The problem is The lyrics seriously need some editing because I cannot see what has "beat of the drum", "feet on the ground" and "make yourself proud", "shout it out loud" have any link at all. So if someone can come up with a better lyrics it would really be good :) .
The choreography / hand gestures suck too. Projects the casts (and probably to others who do not know Singapore) as a bunch of spastic pokemons jumping and fiddling with their hands in the most retarded way.

Youtube is international, and i think we singaporeans is the only people who bash their country in front of the international world when technically they did nothing wrong except for writing a cheer that you dont like. Dude and to all singaporeans who dont understand what is the difference in cheer and song.....A cheer is supposed to short and simple and basically quite stupid. something like the We will Rock you, Rock you, Yeah, Rock you, Woah.....while stamping your feet and clapping your hands. And a cheer dosnt have to reflect creativity. A song is different though, it must reflect creativity and must not be stupid.
And suffice to say, You are the one singapore is a cheer.

poor JJ ! He's getting criticised so much, when he is pretty talented. This cheer does sound silly, but I wonder if there was any restriction imposed on him when given the task to compose a cheer. Plus he did come up with a catchy tune.. even if the words are too simple to be appreciated ? haha but I guess cheer songs must be catchy and easy. We may still find ourselves singing this out loud during the games, so let's still keep our pride because Singapore have much to show (:
