The people who slag off Tim Vine are those who have never actually sat down and tried to write a perfectly formed one-liner. Metering the words, taking words out, not allowing the build-up to make the punchline predictable. Jimmy Carr is a master because he openly says that he tries to formulate a joke with as few words as possible. By the way, it's not actually Tim's fault that he went to a public school - And it's possible his parents could barely afford it. I don't know but it's possible.
