  • Fuck this...

  • "I think the lawsuits are going to take Youtube down"

    ...4 years later...

  • These old geezers are so boring it's funny :D

  • "i think its a bunch of bull"

  • so if you post the movie with a slight grey tone over it and it still looks almost exactly the same to watch, it counts as your own creation and not pirated movies?

  • the terror of the binary seas has arrived with a few terabytes of blank hard drive. hoist up the jolly-roger and mutiny, were plundering the internet sea.

  • youtube anti-piracy: classify everything as WNG and mute it permanently...

  • Piracy is not morally analogous to theft, even slightly.

  • I think Youtube has helped media sales... be it movie tickets, or dvd/BR purchases... or Gaming, and Audio (mp3s or CDs)

I think this whole anti piracy campaign is oppressive and purely greed driven... I have 2 words for the RIAA and WMG, and all the other Media companies that are determined to eliminate their best advertisement line.... "FUCK OFF!"

  • this video is totally pirated

  • Viacom started all this shit, they were the piraters out there. Then Viacom became spike, before that they had people upload their personal videos example a trip to somewhere or a video like what's on YouTube every day. Viacom took them and said they owned it, go to JeepersMedia to get the full story, I don't fell like typing all of it. But any way, I think all the butt plugs that work for YouTube should stfu, and leave us alone and let it be the way we were, where no harm was done!

  • Lets see..whats the difference between watching stuff at youtube for free and watching them in better quality streaming online on another page?...Oh ye youtube makes money!

  • SHIVER ME TIMBERS!

  • fuck them we take our time to make original videos and that fat bitch is saying how we pirate videos...

That dude in the green shirt is a fucking bitch and i hate him just for saying that youtube sucks....

Than he lies and says he doesn't hate facebook.

Little fatty needs to stfu before his computer start cursing at his fat ugly ass.

  • I pirated this and shared it with ma friends what u gona do now? lol

  • YOU ARE A PIRATE

  • @nrzv YAR HAR FIDDLE DE DEE

  • @dachshundfan A PIRATE IS FREE

  • dipset

  • Youtube will never die

  • Okay about an sixth of the worlds population go on youtube regurarly thats about a billion people. Dontcha ya think that shutting it down would piss a lot people off?

  • Pirates!!! Yargh!!

  • Websites are dynamic, the Internet is dynamic and constantly evolving quickly. To prevent sites as YouTube from operating just to stop piracy would halt the flow of information on the Internet.

  • Lol. If they know majority enjoys and supports piracy, why do big companies keep fighting it.

  • lolz, I'm aswell :p, that's why I thank those pirates for stealing for people like us ^^

  • I'd like to use this opportunity to thank all pirates here on you tube, for the hours of entertainment you've given me and so many others. Thanx guys

  • fuck you asshole

  • Shut down youtube, you basically shut down society. You're looking for a riot on your hands.

  • You cannot stop the sharing of information

It's a tidal wave that cannot be stopped.

People are just gonna have to evolve

    with technology.

  • youtube is fail for finding pirated stuff

  • GARBAGE DAY! wat? no! *PEW* argh!

  • All data on the internet is either a 0 or a 1, how is two numbers piracy?

  • Try to develop your own program from scratch and you'll understand why those "1's and 0's" are considered piracy.

  • I am a professional programmer.

The only unique characteristic is the arrangement of the 1-0's, however when one torrents a file, it is split up, and encrypted into a new arrangement which is different from the original arrangement.

So now we consider a small segment of arranged 0's and 1's, which has changed its composite and arrangement completely to be piracy?

  • Yes. It is still piracy.

When you encrypt a program, your only shifting the arrangement to a new arrangement. When you compress a program, it reduces the amount of repetitive bits. However, you need to change the program back to it's original arrangement in order for it to work.

Plus, the argument is not about the bits themselves. For example, all matter in the universe consist of only 118 element. It is what you do with those elements / bits that make the object (or program) significant.

  • well computers mainly use hexadecimal on top of binary which has dos or unix on top of that. AND on top of that multiple framework codes and such

  • Your understanding of the inner workings of computers is erroneous at best.

Binary is the underlying principle of computers, on top of that you can construct hexadecimal, however every structure ultimately comes down to binary expressions.

  • and that what was i was saying (even if put a bit differently)

  • Im a pirate

    I call the name "Swash-Buckla"

  • To err is human....

To arrrr is being a pirate....

    ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

  • Arr, matey!

  • I want to be a pirate!

    My name is Guybrush Threepwood.

  • anyones a doushebag if they want to shut down youtube

  • go pirate's!!!!!!

  • EVEYRY BODY IS A PIRATE fuck it

  • These guys have no idea what they're talkn about...I must have went to the movies about 5 times solely based on the previews that i've seen on youtube. Media companies benefit from youtube.

  • Many people preview a song/album on Youtube and then decide on whether or not they want to buy it.

  • they can't blame youtube they have a policy against uploading copyrighted material (which sucks for us) but we make the decision to upload therefore youtube's not condoning nor has any intentions of violating copyrights lawyers would eat that alive in court

  • haha, they pirated this video!!

  • pfff..i hate this....how can you go do jail for somthing that doesn`t exist (internet) the only thing that exist is the hardware...the soft is like air for me....so it should be free to use it ho i want

  • define existence. those ones and zeros all perfectly arranged to make software may be 'virtual' but they still exist in that they can be seen, heard, used, even touched. is that not existence?

  • you can't touch a 1 or a 0.

  • the guy on the right is a fucking dumbass

  • Its Viacom who started this shit.

Noone makes a profit, people share things, and it may drum up business for companies like Viacom.

Honestly, Facebook sucks. I deleted my account because its the most bullshit social networking sit out there.

  • youtube dont care about the rules. Youtube is the thief not pirate bay lol.

Vote on the piracy party in eu

  • Face book pisses the cops off. people leave messages "gone to china for a week" then before they know it the house gets broken into, then everybody on youre facebook is a suspect!

  • What are they worried about? How is it piracy if the person posting these vids are not making money from them? Esp news articles. The public has rights to these news articles that were made public before.

  • it not piracy. That I why I think Viacom will lose. If Viacom tries to compare this to napster then Google lawyers would blind side them the diffence. Napster is downloading and making it into cds. Youtube is uploading and not download. you can't download off the youtube and google lawyers know that so in the end viacom will get blind sided by that.

  • Piracy is when you take something that is not yours.

What these twats are complaining about. Is supporting piracy. Which youtube are also, not commiting. Whats happening, is that youtube has given piracy a new tool. To be Technical. Youtube has been commandeered/hijacked. And they will be punished, for being a victim.

  • So therefore you are saying information that has been provided on satelite airwaves...that we already pay to have...recorded on another source of provision that we are paying for now; is illegal and considered piracy? Esp. when we are talking about political figures. We as citizens should have all this information opened to us. We are voters damn it! I should not have to pay for information for these assholes! If the information is wrong...let them take it to court and fight it! LOL!!!

  • Even if you pay for something, and are allowed to view it. I own all the Police Academy films, lots of people have seen them, theyre pretty old. But me watching this on youtube is ILLEGAL, I can download them, and watch them legally but not allowed to keep them any longer than a day (illegal).

Youtube doesnt have a licence to broadcast Police Academy. So I am not allowed to watch it, despite the fact I payed for, and own all the videos .

  • It isn't fair to the person who created it. Imagine you creating a software at a cost of fifty grand, and people just take it off the net.

  • I'm not talking about stealing someones software. My main thing is news reports. What would be the difference if I recorded a news report and used it to make a point to a group of people. Thats not stealing. That is educating by using news that has already been sent over the airwaves to the public. If the public missed that information being sent out free to the public, then it should be able to be sent out again free to the public.

  • It's not about things like news. It's about things that individidually cost money to make and people just takes them. Like a car

  • When you make a software, you must be aware of that...

  • That's like saying imagine you create fifty grand worth of air, and then release it. No body does that because it would be impossible to regulate. However software companies seem to think that software is tangible and a good product worth investment. Their bad.

  • Wow these guys are douchebags. fuck them and fuck anti-piracy on youtube

  • How about shutting down viacom instead, that'll end the bitching about copyright

  • Haha that guy in the striped shit is a real downer

  • FUCK ALL THESE IDIOTS

  • Fuck these retards.........

  • Ive had a youtube vid of mine flagged by the original music artist, but they didnt remove it,NO,they just said i can keep it online as long as i let them put ads on the page when people watch it...so basiclly piracy is ok if they can make some money from you

    DOUBLE FUCKING STANDARDS!

Fuck FACVEBOOK,BEBO,MYSPACE and all these data harvesting social networking sites...

  • lets be honest,if youtube were to remove every video thats is uploaded wothout copyright then youtube would only have about 5 videos to stream lol

Same with Rapidshare and other file hostsmthey are full of copyrighted films/games/apps etc, again if RS were to actually remove the stuff they would go out of business in 2 days lol

  • we cant let the rich pukes shut youtube down ever. we r the fans we make the rules the customer is always right. fight the power! if youtube goes down hollywood goes down!

  • If they were to shut down youtube, I would immediately boycott anything commercial. They movie and music companies will shoot themselves in the foot by antagonizing their potential customers!

  • Well, you can't really judge youtube. I mean - if the companies are really worried about a 10 minute maximum pirate, then why wouldn't they give them rights to stop it? I see social network addictions as idiotic. Keep in touch with family and friends, not play pong on a website that fills your inbox.

  • How do I get past this fucking tool?!

    The tool always cathes me.

IS it the thumbnails that's giving it away?

  • to say that most of youtube is copyrighted material is silly.

MOST of the music videos are on official accounts

there's nothing really substantial from Fox or Comedy Central

Most of Youtube is user generated content, and a lot of "e-stars" got their start here.

  • Absolutely.. I agree with the guy that stopping piracy is going to be tough but the vast, vast majority of Youtube is user generated. They don't sound like they know what they're talking about.

  • Fuck these old guys probably don't even watch youtube and there a bunch of dumbasses. btw if i already posted a comment like this it's because my wireless went out and i had to rewrite it

  • Fuck!! This crappy video has ads!!! OH MY LOL

  • these guys are idiots...

  • Lets be Privateers. A new definition and meaning to this word: we essentially lost a lot of trust and respect for the media/entertainment industries. And will not do a lot of business with them anymore. It will be adversial a lot of times. we are also more consumer conscious and will venture forth on all legal and lawful opportunities and options available to us. For one thing and example, we will check out DVDs, music cds, audio books and even books from the library. ;)

  • who the hell are these idiots? All they do is criticize youtube and other websites and they don't go and develop their own sites (like I do). I do not like it when non-developers criticizing websites and software.

  • lulz "we dont care about the rules"

  • I trust Google. They said fuck you to the government when the gov't wanted to see the searches for "porn".

  • Loooooooool..........

Laughing out out out out out out out out out out LOUD! :) ^^

  • yes shut down you tube its like shutting down all the light in the world

  • hell i copy download and whereaver i could do here , first its because its my fucking computer, second i pay the fucking light plus taxes and tird if they dont like to us to copy recordying or transfer dont put nothing here or there..LATER

  • its true what he says about myspace at the end, it is ugly. not only that but too many people have music tracks that automatically start blarring when you load their page, quite annoying.

  • Napster used to be free

  • Napster used to be free before Metallica started complaining.

  • Blah Blah "They're comparable to Napster"...BULLSHIT, does Napster Charge for their services? Yes they do! Does Youtube charge for their Services? No they don't,get it right,DORK,YOUTUBE IS FREE NAPSTER CHARGES FOR THEIR SERVICES,ASSGOBLIN!

  • I bet it was already cracked by the time it was released! Nothing is fool-proof.

  • When napster came out it was free
