Have 3 Hi Point ,45's for issue to family if the situation calls for such. For $160 you can't go wrong. Have a couple of Armscorp 1911 .45s. Good pistols but at $360 they are not twice the pistol of the Hi Point. See millerusaf in you tube.
I love my Hi-Point. I have had no problems with it because I researched it. I know what you can and cannot do with these guns. I've had magazine feeding issues too, but with the factory magazines only. My 8-round promag magazines work fine with no problems!
A little mag advice. You can limit the feed problems of a new mag by completely compressing it with a wooden dowel around 50 times. This will break in those springs much faster than leaving the clip loaded only!
@opisex yeah well I like to play the devils advocate and use the most bashed gun in a competition. people were definitely surprised I used a stock hipoint in a competition. It was to prove that with all that shooting, It wont blow up in your face, your hands, and gun wont jam, unless you have a defective mag, like you saw on the video...overall im happy with the "cheap" Hi-point....
@frankthewood1 definitely, not only it will train and get to know your firearm a little better, it also helps you mentally and physically during the time when you really need it for self defense.
is it true u can put the 15 round extension on a carbine clip and it fit a c9????????????????????????please tell me if it is a good idea or will it jam
@smackyoshit17 well, I havent tried it yet, since I live here in California, they limit to only 10 rounds and no hi-cap available...It would be shweet if it did work! ... you might want to ask in thehipointtalk forums... thanks for asking though!
@smackyoshit17 Yes, you can. The Carbine mag is the same 1911 style with the same catch. If you do this and have feed problems, you simply bend the feed lips on the front of the mag out of the way of the nose of the round.
The springs are quite stiff on brand new Hi point mags. Try leaving them fully loaded for a few days in order to "break in" the spring tension. Hope this helps. Nice shooting btw.
@BluntmasterXIII ...Thanks! yeah thats what Ive heard also but Ive loaded them since I got the mags and left em like that for about 3-4 weeks. went to the range a couple of days ago and the magazine worked perfectly.

@IslandBruthaMarco Good Job! This type of shooting is very difficult, especially when there are lots of targets. just takes practice.
Those 10 round mags are hinky when fully loaded, as you found out. I put 9 in mine and only start the stage with it. that way, if there's a problem loading it, i can take care of it before the timer starts.
@firydeth Thanks! yeah, when I noticed that everytime I put 10 rounds in it, it will always not feed properly, so I just limited them to 8 rounds each magazine I had.

geez, it was harder than I thought it was! there were lots of targets and memorization of where were the targets are and how many shots until reload.
Definitely got the hang of it on the last match. At least next time I go im already prepared!
