This 5:00 clip and the audio CD soundtrack are better than the movie. I have a great imagination so when I listen to the diff tracks I can visualize the movie as it shoulda been. Its wierd...but that's me. There were scenes I liked in the film dont get me wrong, but the movie rarely moved at the pace it does in this clip. :)
@Gencturk92 Just the Main Theme from MW2 is from Hans Zimmer. The Rest is from Lorne Balfe. But Hans gets the undeserved fame for his work. Against this Guy he is nothing. Look how much instruments Brian can play. His Soundtrack are epic.
@AAXplosion Brian is a talent....But its not right when you say that Hans Zimmer is nothing. He was nominated for an Oscar when he was younger than Brian Tyler. But i think Brian will receive his first nomination for an Oscar in the next 5 years :)
@BestScores I do like your agrument this dude Brian has talent but Hans Zimmer is reallllllllly good comparing to Brian, but again Brian is better than some other composers like ramin djawadi (prison break & medal of honor...)
@simbij I know Ramin Djawadi. I think he is a good composer, too. He is much younger than Brian. But I think Brian need a movie like Transformers to show his whole talent :)
I always think music like this is so majestic! It must feel so cool to know you're a part of such moving music! Ah I only wish I could do that! Awesome.
Amazing! Does anyone else get chills listening to music like this? Zimmer,Rabin, and Tyler are the only composers that have done that to me. Battle Hymm on this album is amazing.... entire album is imo!
you know a guy said why in the end of the movie he goes like we had our breakfest
he thought of it as weird and thought of it as comic relief
wat an asshole
every marine/ solider know when not to stop fighting
and i will tell you this we wont stop fighting until the job is done
lt. peter Johnson my best friend
and im not trolling. he said that to the asshole in the movie theater . in front of everybody . that was funny and inspirational at the same time. he served 3 tours.
LOL! Check out the choir scene starting at 2:23. In the front left, with the black hair and the gray button down shirt. Hahaha, his facial expressions when he drops his hand and eyes the camera are like: "Are we done already? Damn next time I'm gonna call in sick." Hahaha, it's obvious he loves his job...
While the movie was a tad bit overrated, the music is UNDERRATED. :) I bought the soundtrack and it is incredible. The sounds of the movie mask alot of the music, but it goes great with the scenes. The calm part of "Abandoning Los Angeles is awesome. These songs play in my head alot when my life becomes fast paced. heheh
do you know what Brian Tyler need? An A class Peter Jackson sort of director. Honstly most of his movies are "okay" or "good" but never more than that (except Bubba Ho-Tep). His scores are better than the actual movies! I say that because he's such a fantastic composer. He really deserves a movie which compliments his talent!
I like his music a lot, he clearly has a signature sound, I'm only concerned about the ostinati he uses regularly, it's used quite too often for my taste, this may happen because of the action genre he's most of the time working on. I wish he'll do adventurous or swashbucklers in the future or even more drama (as Partition was a very good score for example). Next time a little less repeated rhythmic figures in strings and such and more advanced chord progressions, that would be a killer.
I have always been a sucker for a good soundtrack, and this is partly why I enjoyed the movie. It reinforced how real everything looked and felt for me. What I wish I could find on youtube is a clip of the scene where the Marines are flying into LA and landing at the FOB. When I was watching the scene in the theaters showing the overhead battle in santa monica with the music playing, I was frozen on the edge of my seat with goosebumps. There hasn't been too many movies that do that for me. :)
Watch me go see Battle Los Angeles and spaz over the music just because Brian Tyler conducted it. Hi i'm a 16 year old. AND I'M NOT ASHAMED OF BEING AN ORCHESTRA GEEK! \o/
