OK, but guess what HBCU is the only one to have ever won the 1-AA Championship?? FAMU, a MEAC university, won the first ever 1-AA championship in 1978, and has been the ONLY HBCU to make it past the first round since then, making it into the semifinals in 1997, lossing to Jim Tressel's Youngstown St., before he moved on to Ohio St.

FAMU, a MEAC University, graduates more Blacks than any other university in the nation... and that's for both undergrad and graduate level degrees. Still love the SWAC universities, but I thought I'd add a lil truth to the convo.
