This is not Laural and Hardy, What did the need to sell features, instead or the old two reelers do to them? Wind the clock back a decade or more and you have the real laurel and Hardy.

@MoNsTeRCuTe96 truly... I thought I was the only one. Strange how sinister I remembered this movie, when I watched `babes in toyland` when I was 7 or 8 years old.
Dear Rosey And Ortleyman, I ment to say that Mr.Crapra's "It's A Wonderful Life"is boring, depressing and patronizingly preachy. It's pure overrated and overpraised Crapper Corn!
Dear Rosey and Ortleyman, I agree with you both Mr.Carpra's "It's A Wonderful Life"is boring, depressing and
patornizingly preachy..but L&H's movie version of Vic Herbert's and Glen MacDonough's "Babes In Toyland"/"March Of The Wooden Soldiers"is still funny and tuneful.
This was a holiday classic in the 50's and 60's. I'm amazed that some of the comments come from 20 year olds. Boy do I feel old. I'm glad younger generations can enjoy the talents of these two pioneers. Thank you for posting this. I think I need to find this on DVD now.
Yes, this movie was on all the time in the 60's and 70's on WPIX channel 11 in NYC and it was caled "The March of the Wooden Soldiers." My favorite movie as a kid. I would still watch it today. Great movie. I do not know why it isn't shown anymore just that depressing flick "What a Wonderful Life." Whipdee doo! with James Stewert. What a drag.
God I love this!!! I used to watch this every Thanksgiving as the below poster said also. I was telling my fiance about this and he couldn't find it in the store...I bet amazon. Anyway, It's a childhood fav of mine!! Classic!
this is on every thanksgiving morning for the past several years. i always make sure to get up and watch it and then i watch the parades. :D such memories of coziness and family and good food this movie brings to mind
This was supposed to have been an "over- the- moon" success when released in 1934 and the trailer definitely shows why -- who wouldn't have stood in line during those cold depression years to see this? I only recently-discovered that a few-years later Felix Knight was at Warners' doing a technicolor- short with songs written by my grandfather -- wish now I had asked grandad what was like to work with him! Thanks for putting this-up. Great trailer!
Sharp-eyed viewers may recognize Mr. Barnaby as the fiendish opera house owner who forced Alfalfa to sing in the streets with a tin cup in his hand, in the Little Rascals episode "Our Gang Follies of 1936."
Balmiest?? Very hot, are they?
Or possibly "barmiest"? ;)

I remember this airing about once a year when I was a kid, and I eagerly awaited it each time. One of my favorite childhood movies.

A great movie which is ruined on tv by commercial breaks. Stan Laurel himself publicly stated that continuity in a film can make for a good film.
