  • I love her face, she is so v much sexy

  • after hearing this.... i am definitely going with the 450

  • EQ

  • Sounds exactly the same, hilarious.

  • She's a groove monster

  • Change your bloody strings for christ sake!

  • Don't call attention to her accent. Its beautiful!

  • Muuuuuuuddy poo sound

  • STA-KATO? She needs an Italian lesson!

  • Am I the only person who finds her pronunciation of staccato kind of odd?

  • Yeah the first one was better

  • @TheWizardofGore I agree. The staccato sounds alright but I heard more bass and clarity from the 450. I wonder which amp she uses now...

  • she's shy. too sweet...

  • the new one is colder and more sterile.

  • he?

  • I would settle for 10%!! He is a god!

  • Absolutely superb playing, gentle, subtle, loads of feeling, totally devoid of ego....I want lessons from you!!!!! x

  • @IwishIwasPino ..hahaha love the name..would love even 10%of his skills:)

  • I feel kinda funny.

  • @hymanpena its called love

  • @hymanpena its called love

  • I would...

  • now playing bass for PRINCE!! so awesome!

  • The lady, the Yamaha TRB and of course the TC amp all sound just bloody brilliant!

  • I'll get all in bundle. The amp, the bass and the lady :-D

  • That kicks ASS! So precise and . . . Damn. And the bass amp's good too. :) She's freak'n good.

  • She is a great bass player

  • To my ears the RH450 sounds better.

  • Staccato is much fuller and richer sounding! TC should come out with a Staccato 1000!!

  • LoVe The way you play!!!!!!!!!!

  • i love u,,,so talented,,,

  • tal wilkenfeld vs bassida????? bass battle...who wins?

  • @ssab420 tal is way ahead of Ida I'm afraid

  • @ssab420 funk and groove wise = Ida. Jazz and tech = Tal IMO

  • are those light gauge strings or are my fingers not strong enough to bend a bass string like that!

  • Very nice demo - but hey you've left your hair scrunchy on the first fret!

  • @eckie4679

It's there for a reason, it's to dampen the strings so it won't ring or buzz, a lot of slap players do that. =)

  • @GiantPandas Yep figured that - a novel yet very economical application but hey i don't have enough hair for a scrunchie!

  • I love women bassists, especially Bassida! You've got the groove! Great playing. Love your top too!

  • I'm a guitarist and the bassplayer in my band has a good slapping technique, and I always wonder how that triple slap kinda percussive "didididid" is done -like at 0:38, how does she do that? What part of her hand or fingers is quickly hitting the strings? Aside from that I don't know how much I like the amps but her playing is pretty damn sick.

  • @faningo276

You slap an open string - the E-string for instance - and then you hit the fretboard hard with your left hand, slap the same string as before (which is muted now cause your left hand is muting it) and then you pop the G-string which is also muted.

Slap open string - Hammer-on (just not on a fret) - Slap muted - Pop muted.

  • I Like this AMP, i am in the market for one and this is it., Nice playing by the way, whats not to like pretty girl that can play bass...YES!

  • Ida kicks butt!

  • Funky BASSIDA jamming!

  • a Milano con Prince è stata FANTASTICAAAAAAA !!!! lol

  • daang shes sick!

  • damn she's awesome

  • It´s from her Album called Marmelade. "Be Mine" is the number that she plays

  • Whats the name of the music played from 3:25 to 5:12 ?

  • She is the new bassplayer for Prince...! Awesome!! Just released in the danish press!!

  • I think they still dont as good as Markbass, EBS, SWR and Ampeg..

  • @kasthebass For what reason?

  • thanks for the video a product I couldn't find much on. I think it sounds a little stale. Almost like a good D.I. which would be great for alot of styles, but useless for others.

  • She is excellent !!!

  • CUTE, SEXY, AND TALENTED (WHAT A DEADLY COMBINATION)!!!!! U GO BABY!

    "Romance"

    11:11

  • new one sounds brighter to me.

  • @xscottmcdonaldx you can tell that from a youtube video ?

  • @HackerGuitarist yeah, it's kinda subtle.maybe i got good speakers.

  • Wow What Great Products!

  • NICE, girl is killin that bass. Love it

  • You say Stuh-CAY-doh, I say Stuh-CAH-doh.

  • @MajorImpact and the correct way would be "stack-atto" :p

  • I LIKE!!!!!!

    MACHINE GUN WOMAN!!!!!!

  • Is there a difference ??

  • I don't know how can anyone hear any difference listening to a youtube video. I mean if you hear a difference that's more likely to be a different EQing on the two preamps.

  • Damn girl!!......You're Good!!

Nice to see a female playing bass, in a 'normally' male-dominated scene.

    (Yes, I'm a guy...)

  • 1) For sure, the hairbands do not act as a capo. It's used to mute the strings and give her a cleaner slapping/tapping sound

    2) The Yamaha is stock. It is the most high-end TRB one, so it comes stock with the individual saddle bridge

    3) Great playing by Ida!!!

  • @mas502arc no.1 thats a pretty smart Ida !! i'll try to grow my hair and give it a shot . ta .

  • The RH450 has more grit/punch to it compared to the Staccato to my ears, where the Staccato is a bit brighter and perhaps mid-scooped.

  • Great sounding head need to get one. i wonder how it would work in a rock band.

  • Staccato is def a bit brighter sounding in this recording

  • Holy crap she's fantastic! Great job!

  • hey everyone, the hairband is to help mute the bass strings so that she gets a cleaner slap with absolutely no ringing from the other strings.

  • @NikWestBass

Thanks! I was wondering about that.

  • Yeah OK - it looks like a hairband though. Maybe she simply has to short arms ;-)

It is also seen here at the end of the video

watch?v=vixII8hXAfc .Anyway I'm pretty sure her TRB5PII is totally stock ... NICE bass

  • @Specialroos77 That "bridge" is just her hairband used to dampen the strings playing them open.... That's a TRB 5PII exactly like mine and I can tell you it's very far from "thin"

  • she uses it for a capo. the bass is 35" scale. she does it with her lakland's too. capo off at the first fret, tune to e and it's shorter scale. like 33.5"ish.

  • not great enough than a Tech 21 preamp bass amplifier lol ^^ but her demo is okay.

  • The Stacatto seems a bit more scooped. More top end and low end.

So for a lot of stuff I actually like the RH450 more, it's a bit warmer. (in this demo that is!)

  • i wasnt expecting a great difference due to my intern laptop speakers but you are right

  • Comment removed

  • wow damn that's some mighty fine bass playing on some pretty sweet ass gear can't wait to get the new staccato combo what's up with wrap around the neck by the headstock? anyone..just dampining or what?

  • yo kiero una vieja asiiiiiii te amoooooooooooooo

  • ha ha

  • lol if you look on the Staccato'51 the tube ton is up more then the RH 450 so its going to sound diffront

  • Always thought the TRB's sounded thin until hearing this. Nice playing too, great demo.

  • @markdlowe I don't think that TRB is stock. Pretty sure they didnt come with that type of bridge anyway.

  • This is a great product demo....... TC you need to have more of this sort of thing with this sort of calibre of players...... Bassida really sells your stuff so well.

  • aguante ida !!!

  • me too

  • Gotta love TRBs .. :)

  • WOW!

  • she is cute:))))

  • delicious

  • sexy woman great playing and tone

  • very nice clarity , and note seperation , sounds alive , not dull or lifeless , and not to fake sounding, like somany digital rigs , and great playing by the way

  • phenominal feeling.

  • Does Ida get one in her own color?

  • i am in love with this woman! :)

  • Nice.

  • smokin' :)

  • Ida, you're grrrreat!! (and an awesome role model for my 8yr old daughter, she really digs ya) ;)

oh ya, the Staccato is great as well

  • NICE AMP ,GREAT PLAYING, SEXY IDA

  • to my ears the new amp sounds like the old one - just with less midrange...

  • @steffenbrix exactly. not particularly better thus....

  • @steffenbrix

    That's why I don't use there amps

  • Wow. She's good.

  • And also, pardon the ignorance but what bass is that? Killer tone

  • Its a Yamaha TRB. Not sure of the exact model.
