He was an example of how to serve the Lord. How to love a wife. How to serve his fellow man. He and the first bishop I met are what converted me, because I finally saw what it was to love Christ, to serve Him, to set aside your ego for the Lord. He was a Christian to the core, he was the most humble of servants, and I believe the Lord selected him so that we could have an example that stood before us in the flesh and there would be no question how we should be.

i am not going to lie,you can call me a sissy, a pansy,what ever, but every time i listen to a testimony from gordon b. hinckley,i tear up and start to cry, because every time i hear him speak, i feel closer to god,i feel beyond proud to be a latter-day saint,every time i think about him not being with us,makes me sad, because he meant SO MUCH to so many people,to me,i love him,and he loves us,and you,he loves everyone,this glenn beck is a amazing person,i hope everyone has a testimony like this

I will always remember where I was when I heard the news of president hinckley's death. We were blessed to have the privilege of learning from him while we did. Those who know who he was are better because of it.

I had a similar experience when I heard... I'd always imagined that I'd be horribly sad when Pres. Hinckley died, but when I reached into my store of emotions, all I could find was happiness. We still have a leader in Pres. Monson, and Pres. Hinckley no longer has to deal with being widowed, to bear the burdens of all the members of the LDS church, or to deal with an old, weak, imperfect body. It was a happy day, because he passed into the good part of our eternal lives.

Thanks for the video I'm a mormon and when I heard from my brother Jan. 27 2008 that of President Hinckley's Death I was so devistated for his passing. He truely was a man of God he taught us so much. I felt very happy for him in heaven with his dear wife Sister Hinckley but when I thought of how we lost a prophet I was just devistated

In YW we were talking about him and one of the leaders read and article. Its were are all in heaven and talking about what time we lived. Someone would say i fought with Maroni, I saw Jesus make the lame walk. Then someone would turn to me(or you) and ask when did you live? I would respond I lived when President Hinckley was alive. A hush would go over the crowd and everyone would quietly stand in awe of this amazing man.

President Hinkley was the most humble and compassionate man. His presence in this world will be greatly missed. Now he is back home with his wife, Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I'm sure his homecoming there was something quite spectacular!! Thank you Glenn for your tribute.

I have gotten to see a few of Mr. Hinckley's speeches on BYU TV. He was truly a man of God. I really enjoyed his speeches, and had the priveledge of his insight. I wonder if BYU TV will continue showing his talks, I hope so. I learn so much from them. President Hinckley was truly a beacon of light in a world that is so dark. I feel a little bit of a void in my heart with him being gone, but the wonderful thing about the LDS faith is that you KNOW we go on and live as families. Pres. I hope it is ok to post this. I am 15 years old and a faithful member if the LDS church. I attended President Hinckley's viewing on Thursday, and got to see him in person one last time before he was laid to rest. Never have I felt a stronger feeling of awe and just, I don't know, just a spirit that felt so strong to see him. It was something I'll never forget for the rest of my life. And I am so glad that Glenn beck did this. to see a prominent figure tribute him is just wonderful. Thanks Glenn.

The love and care they shared for one another was most inspiring. Just listening to him speak in any address made your life immediately better. I also had thought that I would fall apart at the passing of President Hinckley and was surprised when I didn't shed a tear when I heard the news. A feeling of great happiness came over me and I too was grateful that he was again with his beautiful wife. Heath Ledger is receiving more media attention regarding his short life than Gordon Hinckley is regarding his long life of dedicated service. Whether a member of the LDS faith or not, or anti for that matter, Gordon Hinckley motivated people to be better individuals thus making the world we live in a better place! This should tell you what kind of world we live in, when Pres, Hinckley's passing goes with very little notice in the media, but Mr. Ledger's life is full of fanfare.
