I loved this demo! have been waiting on the game for a while. i played on ps3, and the only bug/issue i had was a screen tear in the town after i left the alchemy lad place. it went away after a minute or two, but its what was expected with a demo. i reported the bug i had to help em fix it b4 the release, not sure if anyone else had this issue on ps3 or not. gameplay was fun and solid.

After playing the demo I'd have to say it looks and feels a bit outdated, it reminded me of Dragon Age, which is an amazing rpg, but is outdated none the less. I'd almost believe it if someone told me this was using the Dragon Age engine. It was pretty, even if the graphics weren't that great. It wasn't a completely free roaming game either.

However on the plus side, the fighting mechanics were a lot of fun! And I like the idea of being able to easily change your characters "class" and skills.

I played the demo on my 360 and tried to get a feel for the game. Dialogue and a character emotion really disappointed me. A character that doesn’t speak really takes away from the game play and story, considering in my opinion that any RPG character should have a voice, otherwise I and perhaps other players won’t be able to establish a connection. Overall the game is well rounded and basically an average game, nothing to get hyped about but fun to play...reminds me a lot of fable.

@Bennzeno I'd have to say I am more forgiving with silent protagonists in rpgs then you are. The more character creation control you have, the more I am ok with no player voice. I.E. in Dragon Age itd be hard to have that many voice actors, and in Skyrim nearly impossible. But in Mass Effect your pretty much either a male or a female, so its easy. Ultimately, Kingdoms of Almalur DID NOT have enough character creation to justify a silent protagonist. There really wasnt much to edit

I played the PC demo and it's very much like fable with a better combat and customization but the graphics and UI are pretty awful and need some work also the big black bar you get on your screen during a conversation is annoying.

Tried playing this on PC, despite having what should be a more than adequate system, it still ran very poorly. Not to mention the keyboard and mouse controls felt VERY weird.

I thought it was okay, at first I was like this isn't too bad but after a while, the same old grinding through quests, go there, go here, it got tiring after a while. Would I buy this? Not on day one, I'll def. get this when it goes to 30 dollars or less and knowing it's published by EA, this is going to drop mighty fast which is all fine by me. Smart move on EA to get all the dedicated ME fans to download the demo to get some content out of the game. GOOD TACTICS EA!

The fighting isn't as good as the devs were hyping up and the game world is really annoying with all the damn corridors & invisible walls. I was really hoping this would be Skyrim with better combat.

I actually had great fun playing through this demo. So much so that I may play through it again.

I like the childish whimsical air that surrounds the whole game, and without sacrificing a relatively deep and rewarding RPG and combat system, too. The art style is also eye-poppingly gorgeous.

The shitty non facial expressions in non cutscene sections has me worried the game devs just focused on the 'big' parts of the game that get lots of attention like flashy combat and overlook small details that can affect the quality of the game as a whole. Cool lore. Cool art style. Awesome flashy combat. Worried it will suck so will wait for reviews before I decide to buy or rent.
