  • Thanks for posting this....

  • I can do it easily now. Your method is very simple and easy to understand without any lengthy logarithms. Thnx a lot man.

  • I can manage bottom 2 layers and upper cross with the edges but then I follow your Top rotation right left up and down algorithm sometimes it works but most of the time it doesn't. Can you help?

  • @Raiyan32 sure I can help....I'm not exactly sure which step # you are talking about..u can private msg me if you want for more specific help....

  • tnx dude

  • Omg u r the only person who helped

  • I can do a rubiks cube easily now! (with my notes from your video):) yay!

  • I already worked out how to do 1/3 of the cube but I would never have worked out the rest without watching your videos. I tried watching a rubiks cube vid before but he went way too fast and I didn't understand. Your videos are great!

  • I've nailed it twice. Thank you so much.

  • I'm great until step 7. Thank's for this.

  • Everything was going great until the very end. It messes up my whole cube

  • i really need help with step 6 i dont understand it

  • ur the best

  • shouldn't the last step be called Ri D R Di.

Cause he says Di but he turns it clockwise?

  • this was amazing! i spent a whold 2 days trying to do it. then came to this video and did it straight away!:)

  • @RyaaanMurraay hey can you help me with step 7?

  • @snoopy5691- well as long as you have the squares on the yellow layer matched. then do the last algorithm and it should be fine?

  • PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME I CANT UNDERSTAND THE 7TH STEP

  • Whats very weird is too, in the final step, my cub looked exactly like yours....

  • after failing on the last damn step 3 times... i finally got it... imagine my excitement!

Thank you good sir, you are amazing!!!

  • @Caseyack hey im getting very confused with step 7. can you help me out?

  • @snoopy5691 remember to turn round the top layer once one corner is done. it looks like everything is being mucked up but once you have the top layer done you can just line up all the colours and its done. that had me confused for ages. does this help? sorry if not.

  • Thank u i finally got it!!!!!!!!!!!!. BTW your son is a beast at it

  • thankks sooooooo muchos

  • wow somehow i finished on step 6 lol

  • OMG THXXXXX!!

  • THANK YOU

  • Thank you sooo much! easiest tutorial on youtube!

  • in step 6 i do the U R Ui Li U Ri Ui L but my corners never match up, so what should i do at this point? do i keep doing it over and over?

  • I think you did a great job explaining each step. My son yelled YEA!!! when i showed him it was solved. thanks and again GREAT JOB!

  • THANKS I finally solved it!!! BEST RUBIKS TUTORIAL EVER!!!!

  • solved .... really great tutor

  • i just solved mine,,, thank you so much! keep it up! thank you

  • You saved me from future embarrassment!! Haha.

  • At 4:45 my yellow has been completed But the other colors are in some sort of a patter, what do i do if this happens?

  • I WANA HUG U THANKS

  • On then last step, i did it but the top layer was out of place, (the yellow was in place)

  • thank you !

took me 43 yrs, and finally thanks to you I got it done ... LOL

    :D

  • thanks! I was on step 5 and turned it and just realized that i had solved it. you rock david! :)

  • um at the begging all of the edges the are closer to the yellow are matching. Problem?

  • The better way, in my opinion, is to make the entire upper part yellow, then everything will become much simpler.

  • Hey I have used this method and it works, very well. I have solved it a bunch of times but the step six kinda messes with me because i sometimes get stuck because i will just orient change the three corners and non of them match up so i just randomly start picking corners to try and really change things up and that usually works. i was just wondering if there is something i should also be looking for that would prevent this random guessing.

  • @RecklessIntent91 haha never mind I was just being dumb. I was misinterpreting what you said. I thought I needed to get 2 sides completed. Figured it out.

  • omg! my corner pieces are in the wrong spots, advice?

  • thank you :)

  • Great yet the last step with the Ri Di R D I do this and when the pieces are in the right place the White side is stuffed up what do I do?

  • Thanks a lot. Great instructions, you made it so easy to follow.

  • Thanks a lot. Great instructions, you made it so easy to follow. :->

  • YOU ARE A GOD!!!!

  • YOU ARE A GOD!!!!

  • OMG! thank you sooo much. i started on ur videos a few hours back and i just finished solving it!!! took me a whole afternoon but i did it and i think for a first timer a whole afternoon isnt so bad.my whole family tried solving it with no success.i cant wait to show everyone!!!! :):) thnks again mr.pixelguy :)

  • every time i get to step 7, my whole cube gets messed up. ><

i tried so many times now. do you only do the Ri Di R D thing twice? because I dont know when to stop doing it.

    i am so frustrated. :(

  • @animengelz you want to stop doing it when the yellow cube is facing up (proper orientation). But always remember to do the whole set of four turns each time until the piece is solved....and only turn the U layer to get to the next yellow piece to orient. Good luck....

  • @animengelz I think I had your problem. You first do Ri Di R D until the yellow that needed to be fixed is in it's proper place (starting with it in the bottom right corner). After getting that result, spin the top layer until the next yellow needing alignment is in the bottom right. After they are all fixed you only need to spin the middle layers to get the rows to line up. There has to be a better final step, but thank god i can do it now!

  • @animengelz me too it gets messed up :(

  • @animengelz : by doing that u will be at the same wher u started....

  • many have problems completing step 6 - that part of the video takes a shortcut so here is what you need to remember: once you have a corner in the right location (not necessarily in the right order), put that corner at the bottom right and start your algorithm. If you don't see any corner solved, do it again with exactly that same side. You should not have to do this more than twice to get at least one corner properly place. Once you have it, move to the final step.

  • Thanks so much

  • Thanks for helping me solve this Mr. Vince Vaughn.

  • Thanks a ton!!

  • haha 1:20 "and you do this logerithm. Now this aller... algorawthm is uhh... this algorithm is a little lengthy."

By the way, you're awesome and the most helpful and easy to understand on youtube.

  • Thanks !! This is awesome ! My daughter just said I was kewl coz I got her cube fixed :)

  • By far the best explanation i've ever come across, thank you so much

  • YOU ROCK!!!!!!!!!

  • What do i do if the yellow is replacing orange an green and if they are facing up?

  • THE BEST EXPLANATION on youtube for someone who want's to solve the cube for the first time. congratulations my friend. keep the good job

  • In step 6, I keep doing the algorithm over and over again like you said with the matching corner on the bottom right and I cant get 2 corner to fit... best I could do is 2 corner that fit but opposite to each other... please help!

  • Thanks for the lessons, it took me about four hours to go from never having solved, to solving in about six minutes.

  • a big big big thanks to you. solved it. Can i really say solved it ?. Copied it from you

  • Thank You Thank You Thank You for making it all make sense.

  • In Step 6 , he Algorirthm in displayed in letters on the screen is different from the demonstration . The last turn is Left inverted vs what is shown as Left. Am i missing something ?

  • @brsnarayanarao The video and Letters are correct. Remember that Left turn is the left side turning clockwise (towards you) and Left inverted is away from you....

  • ...I screwed it up. But I have to say, this tutorial is thee best one out there.

  • i used gabbasoft cube demo to complete it

this means that you can practise the technique of the Ri Di R D(or all the other alg's) knowing you can rewind if (or when) you screw up

  • it always take me a long time to do 4:27 part.. can somebody tell me exactly what to do?

  • thank you i finally did my first rubiks cube..

  • dude i got the whole yellow matched, while doing the last step, but the other colors

are screwed! help me out please....

  • I DID IT!!! Thank you! ;)

  • thank u so much. i can solve this easily now and i have my best time being 4 minutes (i started learning 3 days ago, don't laugh) but i got to skip the 2nd and 3rd to last algoithms because it was lined up already. my average time is 6:30 thanks

  • aaaaahhh thank you :D finallly someone with a solution that actually works :D i always got to the last step and i was on another video and he made me mess it up numerous times but i have solved it with this one thank you !!!

  • Ok, I get the yellow cross, and the central column all line up. The four edges on the yellow face match as well ( the four corner pieces containing yellow are at the right corner, but not properly oriented.)

    What do I do?

  • There are actually three scenarios:

    1) Matching pieces opposite each other

    2) Matching pieces next to each other

    3) No matching pieces - or, only one aligned column can be formed. This is my current cube situation!

  • Thank you... but can you help me solve a 4x4x4 cube

  • thank you... i have been struggling for a few days now with the other tutorials... this one is by far the simplest. Esp. the middle row algorithms. made it much easier.

  • my record with this is 1.15 minutes

  • Awesome mate! Thanks a lot, your a star. Now can you make me a video on building a perfect woman in 6 easy steps?

  • I'll be sure to test this out sometime this week. Thanks for the simple solution!

  • IT WORKED!!!

  • i only have one matching top middle square... what do i do?

  • r0bhart once you have the yellow cross solved theres either gonna be 4 edges in place where you dont have to do anything or the two cases in this vid. You said you only have one edge matched just twist the up face I garuntee you have one of the cases.

  • Hey, great video, slow and informative, i managed to be able to do the rubiks cube some 20 odd years ago then lost the knack after not doing it for so long, this video has helped and did it first time today....now to get the speed up, tks again...

  • Excellent....i had a guy teach me this in my teens, and forgot how to do it, 25 years later the video works a treat....great vid....now to get faster and faster....tks

  • nice

  • God..that helped.. THX a lot!!

  • good explanation and simple to follow but the last stage doesnt work for me i dunno why. the whole top colour is correct but the other pieces are all scrambled after ive done it. ive tried about 5 times and it hasnt worked on any. i think its just me being silly lol

  • I had the same problem at first as well..make sure you do all 4 turns each time during the final step. There is a final d turn once you get the yellow on top....just count the 4 turns each step and it will work out....enjoy

  • thanks finnaly after 2 years of owning the cube SUCCESS!!!!! I worked out that instead of turning the top layer and staying on the same face on the last sequence i had been turning the whole cube around. Thanks alot really awesome im so proud that ive finnaly managed to do it lol

  • i did, but it messed up the whites, which in turn messed up the whole thing, luckily i can get back to the final step very easily.

  • ur my hero, i couldn't even solve the cube with the instructions included when i bought it!!!

  • I did it ! Thanks! You are a really good dad!

  • YES!!! Finally got it... Easiest ever!!! Your an Awesome DAD!!!

  • OMFG

ty mate it took me 3 or four goes to do the last bit but ur a ledge ty m8 :D:D

  • best one out! thanks so much!

  • I know away to figure it out turning it 1200 times.

  • dude thx all the vids where very helpful

  • I solved my first rubiks using the formula through fluking! ahaha :D

    Thanks btw

  • yeaaaaaaaah thaaaaaank youuuuuuu

i get a present for this from my father you are the best thanx!!!

  • Thank you soooooo much. I finally solved my first rubiks cube!!!

  • Man you're good at explaining this.

I got my first T when I finished watching your first vid and got it in 10mins!

    You're a good dad :p

  • Thanks Dave I never knew how to solve the last 4 corners ...thanks to you I accomplished it after 20 years.Great job mate. One off the "Bucket list".....

  • I always wanted to solve one of this things when i was a kid, I'm gonna get me one and solve it, and i don't care if my wife thinks i'm crazy. THANk you.

  • wow thanks

  • hey can anyone help me. i do step 6 and every time i do it the 4 corners never end up matching no matter how much i do it. i cant get them 2! pleeze help

  • You're the BEST Rubik's Cube instructor ever!!!

  • Fuckin thank u so much u fuckin rock dude

  • you rock dude!!!!!!!thanx..

  • Brilliant. Its taken me years to do the cube an thanks to this demo it has done it in a few days. Brilliant. Cant believe i've done it at last. Thank you

  • Wow, great job explaining, thank you so much, now i can do it great.

  • ive done it like 10 times without solvin it but now i got it!!!!!!!

  • Alright, I did it. I finally solved the cube. Thanks a lot. It's the easiest way to solve it I seen on youtube.

  • the best way to lower your times. Look at F2L and 4 look last layer. There are plenty of sites online about it. I made a starter video of f2l. Four Look last layer is starter to getting to two look last layer. Happy Cubing....

  • i have to say, this method of solving my cube was great, i just need some speed tips, if you have any please let me know many thanks.

  • FINISHED!!!

Thanks couldn't have done it without it easily the best solution I've ever found

  • I somehow got my yellow side done, but the corners are wrong

  • that last bit doesnt seem to go right iv dun the last layer but now the rest is messed up

  • I'm pretty sure it's just because you didn't do all 4 turns before moving to the next yellow corner. Try and count to make sure you do all 4 turns each time before proceeding to the next corner.

  • OK I have finnaly completed it now and mostly thanks to you

    Thanks

  • Thanks. These tutorial are so helpful.

  • im trying to do the last 4 corner cubes but its not working i just keep going in a circle

  • Alright i did it too! Almost screw it up twice but manage to back track. You're a good teacher!

  • YAY!!!!!!! i finnaly got it after redoing my cube 8 times from stuffing up the very last stepp!!! and just like floridagirl1269 i finished while every one was asleep :( no celebration lol quartre to midnight :P

Thanks David for helping me solve my first Rubix Cube!

  • thanks david! that really helped me! i just solved my first cube!

  • i fucked up at the last step and i had to start over but then i got it!!!!

im excited but no one is awake in my house to celebrate :( o well. THANX!!!!

  • when i did the last step, it did not work out. what did i do wrong?

  • make sure you did all the four turns before moving onto the next corner.....

  • i did every thing you did... but when i do the last few steps, the 2 opposite ends are the same ( white and yellow like you ) the bottom layer is not solved. everything is the same execpt i solved one extra side ( yellow )

  • I'm guessing here, so if you're saying that the yellow side is completed after you did all the steps but the rest of the cube is mixed, then I'm pretty sure it's because you are not doing the last D when you are moving the yellow corner piece up. OR, possible that you've taken the cube apart/stickers and didn't put it back together in exact order?

  • I can't wait to try this method.

I've always wanted to be able to solve a rubik's cube but never have been able to find a solution method that wasn't overtly complicated.

You make things sound simpilar (not meaning easier though) by not using too many technical terms.

Going to go get my cube and work on things.

    THANKS!!!!

    YOU ROCK!!!!

  • u should make a video for a faster way to solve ur a good teacher

  • thankyouuu

    this was very helpful
