 12 years old and the first time the C64 screamed at me, I shit

  • Why the hell do they keep spamming that orchestral piece? It's got nothing to do with the game

  • I remember the more hits, the more the hockey mask fills in and you become jason, so to speak. also, i think it was the axe, you can bring people back to life

  • suckiest thing that can possibly happen...Jason kills everyone, and then he hunts you down.

  • The game was fairly simple, but creating an atmosphere of tension very well. Especially for the scream, hahaha ... the first time I heard it took me by surprise.

  • Those scary moments fucking traumatized me as a kid :(

  • What is "Breastfeeding at 8" doing in related videos?

  • @pblomgren I know right?

  • @pblomgren

yea really though since the tags on that video dont have anything to do with this video, although after watching breastfeeding at 8 i kinda am curious as to why pressing the back button on my browser will continue to not go back past that video.... HAX i say HAX!

  • haha, I also noticed that.

  • wtf its playing dracula not friday the 13th theme

  • This game was incredible scarying me when I was 12.... I can't still play this game without freaking me out... it's amazing how so simple graphics can move your mind out of your brain

  • Comment removed

  • i almost took a shit in my pants when i saw the picture at 9:05

  • @123chrisrules one of the most chilling thing i ever saw as a kid...well besides The Exorcist.

  • why is breastfeeding one of the related videos? 0_0

  • ummm, do the bios have a affect on gameplay?

  • Jason Does NOT look like that.

  • 9:04 rip

  • Scariest game ever

  • I can't hear Whiter Shade of Pale anymore without thinking of this song.

  • Is there any way to beat it?

  • lol, at 3:20 the blue haired girl must be deciding wether or not to go through the door

  • why.....is the wedding march playing. whats with all the stock music?

  • can you kill any of the normal people who arent jason and what happens? I played only a bit of this game when I was younger but i dont remember

  • @XXGAMEXXGIRL

Nothing specially. You can kill the people but if all people killed your lost this game.

  • warning: dont have your speakers up loudly or the screamings scary, the music choice in the game sounds really good

  • I lol'ed at the hit detection with the pitchfork xD

  • This game gave me nightmares until my teenage years. I remember when my Aunty and Uncle first got it and I hid under my coat while they played. They then lent it to us and I gave it a go and was doing well and bragging how good I was when one of the shocks scenes came up and sent me running from the room.

There is a hacked rom called Sunday the 15th out which is a tweaked version of the game. The AI is much more vicious in that one. Couldn't get past the third level.

  • ages ago, but i remember , the ax was always the best weapon

  • I played this game so much back in the day! Loved the freaky sound effects, and all the public doman music. It was funny how you could bring people back to life sometimes by chopping at them, if it was soon enough after they died.

  • i love how you can ax someone and they barely even notice

  • what's with the wedding music?

  • @BennieAA they used music that was not copyrighted lol...teddybears picnic

  • I don''t get it why doen't Jason wear his mask, and why does he wear a leather jacket and look likke Henry Winkler as "The Fonz"?

  • cheers for the upload.many moons have passed since i played this back in the day.great music in this game

  • great game

  • 5:37

    SCREAMER! D:

  • im confused?!

  • I like how you have to HACK into someone to determine if it's Jason or not. I forgot about that part of the game...

  • i used to go around being worse than jason murdering everyone.

  • nice trip down memory lane.. I used to play this when I was 12 (1988), freakiest part for me was the skull screen.. one time it started to load the skulls and then the computer froze.. I don't think I touched the computer the rest of the day lol! I also thought it was funny how you had to go around hacking at people to see if they were Jason.. oh the memories... :)

  • if you hit a dead body constantly you revive it. i did that all the time. LOL

  • remember when u hitted some keys it gave SCARY SCREEN !!! and digitized sounds!!! IT WAS AWESOME back then

  • Comment removed

  • I thought the music they chose for this game was interesting, and I mean that in a good way. (Much like "Mr. Sandman" for Halloween 2)

  • What's the Scare-o-meter and how does it work?

  • little known fact. if you drop a weapon on top of a corpse and keep picking it up and dropping it eventually you can use the corpse as a weapon. its funny to be able to throw or swing them at others. O.O

  • Wow I was reading comments and people saying how bad the scream sound here was and I was like *Oh c'mon how bad can it be?* until 0:53 O_O This would have scared me SHITLESS has a kid D: Plus it looks like a friday the 13 meets zelda game :/

  • Also, I don't know what the hell is up with Jason. Black shirt and pants and no frigging hockey mask. Lame

  • I thought I was the only one who knew the cheap way of winning. One of the campers always doubles as Jason. The programmers tried to hide Jason by doubling him as one of the sprites. If you go around hitting all the campers a couple of times, one will momentarily turn into Jason (guy in black), and at that point just hack away until he/she's dead. I don't know why the hell they didn't think anyone would figure that out. BTW the scratchy scream made me almost shit myself when I first heard it

  • @ioport - Wasn't that the way you were SUPPOSED to play? ;-) Checking for dead people walking around was way too boring :-P

I recall the first time Jason turned on me when I struck him. I tried to run away for many screens, then switched off the computer, haha! After that, the game was a lot scarier ;-) (Obviously, I was just a kid then.)

  • As much as I love Bach's "Tocatta and Fugue In D Minor," very inappropriate for a Friday game...

  • Nor do I like the wedding music too much. Dunno what's called in real, but you get the idea :)

  • the wedding march?

  • nah, from memory i think the title was way different sry

  • The music is driving me INSANE.

  • Wow this music doesn't really fit a horror game! Pretty cool.

  • From what I remember you could bring back the dead people by standing at their feet and hitting them with your weapon...they would rise up and if you touched them they would come back to life.

  • Can anyone confirm a trick in that game?? i remember that some times if u fast switched weapons u could obtain the child, 1 of the game's charachters, as a mortal weapon!!!

awesome game anyway, i still feel shivers i felt when i was 5 yrs old :D

  • The sounds were the best thing in this game. Why is it that none of the characters look like Jason? Who do you kill? And no ending!

  • Wow, I did NOT see 5:39 coming. What causes that? Is it some sort of game-tricking-you thing like Eternal Darkness?

  • randomly if someone dies on their own when you walk into the same screen as their corpse it flashes a gruesome picture aswell as that scream,

  • stuff like that poped out of nowhere, mainly when jason killed one of the other guys.

    It was not frequent thou...

  • One of the best games ever made. Immense, free-roaming with a lots of good characters with more deep than seen on first sight. I also totally love the excellent story in the game. Screams and murder, what more can one ask of a game.

  • what the hell did I watched? That doesn't sound like fraday the 13, this sounds more like ghost stories or something...

  • Feels Like A Dracula sort of wedding type of game........Yeah?

  • Parade of the public domain music.

  • you have got to be kidding. wedding bells music???

  • wachet auf ruft uns die stimme - ironic though :)

    toccata et fugue d-minor

    ...

    BACH rules

  • @sigistein - Thanks for posting the title of the first work of Bach! I knew the second, but the first one eluded me. Indeed, Bach rules. Said the hardrocker :-)

  • I still can't figure out the object of this game.

  • Find and kill Jason before he kills everyone including you. The more people you "save" the more points you get.

  • 5:37

    WTF?

  • 9:05!?!?

I remember that i nearly pissed myself when seeing that back in the days!

  • well it is considered the scariest game of all time

  • so did i. I couldn't play this game for some years after the first time that appeared, lol it was like 3AM in the morning and i was in the middle of countryside.

  • This was my first(?) game on c64. I was really scared when i play this game. I only heard about the movie, before i start to play. i think colour of cassette was blood-red ;)

  • hell ya. it was awesome

  • i played that when i was 4 years old..i was pretty scared about the pictures there :D pretty cool game!

  • That didn't look like Jason, They should've called it "Where's Jason?"

  • XD!! "Where's Waldo?" spoof? Hahah!

  • maybe they thought about that title?

  • Remember it so well...complete waste of time though :)

  • So there is no ending, it basically loops?? Gotta love games made in the 80's

  • OW, dear GOD. How could that be perceived as screaming? I mean, I understand how old this game is, and how it is meant to scare you, but JEEZ that hurt my ears...

  • I dunno... it scared the living shit out of me when I was 6...

  • Lol, I bet it did!

It scares me now, and I'm 14!

  • I made a parody of this and gave you full credit for the gameplay. i responded it to this video.

  • One thing I did not like was that Jason was disguised as a regular person, which is so far removed from the movies it's not even funny, that and the fact that Jason looks closer to The Fonze than he does to Jason Voorhees.

  • Me to. :D

Not really a good game but the schockscenes works. even 20 years later.

  • agree. btw. keep the longplays up dude! it's too bad that this game is a repeater though...

i like the nes version better because, you see, they didn't put screamers at the place where one of your friends was dead. too bad they didn't thought of the blood on the nes version XD

  • @DerSchmu It's still better than the NES game of the same name

  • 9:05 scared the fuck outta me!!

  • :(

Did anybody else practically pee themselves whenever that horrible screaming came on?

  • @innocentaerith

dude this shit scared me when i was little couldnt play with the lights off

  • @innocentaerith

Not me but the scream is so loud it blew my eardrums

  • @innocentaerith

I still remember how scary was that badly digitalized horrible scream. When I was a kid I didn't even want to watch the cover of the game!

  • This is one I never owned, but played at my friends house many times. This video brought back some fond memories.
