Yeaaah...Everclear's good live, too. I'm gonna assume Art didn't warm up at all and he probably wasn't too thrilled about having to be in Chicago at 615 am...especially then. If it was filmed in late December '07, it was rather snowy and miserable up here.

Art is my favorite songwriter ever and Santa Monica has been my favorite song for like 15 years. I've met Art at several shows and he is an incredibly gracious superstar who really appreciates his fans. And Art's not really losing his voice, I saw Everclear last week and he sounded great. All that being said, he butchered the first verse horribly. I've seen him mess up the words before, but wow, this time was real bad. We'll cut him some slack, he looked like he just rolled out of bed.

Sometimes when popular people become political, they just fall off. I know Everclear did that many years ago. It's just something that I've noticed. In this case, I think they just ran out of music. Still love their old stuff. His voice did sound very strained in this video though. Hope he isn't sick.

Art is my favorite songwriter ever and Santa Monica has been my favorite song for like 15 years. I've met Art at several shows and he is an incredibly gracious superstar who really appreciates his fans. And Art's not really losing his voice, I saw Everclear last week and he sounded great. All that being said, he butchered the first verse horribly. I've seen him mess up the words before, but wow, this time was real bad. We'll cut him some slack, he looked like he just rolled out of bed.

Im sure they were trying to be artistic but I prefer the original.

Wow...Pretty harsh comments. I loved the video, personally and sure wouldn't kick him off the camp chair if they were at my bonfire! Acoustic by its nature sounds different than studio versions and full-band ones. This is great. But maybe because I am older I can appreciate that difference.

This is fairly good for everclear live. I've always thought they were kinda cool, but they have always been awful in concert. Even back in the World of Noise and S&P days they were an assault to the ears.
If you like them. Yah. Don't go see them live.

i'm from Oregon. I have to say - honestly, it's disappointing that the original members left the band.
for anyone that really followed Everclear - it would make sense.

apart from "hater" which was pretty massive, no good songs have come out of the "new improved everclear"
