  • I like This Short Clip

  • what's the name of the song in the begin?

  • This is not Laural and Hardy, What did the need to sell features, instead or the old two reelers do to them? Wind the clock back a decade or more and you have the real laurel and Hardy.

  • I watched this with my 18 month old niece, she LOVED the soldiers marching around at the very end, she was marching around the room herself =]

I love this movie, so fantastic.

  • whats wrong with that Lion at the beggining?

  • thanks for this today. made my dreary day beautiful and full of good memories when my kids were small. the music brings me to a calm. love

  • creepy shit i tell you creepy...

  • @MoNsTeRCuTe96 truly... I thought I was the only one. Strange how sinister I remembered this movie, when I watched `babes in toyland` when I was 7 or 8 years old.

  • I remember this airing about once a year when I was a kid, and I eagerly awaited it each time. One of my favorite childhood movies.

  • @critterladyme same here

  • Dear Rosey And Ortleyman, I ment to say that Mr.Crapra's "It's A Wonderful Life"is boring, depressing and patronizingly preachy. It's pure overrated and overpraised Crapper Corn!

  • Dear Rosey and Ortleyman, I agree with you both Mr.Carpra's "It's A Wonderful Life"is boring,depressing and

patornizingly preachy..but L&H's movie version of Vic Herbert's and Glen MacDonough's "Babes In Toyland"/"March Of The Wooden Soldiers"is still funny and tuneful.

  • It's STILL a holiday classic for me. I hate It's a Wonderful Life... so boring and fuddy duddy..... but this! WOW! FUN!

  • im 13. these guys are soo funny! i love them in brats!

  • This was a holiday classic in the 50's and 60's. I'm amazed that some of the comments come from 20 year olds. Boy do I feel old. I'm glad younger generations can enjoy the talents of these two pioneers. Thank you for posting this. I think I need to find this on DVD now.

  • A great movie which is ruined on tv by commercial breaks. Stan Laurel himself publicly stated that continuity in a film can make for a good film.

  • origionally they were going to film this in colour but they didn't have the funds

  • I'm 20 but I LOVED this as a child! I had forgotten what it was called until just now!

  • me too i'm 22! LOL

  • Yes, this movie was on all the time in the 60's and 70's on WPIX channel 11 in NYC and it was caled "The March of the Wooden Soldiers." My favorite movie as a kid. I would still watch it today. Great movie. I do not know why it isn't shown anymore just that depressing flick "What a Wonderful Life." Whipdee doo! with James Stewert. What a drag.

  • i grew up on this movie..

even though its also known as "March Of The Wooden Soldiers"<33333333

  • That is really a monkey in a Mickey Suit..LOL

  • God I love this!!! I used to watch this every Thanksgiving as the below poster said also. I was telling my fiance about this and he couldn't find it in the store...I bet amazon. Anyway, It's a childhood fav of mine!! Classic!

  • Actually? Mr.Kleinbach/Brandon's:"Barnaby"was the opera

house showman in"The Our Gang Follies Of 1938".

  • this is on every thanksgiving morning for the past several years. i always make sure to get up and watch it and then i watch the parades. :D such memories of coziness and family and good food this movie brings to mind

  • This was supposed to have been an "over- the- moon" success when released in 1934 and the trailer definitely shows why -- who wouldn't have stood in line during those cold depression years to see this? I only recently-discovered that a few-years later Felix Knight was at Warners' doing a technicolor- short with songs written by my grandfather -- wish now I had asked grandad what was like to work with him! Thanks for putting this-up. Great trailer!

  • Now This! This is "Babes In Toyland"and vintage L&H

..Mr.Disney..You'll never top or improve upon

    this!

  • you're talking about the great henry brandon-best known for his role as Scar in the Searchers.

  • Sharp-eyed viewers may recognize Mr. Barnaby as the fiendish opera house owner who forced Alfalfa to sing in the streets with a tin cup in his hand, in the Little Rascals episode "Our Gang Follies of 1936."
