I have know Reed since he was born and he was the one all the girls would marry in day care in my back yard. Back when I still cared, I was right from the auditions on as to who "ought" to win (though it's up in the air since America does the voting) in 2 seasons; Taylor Hicks and David Cook. And now, like Al Pacino in Godfather 3, I'm being "pulled back in" because I care about another great performer/singer. Congratulations on being in the top 24. Break a leg, Reed. I hope you win.

Damn! Dude is epic! I agree, hard to compare him with anyone else. This season's American Idol has more uniquely talented contestants than any season of ANY talent show (AI, X Factor, The Voice, Star Search, etc) IMO, but this guy is an original. I really hope there are enough AI viewers w/the substance to vote for him!

I think we all are seeing the birth of a real American Idol. Reed is entertaining and talented and should be the last contestant standing. This is only the beginning for his career. I am blown away by this guy...too cool!

Reed, Randy Jackson made the comment last night saying you were another Casey Abrams but I think that's pretty erroneous. You're the only Reed Grimm there is; you are uniquely talented. I think it's okay to say he/she sounds "reminiscent of", but not "there's another (fill in singer's name)". To me, you are reminiscent of Blake Lewis, who I thought was horribly overlooked during his season on Idol-I predict you'll make it to the top 10, fingers crossed-play the game, get what you can out of it.
