A few of which are the use of triggers and over use/ abuse of blasts. Another big reason is the asshole you tend to see at guitar center breaking heads and cracking cymbals. Not to mention, all the poor bastards who have to tighten their heads all the way (especially the bass drums) because they depend on nothing but recoil.

@effrainm This is easily one of the hardest black dahlia murder songs he has to play on drums because of the syncopations in the kicks and what the hands are doing. Especially when hes blasting over the main riff and doing the foot pattern... fucking INCREDIBLY hard. Also its really really difficult to maintain a good feel with triplet double bass at this tempo. The mid paced stuff can actually be quite harder because there is more room to fuck up. Shannon would tell you that himself.
