Some shampoos have toner right in it; negating the need for toning after bleaching. So either your family member uses something like that, or they really know what they're doing with bleach! Either way, your hairs look fab! Thanks for the info! :)

the macadamia nut conditioner is THE BEST THING EVER CREATED!!! it brought my hair back from pure and utter damaged CRAP to silky smooth shiny hair ... i wont use anything else anymore, although you can only use it like twice a week... it may be expensive, but you only need maybe a quarter size blob, even with your long hair .. :)

@beautifulbutterfly55 it grows faster when you get it trimmed regularly. split ends prevent it from growing healthily, and, obviously, makes the ends look thinner so you can't really tell how long it is anyway. if your hair is breaking off you have to get it cut. people will see you and say 'hey look at your shorter but healthier hair' instead of 'wow that's some pretty damaged but long-ish hair'. seriously, get. it. cut.

I found a purple shampoo at Walmart by Jhirmack, silver sensations or something like that. Its really good, not drying at all, really creamy. I think it was around $5 and I'll def. be buying it again. The go blonder spray, I haven't used but Theresa (BeautyForEveryday on YT) used it and loved it but had a really bad experience with it when she had her hair recolored at the salon. my favorite product is the chi keratin mist. i have curly hair. this helps to strengthen and i notice it tames my curls to more of a wave. i use the neutrogena triple moisture shampoo, conditioner and leave in conditioner. before applying the leave in conditioner i use the keratin mist. when i plan in heat styling i use the chi silk infusion.

If you guys don't like using heat protectante because it takes too long too dry before straightening put it on after your shower when your hair is wet so once your hair is dry you can just star straightening :)

@makeuplovexxx3 i blow dry my hair and then straighten with my chi flat iron. you could maybe use a flat iron to kind of turn the ends under a little. my hair has natural curl so sometimes if i don't completely straighten it then it's got some wave to it.

My uncle runs a hair salon and I literally would not go in at all for like a year cause I wanted my hair to be long. But I just went in a few weeks ago and he ended up cutting off most of the hair that I was working on growing because it was dead and gross. So learn from me and pleaaase get a trim every 4 - 6 weeks!

I have the lightening Spray and I like it, I haven't been back to the salon for a color (highlights) since April which is awesome, but be careful cause if your natural color is not blonde, it can look brassy and the purple shampoo helps but just be aware of that!

Also she told me not to use the Suave shampoos because they have ingredients in them that strip the color out of your hair. just an fyi you girls' hair looks gorgeous though so maybe it's working for you and not against

Be careful with the go blonder spray! I used it on my roots but it gave me a huge HUGE horrible rash on my scalp and on my neck and face! Look up Fleur De Force's video called DO NOT BUY THIS and she talks about how it happened to her too!

The reason you need to trim your hair for it to grow is because when you have split ends all of the nutrients in your hair is working to fix the split ends instead of growing your hair. Thus, cutting your hair will allow the nutrients to divide equally and your hair will grow more :D

I was in the process of growing it my hair and I have very fine baby textured hair. It's not so much thin as it is fine..anyways my hairdresser recommended micro trims every five weeks. It really helped my hair continue to grow while looking healthy!

hey just a tip im a hairdresser and most of those spray in lighteners contain metallic salts and if you put bleach and color of them it will melt your hair :( you might want to check yours or bring it to your hair dresser to chech before using it anymore
