My auntys boyfriend, now 41, was in the Royal Green Jackets. Andy McNab was also in the Royal Green Jackets!!! :D I just want to join the Army to be honest, I dont care which Regiment or Battalion or anything like that.
for anyone not familiar with this battalion they march at this double time pace as the norm, i had the privilege of working with them as the sister platoon for the PPCLI on their 75th anniversary and immensly enjoyed the experience
now that drill makes much more sense than bloody shoulders high...however when they break into double.....it gets me everytime. im sorry but it just makes me laugh, lots of respect to the guys tho.!!!
That is actually the Band and Bugles Of The Light Division. Which has now become the Band of The Rifles. Before the merge, the band was made up of buglers from the Light Infantry (Green Plumes) and the band from the Royal Green Jackets (Red Plumes) I have played alongside and with this band a number of times and they never cease to amaze me!

I was in 2 RGJ from 90 -till 92 then 1RGJ when the amlgimation happened ,gutted we had to get rid of our black capbadge .
