  • Sexy sound

  • nice rs3.0

  • man were is this plase i ben lookin for a dyno in austin tx, can you please tell me were is it? tanks

  • @LUISx512 I dont remember exactly since i only got tuned there once. But if you google PTP you'll find it. Tuners name is Jon.

  • what kind of turbo kit is it.??

  • @carleezy4021 this was Dezod S1 kit.

  • @RusWolff what else did you have done? exhaust? flywheel anything??

  • @LegalE30 i replied to your PM so check it.

  • lots of turbo lag ... but nice sound :)

  • @oOoironhideoOo Actually it felt as there was no lag at all driving on the street. That turbo was pretty good match.

  • so if I turbo a tC to, oh, 8.0psi,

how long will my engine last assuming good tuning to keep afr where it needs to be?

  • or, let me put it this way, if I wanted to drive it

    50k, and

    75k

what PSI should I stop at?

  • @soccerballtux don't boost it. Sooner or later its going to blow with stock motor. If you want to drive the car for high milage stay away from FI.

  • @soccerballtux It's the tune that makes a rod. Nothing More. Nothing Less. I've seen people boosted for 40K+ and are still going strong. Eventually though, build that motor up. Even if it's just forged rods and pistons. I'm building my motor up this summer so I can turn up the psi and shoot for more power.

  • @soccerballtux it's hard to say. it can last 20K miles or 2K miles. Nobody can answer that question. It's like playing russian roulette.

  • did u have any problems with running the stock internals on the motor cause im thinking of boosting my tc and running around 6-8 psi?

  • i ran it on 9 psi and my stock engine went boom.. but i think i messed it up because i got on it few times with a shitty tune. now i'm running fully built motor on 12psi making 346whp and on 16 psi making 398whp with Hydra standalone EMS.

but you should be ok with 6-8psi just MAKE SURE you get it dyno tuned before going into boost.

  • @RusWolff alright thanks man yea im going to take it easy in the beginning till i get it tuned properly and then im going to start saving to build the motor so i can eventually go up in hp

  • i would suggest to really think about it before you go boost and built motor, because its going to be very hard to sell the car and sell everything if you decide to part ways with it. Myself for example is so far into the game that i'm stock with this car now for a long time and making it my toy.

  • @RusWolff yea i have to think about cause i know im going to have this car for at least another five years and then go from there so i have to think about it and c, its just that at turbo tc is so tempting haha

  • things fucking screaming!

  • yeah : ) I love my exhaust sound man !

  • Bro, is that a custom Turbo Setup? Or you bought it a kit? I'm saving my money to get a kit. Hopefully nest year I can buy it. Yours is a Dezod?

  • This is actually a dezod kit that you see in the video. But right now there is something much more powerfull being built.

  • @jsonx9000

If your gonna save up, save up big for the Ptuning SS turbo kit , Ptuning turbo-back exhaust, and the Ptuning fuel system.

  • yeah that ptuning fuel return set up is next on my list... As far as exhaust i think its too expensive. Yes is polished and pretty but its under the car so for me really polished does no good. My exhaust for example is a 3'' s-pipe back.

    $60 Hi-flow magnaflow catalyst converter

    $65 Magnaflow race muffler

    $70 Thermal exhaust tip

$220 all welding, all pipes and installing the exhaust.

so i think i saved almost $300 and i love the way its sounds.

  • When you have the ptuning turbo-back exhaust along with the ptuning turbo kit, you get an additional gain of 50-75whp

  • sorry to dissapoint you but you will not get 75WHP from their exhaust...

you would have to run HIGH boost to get 40WHP.

and to be honest with you, theres no magic to their exhaust. It is no different then any other similarly made 3" exhaust. my .02 is local exhaust/welding shop is the way to go..

  • Sweet Sound Of BOV

  • thank you.

  • beautiful

  • Thanks man.

  • where did you get the turbo housing heat shield from?

  • I got it on Ebay for like a 100 or something.

  • what kind of turbo is that? Is your scion a Automatic or manual? I have a 08 automatic and kinda wish i bought a manual, seeing as i want to turbo charge it now . lol

  • My tC is a manual and this is a 50 trim turbo.

  • damn, nice bro. w/ only 9-10 psi, thats bad ass, because theres always room for more boost.

  • and theres always a room to blow your stock engine. Which i already did...

  • yup i'm rebuilding everything new results will be posted.. but next year this car will have 500+whp

  • is this really low?

  • 300whp at 9 psi is good.

  • o i have no real clue, what size turbo is that?

  • 50 trim 48 A/R

  • you need injectors so you can up that boost and hit about what the srt-4 do with a 50 trim :)

  • Sick ride man...

Love the sound of your Scion dude...

  • thank you.. 3 inch magnaflow does sound sick :) I love it.. especially the rumble i get when driving slow in 1 and 2nd gears and coming to a stop surely makes people look .

  • that is one ugly car !!

  • Cool, thanks.

  • man u now need motor mounts. that is way to much motor movement. 60 bucks, u wont regret it

  • Yes i need them bad, lol...

i just dont know how hard is the install.

  • lol., thanks bud, you sold your car already ?

what are you driving now ?

  • WOW that makes me miss my car 10x more than i did 2 mins ago...

I think ur the first person to have no surge with the SSQV on a tC lol Very nice!
