Really great smooth deep sound you got on this record trichoone. Great work and awesome pictures. I really like the solo lights bit. Thanks very much!
This is my fave TL song ever.Only Philo could make a song about heartbreak sound happy.I love Phil so much BUT what was his problem with this song???He NEVER played it live.I can't understand why not when he was willing to play much inferior songs.Anyway I still love you Phil.
Man I Dont Ever Forget About Gary Moore He was a Fucking Legend and Still Is I Love Gary Playing Parisian Walkways or Black Rose He is a Brilliant Guitarist !!!
Jailbreak has so many great songs that didnt make the greatets hits like Romeo and The Lonely Girl, Search for'Pussy Fight Niall' or profile of 12InchTed, it's funny
I have nothing but love for Gary Moore!!!! Thats just my personal fav lineup. If you really want to make this an arugement we can throw in Eric Bell, Snowy White, John Sykes....and anyone else you want to mention.... what a hater
I'm talking Gary Moore in general like his solo albums collaborating with phil but I stand by the varying sounds of the earliest years were great, later on in Lizzy with Gorham and Robertson did not experiment as much because they came in to the band looking for a hard rock sound.Lynott said Lizzy got the heavier and the rest was put on to his 2 solo albums which is why they sound so different to the band. Search for'Pussy Fight Niall' or profile of 12InchTed, it's funny
This is my favorite Thin Lizzy song too. And my favorite quatrain. I'm a fool now that it's over Can you guess my name? I make my money singing songs about you It's my claim to fame
Perfect vocal from Phil Lynott. *Very* expressive. I love the guitar solo (1:40) and especially the note at 2:15 where Scott exits the guitar solo. Phil's great "na nas" at the end.
Lizzy was the unalloyed essence of what was best in Rock 'n' Roll. Philip had more class and charisma in his left earlobe than any score of contemporary rock "artists."
Oh yes, strangefish, Romeo & The Lonely Girl, an absolute pearl of a song with, for me at least, one of the best guitar solo's Robbo ever rolled off his fret board. Did they ever play it live I wonder?
Thin Lizzy were great. Phil Lynott was a star in his own right. What a tragedy that we've lost him. Thanks for all your videos, I'm going through them all.
Excellent video - saw Thin Lizzy a couple of years ago a Nottingham's Rock City and they were fantastic despite Phil not being there. R.I.P. Phil - a great great musician sadly missed.
1 of my most favourite songs ever.Phil was a genius-heres he makes a song about utter dispair sound happy.I wonder why he never sang it live or why they never put this song in the greatest hits collection.tut.Love you 4ever Phil!xxx
really really underated song is right, bein an irish man living in derry, my girlfriends in dublin, on that 5 hour bus journey as soon as i leave the airport and come in past landsdown rd i stick this song on the mp3 and kick back with a smile on my face,
Thank you for posting this. I've added this as a favourite to my space here. I remember dancing around my front room to this about a year ago. Friend's face a picture :o) Happy memories at not such a happy time. Thanks once again :o)
Phillip was brilliant...In addition to having his own style. He could do Hendrix (Warriors) or Van Morrison (Running Back,Dancing in the moonlight). Never forget Philo.

Gary Moore is a guitar GOD!
He can play Hardrock, Rock and Blues and make it all so naturally.
Both Gary Moore and Thin Lizzy deserves 100000 times the fame they have!

No,Scott Gorham did the solo!!!!!!!!
I had a 1976 version of "Romeo..." live in Cleveland.
Very different version...Too slow, but still brilliant.
You can hear the Gorham "tone"on that!
