  • Definetly a unique mod, especially for a 2D sprite based (3D world non-withstanding) game. Nice use of GZDoom's 3D model usage.

  • In this mod, I afraid not, because those backgrounds are basically just 2d-images. Therefore the cameras cannot move at all. Besides, there was no that kind of perspective in Resident Evil 1-3. ;) I'm trying to simulate just those games in my mod.

    It Does need Some work.

    The Zombies "Feet Sounds" Need to be Different then Yours so it Doesn't become annoying. And the Gun...Isn't Really Suited for Semi-Automatic Fire,It needs to be a Handgun.

  • No, I'm not. There will be different melee zombies, but also regular former humans and sergeants. :)

  • The prerendered backgrounds are done with the skyboxes. All Floors, ceilings and walls use the Sky-texture, so the models are actually "floating in the void". :D

    Right now I'm doing just the Hangar, because creating those backgrounds take a lot of time.

    I was wondering though, do you plan on doing more than just the Hangar level?

  • This shows a lot of promise... just out of curiosity, how did you manage to get the pre-rendered backgrounds to work in GZdoom?
